I like a lot of Penn’s views but when he said none of us are smarter than Obama ,I thought he was thinking of how Obama fooled everyone into believing he is not a Muslim. Also that if we liked our doctor we could keep him, that he really loved America by going around the world apologizing for all the worlds ills that were caused by America. And my favorite is Obama said our best is behind us and the economy will be like it is. Enter president Trump, and all that changed. And you believe the numbers from China and the early numbers from Russia? And you compare raw numbers from the U.S. with raw numbers (not proportionality) from places like the European nations? And you think the economic downturn and tons of unemployed are the fault of Trump, not the largest pandemic in a hundred years?
      Point to one emerging viral epidemic that any presidential administration in history has ever responded to with more speed, efficiency, or comprehensiveness. Nothing like this has ever been attempted or done by any administration. Ever. The fact that people like you and Jillette sit in the crowd at the arena without having to make a single decision or suffer a single consequence doesn't change that. Where is your criticism of somebody like Cuomo and other Democrats, who actually encouraged more close contact at public events, ordered older COVID patients to be packed into nursing homes, ignored their own reports advising the need for more respirators, etc.? Or for the way Obama handled H1N1?
      This is just more of the usual obsessed "it doesn't matter if it wasn't Trump, and if it was Trump, nothing else matters" yapping.

      And, give enough time and opportunity, he will most likely show that to you.
      Don't forget, he encouraged and approved of China enslaving a minority group in a concentration camp where they are murdered and used for slave labor, beaten, starved, raped, etc etc etc.
      Anybody who would encourage and approve of such a thing is obviously quite capable of doing the same thing, himself. Under certain circumstances, don't think for a moment that he wouldn't do so.
      Hack, it is quite clear that he intended and hoped, in advance, weeks or months in advance, that all of those people he directed and incited to go storm the capitol, he wanted them to burst into the House and Senate chambers while everyone was still in there, knowing full well that there is a very hiiiiigh probability that they would **murder** some, many, or all of them, and destroy any and all official documents and do what they could to make sure Dump stayed in office.

    When I was a young kid around 12 or so, me and my mom had started watching this show together. We were pretty poor, sharing a house with my grandparents and this show let me imagine what it was to be successful and rich. It was my first real introduction to Trump. Of course it was always edited ti make him out to be the smartest, and savviest person there.
    I started to grow up and stopped watching after the second season, the show had lost its allure for me. I was opening my eyes to the true nature of the world and knew that being rich isn't hard, you just have to not give a damn about anyone else. Im not saying all rich people are unempathetic, but it certainly helps you to become and stay rich if you are.

    I don't get it.

    • @Passenger95
      @Passenger95 4 роки тому +8

      I think Penn is apparently one of the few public American voices left who is able to delineate between "good person" and "good president." Meaning, if I were drunk at a bar, there are very few people I think it would be more fun to have drunk-yelling conspiracy theories next to me than Donald Trump. But I also don't necessarily want the fun and crazy drunk at the bar making policy decisions that affect every life in the country. We have to be able to start making that distinction in America, or there will come an election in 4,8, maybe even 12 years time from which we will never recover.

    • @3TNT3
      @3TNT3 3 роки тому

      @@Passenger95 Well, the only thing that makes sense to me is if when he said, 'No matter howwwww bad you think he is, he's worse,' that he meant strictly in regards to his ability to operate in the position of President of the United States, and all of what that entails in order to do so competently, effectively, and with a level head and temperament. But then I would still be wondering how in the world he could possibly think that Donald Dump is a decent guy. Because I think it's quite clear that he is some form of monster.
      And I think you underestimate just howwwwwwww bad Donald Dump is if you don't think that he, himself, would be someone that if he had been re-elected, that that would be the election that we would never recover from. He has already caused an unbelievable amount of damage to this country that will probably take at least 50 years, or more, to recover from. And if he had been reelected, or does get reelected in the future, that, I can assure you, willlllllll be an election of which we will most definitely never recover from.
