Hello, I'm Ssangmun-dong's baby fairy who appeared in the video. I am so happy to be able to promote Korean shamanism. Thank you very much for making good memories :)
쌍문동애기선녀TV hello ssangmun-dong’s baby fairy I just wanted to say how interesting I found your interview take care and I wish you happiness and continued prosperity x
This was hella interesting, she's really warm and comforting to listen to even when she was possessed, usually I always get creeped out when watching videos about communicating with spirits or even vids of abandoned places. SOLID CONTENT ONCE AGAIN
Amazing interview! I actually took a course at university about Korean shamanism so to hear her speak and confirm again what we learned was really cool. Thank you so much for sharing Korean culture and history with us!

Please rework the English subtitles. Words like "possesses" The shaman actually meant "serves" and that the baby spirit lands on her not 'ghost' either. It's important to clarify this because in English and western interpretations of non-monothesitic traditions, these words have different implications and meaning.
english doesnt justify korean at all.but using polite terms and acceptable grammar sends the message. in this particular instance korean shamanism and korean religion is unique so learning korean is very important and understanding the subtitle using korean learning as background should help people discern what the vid is really trying to say.
I must have missed this one's notification... THANK YOU so much for this video. Shamanism in Korea is something that fascinates me as much as Druidism in my home country, Ireland. 너무 너무 너무.... 감사합니다!
Thank you so much for the interview! I came to know shamanism from kdramas and always wanted a reliable source to explain what it is about, since is different from what we see in western religions, even the ones that deals with spirits. Nothing is better to learn about a system of beliefs than to first hear about it from someone involved in it! The questions are great and she is really good at talking, very confident and straight to the point. The ancestrality of the rites and the richness of the indumentary are really fascinating! Hugs from Brazil!
Thank you so much for this interview! As a pagan myself, I've been interested in the little bits of Shamanism I've seen in dramas and what I've read about.
this is something i have always been curious about. thanks James. In k dramas they are usually shown (i haven't seen that many dramas though) with a strong character usually in a more comical way. This was really interesting to watch.
What a beautiful way to bring more awareness and information about shamanism. I didn't know so much about it or anything other than available pop culture references
This is a really fascinating and inspiring interview - Shamanism is a very strong belief to many countries and cultures and this video is very open, refreshing and quite uplifting really! A very religious young women here but not in anyway forcing us that the only way to believe is her way. Perfect. Yet another fabulous interview - thank you!! ^^*
Put some respect to this priestess's name. A mudang's life can be very lonely and hard. Thank you for your service and serving Korean people and mankind in this way, bosal.
This is so interesting! Thank you for giving us a more realistic perspective of shamanism. I am sure it is greatly dramatized when we see it in korean media. Thank you to all of you!
LOOOOVE this!! Thank you so much for making this. I have been interested in knowing more about Korean shamanism but I find very little information in English (or Spanish), and I am barely learning Korean. Some of what she says seems similar to people called "curanderos" in Mexican culture, but this shamanism seems a lot more structured, and for curanderos they read candles or tarot cards, or use some form of divination tool, whereas here it seems shamans just master the art of putting themselves in a receptive mode for possession. I would love to know more about why they use the hand fan, and why does the sound of the bells help in channeling the spirits. Also about what type of methods they use to cleanse people of spirits or curses. Please consider doing more videos on this aspects of Korean culture that are more rooted in ancient times and not so much on modern entertainment industry. Maybe visit a haunted place in Korea? I head there are a lot of them.
wow!she even disclosed all your friend's info without giving his full details. Wish i know korean i can visit her and do one for me. I had some unexpected dreams in the past which i ignored it but when it happened i was shook. none of my family knew about it until this year n of course they all were shocked. i really get stressed whenever i dream. so i hope i'll find shaman like her soon to help me
Yup, that's how these kind of things work...these tricks have been around for a long, long time, but they continue to fool people because humans think in sadly specific patterns.
@@래래피 if you choose to believe that supernatural stuff like this is real, that's your choice, but I'd urge you to look up James Randi if you'd like to see how these people work. They use pretty simple tricks.
