Hi yogis, some of you have been requesting meditation tutorials so I'm offering you this very simple 15 minute meditation that is perfect for beginners!
I'll go over the basics of meditating and then we will go right into it. The trick is to not obsess over clearing your mind! Don't worry about always being still, always being thought-free or meditating "perfectly". Simply sit and breathe, that's it! Over time the spaces between your thoughts will distance themselves but there's no need to rush or force it.
Make sure you are sitting comfortably, either on a block or a few blankets. You can even sit on a chair if sitting on a floor doesn't work for you! I hope you enjoy this simple and straightforward guided meditation :)

New subscriber here. I was so discouraged at first, I suffer from depression and anxiety disorder. When I close my eyes, I always feel like someone is about to attack me from behind, so I was very distracted at first but it got a little better as time went by. Right after the meditation i didnt notice any difference. But now, a few minutes later i feel so soo relaxed.

Great Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you considered - Marnaavid Unexplainable Intervention (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for learning how to hack your flow state without the normal expense. I’m not going to lie I just went on a roller coaster of emotions. First meditation in a long time. Started crying out of nowhere and then it turned to happy tears and I felt my problems peeling away like layers. Opened my eyes grateful to be breathing this amazing air and looking at this beautiful world

I have to thank you for this meditation. I have been trying to meditate on and off for years, to bring quiet to my morning routine and to manage anxiety. Strangely enough, I would start to feel that I wasn't meditating in the "right way" because my mind would wander, and this would only amplify my anxiety. You made me understand that this is about practice and not perfection. This allowed me to have a peaceful 15 minutes. Many thanks!

I’ve been doing this for the last week everyday when I wake up in the morning. And I promise I’ve cried every time … idk why I’m crying or but I definitely gain clarity on what I want in life at this current moment.

Kassandra, I was just attuned to reiki and I did my first two healings last night. They were great! So my next step was to try meditating for the second time. The first time was..eh! After days of isolation, currently right in the middle of a global pandemic, I came back to this video for meditation. It’s been a while since i’ve practiced but it felt good to meditate again. I dedicated it to my mom, who struggles with mental health issues and is terrified like me. We both have PTSD. Thank you for making this resource, Its a beacon of light in this darkness we are living in.

I was a fresh graduate, in my new first corporate job and away from my family.
I'm married now, moved abroad, and still come & search for this video.
I still dedicate sending the clarity to my mother and my sister, strongest women in my life. Still brought tears in my eyes today.

This has literally been a life saver to someone like me who has anxiety. My resting heart rate recently has been higher than normal, even if I'm laying doing nothing. My mind is constantly moving, thinking... even in times I don't consciously want to, I find my thoughts getting bigger and louder on their own. I honestly just followed this video ONCE (this is my first try at meditation) and my heart rate went from 105 - 82. Words cannot describe how thankful I am that I found this video. Will be practicing this on the regular from now on. Thank you sooo much ❤️❤️❤️

I have the same thing and it always scares me ): I was doing fine but the part with the hand over the heart made me get nervous because then I think about my heart which rises my anxiety and heart rate. But this video help me a lot honestly I felt a lot of stress leave
this is my first time meditating because everything else i have been doing since a traumatic experience of mine hasn’t been working. i decided to finally bring this into my routine. i was always fearful of it bc i didn’t wanna get lost in terrifying thoughts or flashbacks, but this was the most calming and freeing feeling i have ever felt. thank you so much for this. i loved the dedicating this to someone else, too. 💕

I am one who has trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I often take Unisom for sleep. I completed this meditation and slept seven hours of uninterrupted sleep. I look forward to more videos. Thank you.

I just found this video tonight after searching for meditation for beginners. I am experiencing some traumas and anxieties lately. I didnt do perfect but I felt VERY at ease. My troubles seemed very small when I was focusing. VERY well made video and I will hereby start meditating. Thank you, Kassandra.

All I can say is wow...... this month I decided to partake in “sober October” giving up alcohol, weed and sweets for a month. I haven’t been sober for a full month since I was 16, I have been thinking of things to help with my anxiety and depression while attempting this goal. So after a terrible workout I come home and open UA-cam to find this video, filled the tub with epsom salt and hot water. Sat in the dark and played the video, I didn’t think i would get anything from it based off my thoughts in the first little bit of the video but after a couple minutes of getting focus on my breathing my face started to tingle a little, then it started moving down my body and got so intense I thought I was on something. This was amazing!!!! I will continue the practice of meditation, even after sober October 😌

First meditation ever, just the kind of video that i needed to relax and want to continue lerning more about medidation and practecing it.

1st day:
my stress although i still have it at the back of my mind (schoolwork:pandemic/family life/lack of lovelife) seemed kind of lifted from my shoulders.. looking forward to tomorrow
2nd day:
Ysterday i was able to finish most of my tasks. Still daydreamed a lot. Lost focus with school work because of online dating app. Anyway i felt good again today after this meditation!
I've been struggling to understand meditation as i need to keep cleaning the negativity from my mind following life changing health issues. Finally found someone I can understand. First timer here, But Loved it . Can't wait till tomorrow Now I know What to do !! Thank You !! I really liked the pillow idea but still couldn't sit w/ legs crossed the whole time. I 'll get it. I focused 75% 25% my mind traveled I consider this a W for me !!!
Wow it actually worked. I just focused on counting how long I was able to hold each breath before exhaling. i was actually able to quiet my mind and easily bringing back the focus when distracted. thank you!

I must say that I really enjoy this 15 minute meditation, especially when I am fatigued. I find it can refresh me, it can clear my head and help me sleep and it has really taught me more how to focus and succeed with meditation. Kassandra, this one is excellent! Hi Kassandra, I have been doing your yoga for about 2.5 months and really enjoy you and your videos. I have some hip problems, but starting to get them to open a bit, I have worked manual labor for 35 years and arthritis is a real issue, but do my best to keep up and not over work myself. I am going to try your meditation video, I have a problem to clear my mind, but working on that with you, I just haven't been successful yet, will continue to work with you. thank you so much for all of your inspiration.

Hi. This first step really helped me a lot. I was going to a depression after my break up. I don’t know what stage of depression I was though but i always felt like I am finished and scared of even the smallest thing. I started your meditation and looks like it’s going to help me. I got little peace of mind at this very first practice and will do it every day now.
