Great video sir. I plan to buy a Mavic 3 when prices drop in a few months. In the midday sun, I place my iPad Mini inside an open shoulder bag and connect the iPad Mini with a 3-foot (Apple Lightning to USB connectors) cable to the USB socket of the drone's RC controller.
With a wide-brimmed straw hat on, and the iPad nestled on the shaded floor of that open shoulder bag, screen glare is greatly reduced, even though one does appear rather odd peering intently into an open shoulder bag slung around one's neck while grasping a suspicious-looking remote controller.

Any simple walkthrough on the best settings for master shots/hyper lapses and or any 5K video so you can then use as a reel on instagram? No matter what I try my footage looks low res .. please share advice 🙏

I guess I missed the part about where you talked about the second camera. I did fast forward a little bit through the video but only in two minute increments and I certainly wouldn’t think I would’ve come across at least that much time were you discussed it.

Any ideas on to why some of the drone footages displayed in this video is choppy? Does not look like a frame rate/shutter speed issue, more like related to encoding when exporting

Do I need to dial in fresh locked settings each time I turn the m3 on? Hi and thanks for a very helpful tutorial and run down on the m3’s camera. I’m late to this video as i’ve only just purchased an m3, loving it so far, DJI may have stopped selling it for commercial reasons but in my view this is still a very relevant quadcopter.

Great Video Tyler. I highly recommend getting the rc pro if you can or use the Mini 3 RC pro controller . I used them both with my Mavic 3 In the and they both perform well.

Great video! One quick question, I saw that your exposure compensation for d-log was roughly 1.0 stopover. Have you found that to be the best practice?

I was somewhat surprised when you recommended covering your head with a towel on bright sunny days, this would impeed the visual line of site rule as well as not being aware of your surroundings if approached by an unsavoury character.

no thats just POS macintosh phones that over heat and dim. also how can you properly adjust for a shot while on the ground when the lighting conditions will be totally different once your in the air? doesn't make mush sense. i guess you should just keep everything on auto.. if you stop buying hooded sweat shirts you can save up for a rc pro... GREAT VIDEO im glad you made it and that i watched it

That first tip is awful. If you can't see your camera feed, you need to get an RC, an RC Pro, or just go inside and let yourself (and your phone) cool off, after you've landed your drone that is.
Hiding under a towel is a HORRIBLE idea for so many reasons, but mainly safety.
First of all, you lose ALL situational awareness, and can't see who or what is around you.
Secondly, you lose VLOS (visual line of sight) with your drone. Even if you're able to see the dim camera feed under that towel, you are breaking the law in MANY countries, by not having visual line of sight to your drone. Not to mention causing a hazard and danger to the public, infrastructure around you, and to yourself, and at the very least making drone pilots look like they have no clue what they're doing.
I can't stress this enough. You MUST be responsible and attentive when you fly your drone. If you can't see it, or the video feed, land your drone immediately and only fly when you can see both of those things.

Interesting no link to the drone you're reviewing? no promotion of the DJI smart controller? (Which is far better than using a phone) Interesting review but sort of lacks....

DJI documents state The aircraft and the controller are supposed to be both 100% before each flight yet everyone on UA-cam Emits not following the guidelines! Not really good for the newbies to read one thing in the documents then turn around and 21 drones a senior drone enthusiast goes off and say he get like 20 uses before a charge on the rc ! Read the paperwork that comes with drone
