I was never into tarantulas and always thought they were nasty, until I came across this channel. Now I want to own one! Thanks petko for the great content!
I’m not the first person to say this but you cured my arachnophobia, your channel is so interesting, it made me admire arachnids rather than detest them for their looks. I even managed to touch one recently albeit barely, thanks. Keep up the quality content, you are absolutely someone to look up to, your work is amazing.
to make an enclosure for the jumping spider: you could take a section of clear PVC or acrylic pipe , cut it in the middle , and connect the two section again in the middle with screw connectors. then glue a cap on each end , drill venitaltion holes , done. this way you can have a bottom section with some substrate and a top section where the spider can build its little web, and unscrew it in the middle for feeding. hope this helps.
Petko, for the jumping spider, from my experience they usually do better with more space and things to climb on (leaves, twigs, etc). As for it webbing on the lid, what might help is to put some kind of small tunnel with curled leaves or if you have small enough quark bark. And you should try to make it a multi leveled enclosure (use stiff leaves to make platforms) and you really don't need hardly any substrate unless you want there to be some kind of cave or live plants or terrain changes. Jumping spiders are super fun to keep. But one thing you should take into consideration is that they do like to explore so if possible take them out and let them run around every once in a while. Something that is cool you can do with them is let them eat on your hand. Let them crawl around and put like a flightless (partially injured helps too) small bug and it will take it down on your hand. Its pretty cool. You should try it.
I was never into tarantulas or any insects .....and then i found Petko....been a subscriber for a good 5-6 months now and i wont miss a video ! Love your vids bro keep it up cant wait for you to move to the new space !
I just love that sling at 4:00. So cute. Beautiful color and fragility. I can't wait to see these little cuties grow. Thanks Petko for your knowledge, study and time. Just awesome. Very professional.
What a bunch of cuties! Especially the Caribena laeta...I truly feel she/he was saying hi to you, especially with how it was raising its front legs to you! Awesome video as always Petko. :) P.S. That intro was amazing, ahaha. :D
i like to see the very small spiderlets bcus theyre cute its amazing how they live in super tiny plastic spider pots and they dig a hole and have a web and it is their home
Since I've stumbled on your videos around a year ago, I've always look forward to Tuesdays and Saturdays (cause of the time difference, your videos is out on those days instead of Mondays and Fridays)...and now I also look forward to Thursdays. I have a small huntsman spider sling and I use the info I learned from your videos to care for it...I've had it for around 4 months now and it has moulted twice. So, thanks to you I have kept it alive for so long. I also handle the spider a bit, but it still likes to run away, so as you always say 'have a catch cup ready' 😁. I love your videos so much, it's the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning. I open your videos and watch it...and since some goes longer than before...I now wake up half an hour earlier, just so I can watch the whole thing 😅. Could you please give a shout out to me. Thanks Also, for the jumping spider...why don't you do another triangular ferrero rocher enclosure for it. That way you don't break it's web when you open the lid of the enclosure. Or is the ferrero rocher enclosure too big for it right now? Anyways, good luck with everything. Love your creative vids and will always be a fan. Shame I don't live there (I'm in Australia)...would've been great to meet you in person at an expo or something 😅.
I love your sling feeding vids! I only have slings so it's fun to see someone interact with the same ones I have. Nice shots of the c. laeta and the c. fimbriatus!
For next wed video or sometime soon can you show the ant colony for a quick update? I just wanna see how they like the new place and how they set it up. Also always include sling videos. I love watching them.
WHAT !!!! I just saw my name pop up on my screen ON YOUR CHANNEL!!! Petko, thanks that was awesome of you!!!. And Yup. Africa postal service ... NOT very efficient. Lol.. I actually had to show them on google maps where Croatia was, and it STILL took 2 months. At least you got it tho right?!?! Thanks again.
Hello My Name Is Danny And I Ran Into Your Video While Looking At Videos about Spiders, I Really Enjoyed Your Videos Especially The First One I Watched From You. Love Creepy Crawlers, Love Your Spiders, beautiful colors.
