    It's a good heater, got it 6 months ago for home. Bought a sediment filter to go before water in. Thanks for video.

    I've been looking to do this in one of my bathrooms. Hate to take showers with others doing laundry,washing dishes and using up hot water when "I" am trying to sing in the shower. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

    Very good up load. I am not sure of your install, however, others might liked to have seen you purge your system of air to prevent any damage to tankless or just have talk about how you did it. Also talked about a flush the water line for any debris. It is all good information. Thanks

    • @SaveGreenHere
      @SaveGreenHere  5 років тому

      Yes Michael, good point. We usually purge after we install the "water in" line, and use a 5 gallon bucket. We do this, and then install the "water out" line that goes to the home. Here is our video of the purging of the water heater..... ua-cam.com/video/cg3iSKM6dcU/v-deo.html

    just got one for my deer camp.. i will install it this weekend... i will mount it outside the cabin, do i have to turn it on then go inside, shower, then go outside to turn off? or can i just leave the red switch on and turn off at the end of the trip??

    • @SaveGreenHere

      It turns on by itself when water pressure is sensed.

    Is there a winterizing procedure for this unit? The manual isn't very well written. I've installed one on my travel trailer which isn't going to be used over the winter. Sub-zero temperatures for weeks at a time are not uncommon where I live. It seems that there should be some way of purging the small amount of water that remains in the internal piping.

    • @SaveGreenHere
      @SaveGreenHere  4 роки тому +1

      Yes there is. 1-Shut the water supply to the unit, should be within reach. 2-Remove the two water lines at the connections to the unit. 3-Attach a wet/dry vac like this amzn.to/2S7EDOI and use an attachment like this one amzn.to/2GkVN9a to "suck out" any water that may not have been drained, that may be sitting on the heat exchanger, to prevent future damage.

    For what is that 2 scews in side of water inlet side. It got O rings on that screws.
    Problem i got, water pressure knob can only be on MIN just when i turn knob little to max. The micro switch go off. Micro switch only goes on if water is turn to MIN. WHY?
    Must i adjust that 2 screws in side?

    For the vent, I have B-vent connected tightly to the top because I read these don't use conventional drafting. Is that true? I have been smelling quite a bit of exhaust in my basement after a long shower, so I know the venting it not all going out the B-vent pipe I installed. Should I leave a space and will it draft? Again, I read it doesn't need to draft, but maybe I am misinterpreting it. I was also thinking of installing a small fan to pull the vent up the vent pipe and out of the basement.

    • @SaveGreenHere
      @SaveGreenHere  Рік тому

      Starting at the 9:20 mark I go over the venting. But you ABSOLUTELY need it to vent. If you smell exhaust of fumes, your vent may be damaged or clogged, so look into it. But naturally, the fumes should just rise up through the stack.

    • @SaveGreenHere

      Check if it has a battery compartment. If it does not, it may be an older model that needs to be connected to a 110v outlet to provide the "spark" for the propane to ignite. The battery powered ones shown on the video are so convenient, because the batteries need to be changed only once a year.

      This is a very good video, but in my recent experience (last week) I could not get the unit to work. I used a 1/2 yellow flex line for gas. The Gas Company came out and said I needed a larger gas line. Switched to 5/8 inch flex line and it works fine now. No disrespect to Save Green Here, just telling you my experience.

      So you hear the ignition of gas? Do you hear the gas come on? Check the three adjustment knobs. Put the winter/Summer one on winter. The one off to the right adjusts water flow. Lower/slower water flow will be hotter, so try adjusting

      Your best bet is to ALWAYS buy from a trusted supplier like Amazon. That's why I used their link on the video description. Additionally, I always spend the $4 or so extra to get the warranty. It's worth it, and if there is ever an issue, you get a replacement, or full refund, no questions asked. Better safe than sorry!

      Just try to return it. Order another, and get the warranty for like $4. I always keep an extra on hand, because it's sometimes easier, and cheaper to just replace the unit, than to try to buy a part. WHat I do is put in the other I may have around, like a cheap 8 Liter model, and return the other that I have a $4 warranty on.

    It is a VERY WISE investment to purchase a 3 year or 4 year on these economy water heaters. If problems occur, you get a brand new one! Also, if your water flow is weak, it would not trigger the flow sensor to ignite. It would not ignite, with the flow being slow, or weak. Some with weak water flow, have fixed this issue by putting in a low flow shower head like this one amzn.to/2DUr81n and low flow sink aerators on the kitchen and bathroom sinks like this one amzn.to/2Zz5IOZ