Bro...Philippines is more scary because of mangkukulam(witches) than shamans because shamans won't curse you back unlike the mangkukulam they are willing to do so

Thanks for the very interesting interview! That gave a lot of insight On a different topic, I just want to point out that the examination at 3:19 is a Sagittal reconstruction CT Scan of her spine, not an 'x-ray' per se, although CT do use x rays. Also, the date of examination is visible, which is 2011, and she revealed that she had that accident when she was 17 years old, so we can guess that she is now 26 years old. I don't know if this is general information or not, just want to point it out in case you want to hide that information if the interviewee would rather not spread her information about Also interesting, that kind of burst fracture with posterior column involvement and spinal canal involvement usually has lasting irreversible sequels even with stat decompression procedure. Props to the korean medical team who handled her, and/or that in itself is already a miracle or a 'symptom'
i don't believe in ghosts but this was highly interesting, as i like seeing the logic behind those kind of rituals. but i must confess if you work at it you can become a good reader of people and tell very exact stories of their paths, i do it with tarot for fun. there are these patterns and phrases that repeat themselves and general statements that culturally binds a lot of people (like studying in korea, or a man getting angry when at his boiling point because they typically repress their emotions). then you go on the reactions. i'm not saying she's a scam or anything, she looks very gifted and says greed is bad which is reassuring. but you have to be conscious that there may be multiple explanations for a lot of the things you see, some paranormal and some not
Em well that’s not what she is. There are no patterns in speaking if you actually know about Korean Shamans. They worship goddesses/gods as we have many shamans in Korea. But they are different than psychic/ clairvoyant or tarot cause they are more accurate. THEY Can study and make it look real. If Moodang’s real, she CAN’T STUDY. Usually something keeps happening to her/him negatively till they accept their journey. For that Moodang, she used to have her legs paralyzed. So she needed to accept her faith. (Shinnaerim: Coming God) Then she could walk. So what do you say? Not every Moodang is like her but I’ve been following her for many months and she’s real. There are nothing to do reactions or etc lol. It’s not science. Korea has lots of history and one blood usually - and Moodang(Shaman)’s are always have been the part of us.
You just said you use tarot cards. Then you should know it’s more than just reading the person involved and it can be very specific to the person you’re reading for without even seeing them or knowing much about their story.
Yess, this is a very interesting content! More like this pls! When talking about SK, people would talk about about typical topics, such as kbeauty, kdrama related and kpop related. I love Simon and Martina when they lived in SK back when, because they would give opinions as how they experience it as a foreigner. And I like that. It's the same with you, it's just that you're a local. Will be waiting for more content from you James!
This was a fantastic episode! I've watched another similar one on another Korean YT channel *ahem quack quack* - but I feel this was more interesting and positive. (Not dissing the other video, but just sayin') The Shaman was really open and informative. There was no gimmicky, creepiness but more of a sense of wonder (when Baby Angel knew about all your details) I love Asian folklore and mystic but it's hard to find resource that shows it from a ...neutral..position rather than a "voodoo, cult, creepy" angle. So kudos to James for another great production!!!
In malay archipelago, shaman is called bomoh or pawang. Bomoh basically deals with supernatural entities. Due to religious influence, this profession is frowned upon by many but some still seek for their services.
In Indonesia we call them Dukun. My grandfather was one of them. My family was looked up due to his position but none of his grandchildren want to be like him.
In Hungary a real shaman lives in secrecy and only chosen ones deserve to know about their identity. Very hard to find a real Hungarian shaman and surprisingly they call good ghosts that you ask for help or to just talk to angels instead of ghosts. Not easy to explain in English but i was given a name and a drawing of an angel to make contact with because i was told that it is too dangerous to try to make contact with a random spirit that could possess me if it was evil. Shaman also put me in a trance so i could see some of my past lives. Heard of a story of a shaman teacher putting like a curse on a student for not paying extra money for lessons so the student would always feel cold or something. That student could move light object with his mind and other shaman could read my mind which i did not feel comfortable with but i was only 15 so i didn't go down that path to experiment with the unknown. I was told i was sensitive to spirits/ghosts and had some special abilities but i just blocked out all that more than 20 years ago. This video was very interesting. Can't wait to see more
Wow... Defo an interesting vlog to-date James! I can see she's certainly a genuine person, and the things she said about you and your friends, you put 'true' as only both of you can confirm so. You didn't ask her to tell your future, because I'm sure that's rather a private thing, and she read your character and what you did before very well. We are also getting to know a part of you through her! 👍 Ok, we will wish you happy birthday next March! 🤗 Kamsahamnida 💖

Really interesting video and interview! We have a similar practice in Singapore where there are Taoist mediums who can get possessed by specific gods and they will speak to you and advise you on your concerns and big decisions. Just wondering - was that all that the 'baby angel' said? Or did you cut out certain parts for privacy reasons? Because it seems that she did not really give you guys a lot of advice etc. (over here in Singapore, the gods usually gives advice, on-top of their reading of the person). Really enjoy your videos, thank you!
