Yes! All of the dungeons have little musical easter eggs that pop up in the final phases. Off the top of my head, I know Wind Temple has Vah Medoh's theme, and Lightning Temple uses the Gerudo Town theme and the S.O.S. from Vah Naboris.
I knew that the wind temple played the revali theme and vah medoh, the fire one played the daruk theme, the water temple the part of the battle against vah ruta together with sidon and the thunder one played the gerudo town part
Still wish they paid them more respect… this is nice, but at least mentioning their names (besides Mipha) would’ve been nice… it would even invite the new players to play BOTW. I’m also a little disappointed they gave their signature weapons to Rauru’s sages. Would’ve been nice if the new sages said they’d live up to the ancient sages and to the champions
@@ivanm8682 Well... that's just ToTK in general. Except for Zora's domain, people actually seems to have forgotten about events in BoTW. The devs obviously understood there would be people playing ToTK without playing BoTW so wanted to bridge that gap. But I don't know, I really think they should've played BoTW in the first place, or made the game so that they wanted to go play BoTW afterwards. It's just way broken in terms of continuity in general. Let alone sages / divine weapons.
I think it is just the nature of TOTK as it seems that most of the scars of calamity have healed. I think that the point in which the champions are no longer mourned.
Love how this theme mixes in bits of the Fire Temple Theme from OOT, Vah Rudania and Daruk's Theme from BotW, Yunobo's Theme and The Depths theme. Really well composed, with the dungeon itself being really good and fun
@divisionagentbailey6727 the choir sounds similar to the one used in the day 1 release of oot (the choir sample that was subsequently removed for censorship reasons)
6:21 You got no idea how happy I got here, Daruk's theme was my favorite in both botw and aoc, so I deadass just stopped moving and began to listen to the song for a while
This was my first temple. It was incredible hearing the swells of the music as I struggled to figure out the puzzles in here. I was in there for a few hours trying to maneuver around. Not to mention that I hadn't done much Depths exploration at this point either. Really felt like I was uncovering Gorondia and it had been untouched for millennia. When I dove into the volcano, I encountered a ton of new things I hadn't seen before: Poes, ghost soldiers (terrified me), and zonai materials like hydrants. Not to mention I was scared of the gloom enemies too and avoided most combat. But Yunobo made me feel more confident!
this might have actually turned into one of mu favorite songs from this franchise the start resembles the first version of the ocarina of time temple and then theres daruk's theme at the end that did NOT need to go so hard wtf
What a great dungeon man...my fav in this game. The journey to get there...the LORE about a LOST UNDERGROUND CITY?!?! HOLY SHIT!! THE FIRE EFFECTS ALL OVER THE SCREEN?!?!? I was in love man. I know it gets a lot of flack for being "hard to traverse" but I mean C'MON! IT'S THE INSIDE OF AN ANCIENT CITY IN A GODDAMN ACTIVE VOLCANO!!! How can you not enjoy the ride of the end like I did? Music is great too obviously especially the final part with Daruk's Theme...or should I say the "Theme of the Fire Sage" at this point? Lol...such a good temple 😊
This one and Rising Island Chain with the Wind Temple approach as well as the Wind Temple are my absolute favorite dungeon themes. Not an exhaustive list.
I loved the minecarts in SS and was happy there was more in BOTW and I was ecstatic that there was not only even more in TOTK but a whole dungeon based around the use of minecarts. I hope the next open world Zelda game has even more.
I picture Darunia’s spirit playing that walking bass line in phase 3. Just jammin’. Fantastically constructed/stitched together suite here, bravo sir The all terminals activated final resolution back to depthsy wub wubs and subtle haunting additions… that moment. I was like ‘these sons of bitches’ they really just understood the assignment far too well. I can not conceive of a more contextually successful dungeon theme treatment
THis was the first temple I did. To my surprise, this temple (with the water temple) is one of the less appreciated (it is of course, just not as much as a lighting, wind or soul one). But with the ambiant music, the atmosphere of city burried for millenias under a volcano (especially this one, the idea of an antic city, from a time where the gorons where living in the depths is like, soooo cool!)or the puzzles, it was easily my favorite one, I hadnt liked any temple as much as this one since the city in the sky from TP. Congrats to all of those who went trough Gorondia, Goro!
Honest to god when I first heard those four notes from Daruk's theme I felt as if I were under the blue skies of death mountain maw with the Eldin crisp air.
The opening sounds of the song remind me of Vah Rudania’s roar. Perhaps somewhere, hidden out of sight, Rudania is hidden somewhere down here, out of sight, out of mind. Tbh I started to tear up when I heard it. It also gave me a wave of relief in a way.
I was a child, playing ocarina, entering the Fire Temple in Death Mountains Crater again. The chanting...I can hear it again.

The pulsing bass at 0:47 referencing the Depths is absolutely my favourite part.
The fact that the music doesn’t play after you beat the temple is a crime
they should update the game so it does for all the dungeons
Construct Factory is the only one that keeps its theme after it's completed. Great, but also a bit sad.
