- How to reproduce your own speech using the TI-99/4A, (or Win994A Emulator), QBOXPro software and a TI synth!
The is a re-upload of the video I recently posted. For some reason, the picture quality of the first video was terrible. This time I converted it to WMV before uploading... Much better (and quicker to upload too...) - Наука та технологія
You S.O.B. =) That's incredible. One day, you and I will have to talk on the phone and you're gonna have to walk me through this... There are several programs I've written in XB that I would love to implement speech into. And not just the CALL SAY words in the back of the XB book. Bloody brilliant!
Stunning, wonderful stuff.
Thank you for digging into that speech chip more...I grew up with a Ti 994a and thought it was inferior to my friends apple II and C64 computers. ..but I learned BASIC on that machine and always wanted to hack into the speech box that I had with it...I borrowed an Editor Assembler cartridge and figured out how to get my TI to say ANYTHING hehe...didn't know you could insert any audio and get the emulated hardware to faithfully recreate it.. Cheers!
First computer I ever had was a ti-99/4a. They were great. I use the win994a emulator. Am slowly acquiring an original 99/4a, just getting bits of ebay here and there until I have a complete unit once again. They are a legendary machine, even for their time!
Impressive! I would love to hear it on a TI994A.
Using Archive dot org I found on there site a version of Qbox 3.42 will it still do the same thing? Also how do I get the code to a real TI via disk, sorry I'm a bit of a dumb-dumb would I have to manually program it in the TI's Assembler?
hey nice tutorial..i got the win994a simulator - v3.010 and i cant find out how to start the text to speech application. can you tell me how to start it? greetz
"Wizard needs food... badly!"
very nice!
where can I find that software QBOXPro?
@TheMindOfPat Oh, it was a dumb question, I found it off the wikipedia page of all things. But I still would love to see a technical description of the "coefficients" or whatever the datasheet calls them... or source code for QBox. ;-P
hi, can this be used with call say, and with geneve advanced basic too?
Hello. Could you give me a little help on how to get cartridges/games to work on the Win994a please? I have acquired of the internet, pretty much every cart available. I see some have 2 parts? Some have .g & also .c. Could you please tell me what steps to take in order to get games to run? ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
@furryfeatherycat This. I'm having the same problem, and no compatibility settings are working. Do I need another emulator, for Windows now?
Probably a dumb question, but where did you find qboxpro? I can't find anything (as a guest) on 99er either, maybe they block everything unless you sign up?
where i can get cart assembler/editor for this emulator?
I so far do not see any reason why I could not import that file into GPL and run it from GPL instead of Assembly as most of the Speech utilities are all GPL Cartridges.
is there a source code available for encoding / decoding?
At somebody it has turned out to repeat it? I have comes to an end on ' FILE NAME? '....
steven hawking?
*Took eight minutes before he could actually play the file.*
