It seems like I am really confused and prone to wandering..... My specific question is about Touch Portal. My Church now livestreams, and I am the guinea pig that pushes the buttons. If we switch to STREAMLABS OBS and pair a Touch Portal to a Android tablet, could I use JPG images of sheet music as overlays to the main stream? What about bible verse overlay? Or am I getting too ambitious?
Touch portal will work with OBS or Streamlabs, doesnt matter either way. You can set up a source in your scene in OBS and that source can be your JPEG of whatever you want. Then go to Touch Portal and tell it you want to set up a button to turn on and off that source within that scene. VWA-LAH! Fixed. ;0) Hope that helps!
My web socket is in OBS and the Touch Portal says connected. However, when I go to add an action (such as scene) it says that it is not connected. I'm not sure what's going wrong
I give up, I did the first part and put the webhook in and it still does nothing and as far as I can tell their help/guides were not written by humans. :(
hey i had the same problem and i just reopened and reclosed everything obs, touch portal, and the app and its working perfectingly fine for me i hope this worked for you
I need help i accidently picked the wrong folder and know when i try and download the plugin it just auto downloads and i cant connect it to my obs any ideas anyone?
I hope a constructive comment here mate .... lose the silly multi mirror stuff on your screen when you try to show us something. Terribly confusing ... way too much stuff to wade through to see what it is you are trying to show us. I couldn’t get more than halfway through this ... turned you off in frustration.
Its not something you can change. If you are using the software to capture the software there will always be a mirror. Thats just how it goes with the software. Nature of the beast. If you find a way to record OBS using that OBS to do the recording without mirroring please let me know.

As of this writing, you will need Websocket 4.8. If you open OBS and it's not connecting make sure you are on the latest version of the websocket and OBS.

tried with 2 different phones and a tablet and this just doesn't work and won't connect device to pc. did all the firewall things and I have the latest version of touch portal when I open touch portal there are no buttons. also my router is dual band, could this be the problem?

Love the video. I am about to begin setting up my streams and touch portal is a huge part of that. I am just curious. I had a touch screen Laptop and desktop CPU. Am i able to use the touchscreen Laptop as my Touchportal connection to my desktop?
Yeah that will happen. It let's any user on your network talk to your pc (both ways) which could be considered a vulnerability. It should be safe but most antivirus software will notify you that it happened.
Hi Tim! I'm running on few problems that I can't find out. First, I program the buttons but when I hit them they just open the Edit mode again and do not change scenes on OBS....Do you know how to fix this issue? Than my IPad screen doesn't show the button that I created on the PC even if the settings are correct(IP and port are the same as the PC Touch portal)... It's so frustrating not get futher... :(
Lets figure this out... So, you designed your buttons in the touch portal designer, you went in and assigned them to OBS using the obs settings? I gotta ask all the stupid questions. then on your IPAD you may need to hit the refresh button on the top right of the screen for it to see it. Were you gettting any connectivity out of it before all this or has the ipad been black the entire time?

Sounds great. Can it so macros like multiple keyboard presses? I want to add that I am disabled so I can use one hand so I'm looking for good ways to add keys close to my hand to start things and hit keys in games
Also... I'm trying to create a rule to open OBS page and software - it does it but when I go back to main and click on the button again, it takes me to the folder but also attempt to open a second instance of the software. I didn't study programming so pardon my ignorance 🙈
All of those questions are great, but not things I have tested myself. I dont run OBS in studio mode so everything is immediate. My basic suggestion would be to find the settings in OBS and program them to work with a keyboard shortcut. Then make a keyboard shortcut in TouchPortal to run the same function. That would be the route I would go, but some of your problems sound a bit deeper than that and possibly more advanced than the OBS and Touchportal programmers may have thought of.. Not sure how to help past that... But I strongly suggest joining the discord that TouchPortal does most of their troubleshooting through and I bet they can point you in the right direction! Tell them Tim Lee from Legacy Studio sent you :0)

Can this work on MAC system... Man dont want to install touch portal, is there any way to install it on mac... Could there be a tutorial on this.
I'm not getting the websocket notification from windows, any one know how to get Touch portal to connect to OBS when this doesn't happen?

Dont install ANY apps etc into OBS while its running - I screwed mine up & had to reinstall ALL apps etc..

My stream scenes are not updating :( do u know how to fix this and make them update
I have not heard of that issue, may be worth re-installing the app or if it is the scenes on your tablet, you may need to resync it over again.

No I dont believe so. this is mainly for android and IOS devices.
