I think I can actually fill in on his part for this one, Conor, I'm pretty strongly opinionated here. While in the end lowers aren't really my strongest suit, I have to say ars should have won because his combo was 1. Unprecedented in terms of numbers (3-3-2) 2. The combo had two different consecutive 3 revs, I might have been more understanding of the verdict if it had been two of the same 3 revs, skatw-skatw etc. which would have been easier, but it's the fact that it was skatw-eatw goes to show the level on both inside and outside revolutions 3. The combo in of itself I think was pretty well executed so that counts for something i guess. Onto why I think Ricardinho's combo didn't deserve first, while there's no question of the difficulty of the combo itself, I feel like it doesn't take nearly as much touch to land his combo, especially with the amatw in the middle to break it up and give space for a second touch killed the speed of the combo for me a bit. I think it's safe to say that the result really divided public opinion this year, and a different panel of judges my have given a different verdict, because it really just depends what you value more in a lower combo: power and speed, or power and touch, which is in my eyes the only real difference between the two combos. Anyway, that's just been my humble opinion, no sarcasm intended, you're the expert, so I'd really like to hear your opinion on why Ricardinho won it man!
Okay, well I'm delighted you were not a judge for this competition because you can't choose a winner based on that logic.
