Excellent ! Love the way you do videos, straight to the point, visibility, clarity, can't wait to see other steps, I was struggling with this part cause I though it was gantry belt but (and it's written in the doc ...) it was Z belts :)
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like them. We're still new at this and will hopefully only get better! The next video is coming soon! And a little birdy told me there might even be a V0 series in the near future...
reat video, I got all the way up to around 12 min where you are attaching the x rail onto the Y, but I am stuck here because the holes on my 3d printed parts arent threaded. Is that normal? I am not sure how I am supposed to get the part to stay there without the thread. Not sure if this is normal but any sort of advice on this would be very highly appreciated.
At the 12:00 mark we are threading into M5 T-nuts that were loaded into the X extrusion. Nothing should have threads in the plastic other then a cable gland or something. There are a few parts that do thread directly into it but the holes are undersized so the screws will thread in.
@@MapleLeafMakers thanks so much for your response, however I was a bit vague with my comment. The precise step I’m referring to is the screwing you do at 12:35
Actually, after rewatching your video and looking at the instructions more closely is see that you’re supposed to screw right into the linear rail carriages. Thanks again for your response I’m gonna try again tonight!
the best way to do this is run one belt first and mark it at your desired length (leave a little extra to work with) and then pull it out, and cut the other belt to the exact same length.
Very helpful video! Much nicer than scrubbing through hour long build streams just to see the build steps.
Glad you like it! It's quite a bit of work to put these together and it's great to hear that the community is finding them helpful.

How long did you cut the belts? in the kit there are two belts one with the length 6.2 one wit 5.9m im unsure which one to cut to length :D

Thanks!
No problem!
