    It's gonna be 11 years since he left RHCP to be more free, and people still expect him to do the same old thing. Leave him alone, he owes you nothing. At this point you have to understand that negative criticism will not help him grow because he knows exactly what he's doing. Appreciate or go away

    "There are times when I stopped thinking creatively on my instruments. I think purely techniquely." - The Empyrean interview
    I just hate seeing these comments where people are disapointed cause John has failed their expectations. John has never made music for the audience. He once said that creativity is the thing that keeps him in this world and this stuff will maybe lead him to a new creative product. Why did he share it with the public? Why not to?

    • @limoncr5205
      @limoncr5205 3 роки тому

      He did make music for an audience. When that started to be a conscious commercial decision in the band, you can see some very good songs, sure, in By The Way and SA but also a lot of them quite 'average', plain, for RHCP. Singles also chosen for a specific public, like Hump de Hump, 'funk' song, Snow, which is a sweet song for children almost while they had much better songs like Hey, Turn it Again, We Believe, etc. It began all to sound pretty light and I dare say sterile for a band like this. Yeah.. I'd like them to go wild, experimental, spontaneous.. The way they are when they jam.

      Im wondering, if this exact same track was played to you by some random dude, would your reaction still be "this is sick, you people dont understand, i love it..." ?
      Cause ive just listened to it, and i gotta say this is the biggest pile of random shit sounds that ever got recorded, and as being "noise" its the exact opposite of music. I knew before noise was scientifically proven to be bad for your health, mental AND physical, but this just confirmed to me as i started to feel like a complete shit at about 7th minute, and if i listened to a couple of hours of this i would probably murder somebody or commit suicide.

    Regardless of the content which is painful at points but gets very interesting and musical, I'm just glad to hear you share some new material, John. To those thinking this is a troll, that would be very shallow if true. John is one of the most genuine artists of this time and in my eyes it would be highly unlikely he would spend that much effort to actively fake out fans with a medium (music) that is sacred to most. This isn't Weird Al Yankovic. And I'm almost certain he's not about to put this out now just to shake off casual admiring listeners and fans and then release another Shadows Collide With People in 5 years for the ones who are still stuck to his tail. If you're not getting the music you want to hear, go out and make it yourself.