Not uncommon for Euthalus sp. red to skip eating. I have had mine for a few months now. It has eaten once. Also, when you open them up...they LOVE to explore. Mine will crawl right out onto my hand. Total sweetheart.
I hope to buy some slings at the expo. I know they are really hard to raise but I’m determined. I want to dedicate so much more of my life to these awesome inverts.
That intro tho, hahaha i thought I have not played the video until your face showed up in the corner of the screen. Some love from the Philippines 🇵🇭 . I love your videos a lot 🤘👍
i just ordered my first tarantula (Branchypelma Harmori/ Ex smithi) ive always been kinda creeped out by spiders but through watching your videos ive became fascinated with them, i find tarantulas different to true spiders obviously and in some way less creepy haha
Your videos are always awesome and well done bud. Your clever, smart and it shows in most videos. Always looking forward to your videos keep up the hard work bud. You made me a fan of the Iridopelma Hirsutum beautiful animal.
Try putting a tiny twig slightly shorter than the top of your Phidippus Regius enclosure, maybe with a little leaf on and you may find that the tiny sling will web onto it and the side of the enclosure, making it easier to get the top off. It works for my 200 Jumping Spider slings!!!
i always love these vids so much feedings and its soo cool to see ur slings doing soo well and ab as can be :) love them so so much keep up the epic work
In my opinion (my own definition and observation) a Sling is usually a tarantula which still lacks colors (1.5 inch or less) while a juvenile is a T that has a bit of adult coloration. :)
I love it when they happy dance!👏 Oh and I subbed to Spydey vee, he has an hilarious alphabet song for spider keepers. 😂👍 A- for Acanthascuria B- for Brachypelma C- for Chromatupelma D- for Difficilis *Drum solo in clown wig and sun glasses*
i consider my T's as juvenile when their reached 6th instar(?), around 2inches and at that time they show some coloration to flaunt that they are not babies anymore.
Hi Petko, I love your channel and videos. I’m not familiar with all t species Latin names and was just wondering if you could also use the common names in future videos at all please. Thanks
dude that little jumpscare at the beginning x)) Keep it going, today you've earn one sub from me ! love your stuff even if Im not into spider at all but u know it bring me some idea ;) Keep it going like that love your channel !
I am a new subscriber. I'm curious, where are you from? You have an interesting accent. (Loving you videos. I am enjoying learning more about your tarantulas.)
Hi Petko! i'm gonna buy my fist tarantula the 7th of April! It is gonna be a Acanthoscurria geniculata sling, i'm so excited, you're the one that started my passion and i will gladly accept any tips you have for me :)
Why did the one at 10:58 look different, it almost looked like it had 4-5 legs on one side and 3 on the other and one was super long....is it just a mutation?
I usually differentiate between sling and juvenile this way; do they have adult colors/markings yet? If not they're slings. If they do have adult coloration but aren't adult, they're juvenile.
a tarantula will be consider as sling from 1 inch to 3 inch and then 3.5inch to 5inch will be juvenile to subadult depending on the species some tarantula will mature at this size especially dwarf tarantulas and also for the females side of the dwarf tarantula and above 6 inch wll be adult to mature
*Quality intro*
definitely
I was never into tarantulas and always thought they were nasty, until I came across this channel. Now I want to own one! Thanks petko for the great content!

i always love these vids so much feedings and its soo cool to see ur slings doing soo well and ab as can be :) love them so so much keep up the epic work
Petko, For your jumping spider... maybe store the enclosure upside down? Is the substrate solid enough to hold in the middle?
For the jumping spider why not make an enclosure out of the chocolate cone case or something like it like you did in a previous video?
I love these intros so much
Please do an update on the Ferrero Rocher enclosure because that was a very cool build.
a slow motion camera would be so cool on these videos
In my opinion (my own definition and observation) a Sling is usually a tarantula which still lacks colors (1.5 inch or less) while a juvenile is a T that has a bit of adult coloration. :)

Can somebody tell me the name of the the tube container for slings? Thanks in advance
I thought my pc froze until that head pops.... hilarious!!!
11:05 is the t missing a leg?

Dark Den do you have a grammostola rosea spider because I do its very friendly
I have a question is it bad to give a "sling" too much room at the start? Or should you start small and rehouse when you need to.
