    Cody had a similar tactic with his cr.hp it was so good.
    St.mk was plus enough to frametrap into itself so the block string went something like:
    st.mk, st.mk, cr.hp and it was minus oB but it was spaced out far enough that you could whiff punish their attempt to press a button with another cr.hp for HUGE damage.

    If the opponent use DI you can spend Drive to bit it, using aerial tatsumaki

    Great video. I don't see enough people talking about this move and a lot of new Ryu players discredit it as "too slow/ takes to long to evade lows" instead of seeing its uses from long range.

    4:10 yes, show us how it is beaten. Because people will come up with the answers by themselves if they train hard enough. It is better to know our own weaknesses better than our opponent does. That way we can learn how to play around it and fish for the anti-anti counter

    i always thought ryus hop kick was pretty decent along with his other buttons. but now they're just making him even better at this point. i can't imagine what more i could want from ryu; he seems pretty much perfect.

    This is very good. I think it will be most optimal as one of the last resorts during late game though. Because if you have Denjin charge then I think you should always try to go for Denjin charge in to level 3 super. The combo is stronger and the damage is stronger. But if you already tried using Denjin od hashogeki, then I could definitely see this being another option you could do because getting Denjin is not going to be so easy again. And if we're talking about late game, then by the time you get another Denjin charge the opponent should be dead already. If they have low health already then going for Denjin charge gives you less value than just going for a optimal damage combo route and killing them.

    7:09 This move going over crouch attacks is a game changer. I find my offence gets stagnant when someone hogs the block button. Now I can bait them out with a whif and follow this up with this

      It always went over crouch attacks. But you didn't have to luxury to miss. The reduction in hurtbox duration and the pushback in the update made it better.

    Is most known for SF4 Evil Ryu, but Ryu has this kick since Alpha and EX series, back there was F+MK not F+HK.

    I haven't finished watching the entire 25 minutes yet so forgive me if you already answered it, but how does this deal with the opponent trying to jump out or DI you? Because those are the two main ways people react under corner pressure in Plat most of the time.
    Edit: ok so I just reached the part where it loses to jump. Won't be adding this to my game just yet lol
    Edit 2: ok it also loses to DI so file this under "don't do this ever" vs most of my plat opponents

      If you expect your opponent to DI, this also makes a good spacing trap into standing HP, which you can confirm into HP hashogeki or HK donkey kick on punish counter, or cancel into DI if you see it hit their DI armor.

    That move is what brought me to Ryu in this game. I was a Nash main in SFV so I was happy to see a Shoto with a Sobat kick. The move was kind of trash in season 1 but I had faith that they would buff it in this way.

    Good job on the video, Machoor. It's an excellent showcase of how to utilize the buffed 6HK. Like I mentioned before, this is one of the buffs I directly suggested to Capcom Japan as one of the most essential to do. People online called me braindead for this idea! Well, guess what to those people that cursed me, *Capcom has actually implemented 5 of my ideas in the game, including the Wake Drive Reversal!* Inspired by Virtua Fighter, I suggested the wake up idea as a solution against throw loops and to reduce corner pressuring, and despite the western SFC cursing and laughing at me, the idea I said has been included in the game. A major universal idea I've been mentioning since last year July! Capcom didn't think my idea was "braindead" and now ALL those people who ridiculed me are using it! So funny, talk about having the last laugh.
    I must say this for it's important and applies to anyone. Just because I am not a pro gamer, a popular streamer, or a member of Capcom, it doesn't make my opinion invalid. People from the western SFC need to be more open to new ideas and politely consider them before dismissing them. Some ideas may work, some may not, but it's important to at least listen, try to understand, use imagination and have a dialogue with a person who is happy to engageon whether an idea can work or not. It's that simple. Healthy dialogue is a good thing. I have played a variety of fighting games since the early eighties, and I believe that being open to new ideas is crucial for the development of any game. There is no, "well, this is SF", which is a dismissive answer. Like, what on earth does "well, this is SF" mean, especially when you have characters such as Rashid and JP that are very un-Street fighter? As long as an idea isn't too wild, try to keep in sensibilities then it should be golden to talk about, but don't dismiss everything you hear because a Pro Gamer, a member of Capcom, or a popular streamer didn't say it. That's disgusting.

    The toxic behavior in the western SFC community is disappointing, the Japanese SFC & FGC is far above them. It costs nothing to be polite and considerate, especially when reading an idea that clearly doesn't break the game. It's important to be open, think, and be considerate when listening to an idea and use imagination to see if it could work or not, or at least what is needed to "refine" it to work. SF is not made only made for you; it's made for everyone.