I have to say that she got skills of confessing people and she knows how to read people but from my point of view she was generally taking to both of you and didn't tell you about your your future. I do believe in spirits but the would never be able to tell you what your future would look like nor know anything about your personality. They are spirits no God but to be honest korean drama made them more interesting and really showed how they operate in the korean culture
bru you and DKDKTV should legit do a collab also I watched a few of your other videos you seem like such a nice person anyway I know this weird but ok all the best also this video is so interesting
Fascinating! I am curious, since she did not attend the earthly academy to learn the shaman rituals, and attended the academy in her dreams instead, is she accepted as a true shaman in the greater Korean shaman community? (My apologies if I did not understand the translation correctly.)
This was so beautiful to watch! I’m a medium but I don’t allow spirits/ghosts to possess me, I act as a channel instead. I also don’t worship any particular ghost, diety or spirit. It’s interesting seeing the different practices. She’s right when she says curses reflect back onto you. I’m a witch and I’ve seen hexes backfire on others, personally I wouldn’t dream of hurting another person. I’d like to be a shaman because I already heal people (reiki healing) and I’m just entranced by the entire lifestyle/practice. It’s my dream to live in nature and fulfill my life purpose helping others. She has a very lovely energy, I can tell she’s genuine and very experienced. This really opened my eyes, thanks for this video!
This of Type of worship is quite similar to our culture( southern part of India) .Even in our ritual ,spirit come into person's body and forecast the same like she did... Very interesting.. Thank you 🙏
In India there are Tantrics who communicate with Spirits or ghosts which are called low level entities. But it is not recommended at all to communicate with them because after the person( who communicates with spirits) is dead he wont get Moksha(liberation) , instead he will get stuck with them and roam around in the earth just like them. It is advised to communicate with Higher entities like gods or even Demi gods in Tantra. Because they are the only one which can erase your bad karmas and give Moksha in this life time or in the next life time.
Does she have any contact address? I would like to know more about Korean shamanism, like what does having an ancestor Daeshin Halmoni mean? I was told that by a shaman and I can't find an answer anywhere.
If a shaman told you that you have a Daeshin Halmoni, it could simply mean that you have an ancestor as a guardian angel, so acknowledging her and thanking her in prayers will do you good, or it could mean that you will need to become a shaman for longer and healthier life, that life won’t be kind to you otherwise and she’s here to help lead the journey. But there are a lot of fakes in the shaman world. This particular counselor has her own UA-cam channel, copy and paste “쌍문동아기선녀”, where her contact info is fully disclosed but I hear she is fully booked for two years.

Hello Scouter! How have you been? Still here in this channel?
I wish everything is ok for you.
Have a blessed time and life ....
I really felt the energy shift once she started to get possessed by "baby angel"
Where can I find more videos like this
Just Wow...I'm flabbergasted!
Fascinating! I am curious, since she did not attend the earthly academy to learn the shaman rituals, and attended the academy in her dreams instead, is she accepted as a true shaman in the greater Korean shaman community? (My apologies if I did not understand the translation correctly.)
We both have a birthday on the same date ^^ This video was super interesting! Keep going! ~
Though it doesn't apply to you because you have different family history. Many Mudangs see through your family history as well
@@MelodySorrow Yes, that's right, just wanted to point out that we were born on the same date xD
Everything aside can she share her skincare routine with us?
wow thats must be a great experience
This was very unique video 👏
There are some similarities with the Zulu culture in South Africa. Ancestral worship and shamanism (we call them sangoma here).
That's what I was thinking too!
I’m amazed by this video!!! Very interesting.... I was preparing my heart for something creepy, thank God it was not but very informative!
Greeting from Nepal Himalayas .
This of Type of worship is quite similar to our culture( southern part of India) .Even in our ritual ,spirit come into person's body and forecast the same like she did... Very interesting.. Thank you 🙏
Did she ask for your name before this interview? Did you tell her you were going to make a video for your channel?
Raphanne skeptic, huh?
@@TheYGElitist yes, very 😁
This is amazing 👌
Greetings from nepal .. and its deities n gods/goddess not ghosts. Dont misinterpet .thxs
"It says here.." is it like the baby ghost see something like books in front of him/her?
Those ghosts also need to study as well. She doesnt read any books but thats how they talk when they see something in ppl
wow shamans are really amazing.
애기 선녀님을 여기서 보다니..?
This was so interesting 😯
@@langmu12 many thanks!
Her voice was louder after calling the baby spirit 😮
baby hand prints keep appearing on surfaces around me what could this mean?
