Awesome performance, of the greatest 20th century opera!

In a century which has seen the greatest Strauss operatic compositions and Turandot, among others? No, I think not. The Lulu dramaturgy is certainly interesting despite its absurd complexity but, despite some impressive vocal passages by the lead character, the score is utterly atonal and without a single memorable leitmotif. Must have been exhausting for Stratas. Dialogue is all over the place, flabby and garrulous. Shock value just for the sake of it is neither music nor art. I pushed myself to watch this "famous" 1979 Paris world premiere of the full 3-act version but have no intention of ever paying good money to watch such garbage in the theatre.
