I am definitely going to give this a go - you make it look so easy, Sharon! We eat fish, but not meat. Could you show some more meat free meals to make in your air fryer please? Another great video baby!
Lovely jubbly Martin and Sharon, i can remember my mum getting all the fresh fish off the local fishing boats at the local harbour, potatoes, peas, all out of our garden the best thing that give it the taste was fresh cows milk that at the farm my dad worked and lived on reared beef cattle, there was one pet cow that was called 130 (that was her tag number) well she would not entertain her own calf. she was going to be sent for killing but it was suggested we kept her as a milk donor, so we ended up milking her by hand to rear young calves, and best part was getting the fresh milk to be used in the house yum yum, leave overnight and get the cream for our cereal next morning, and my mum used it all for the cooking and baking (and had to buy the salt and pepper)
Ohhh that looks just like our old dinner ladies fish pie she used to make at school in the late 70's and 80's, used to look forward to the days when this was served, i'm going to make that at the weekend absolutally, great video guys, mouth watering, 👍🏻
My old mum used to put some hard boiled eggs sliced in half in her fish pie 🥧, that looked lovely as my mum used to make it , Watching from Bicester Oxfordshire England 🏴 happy days
Now that is what you call a fish pie and we are going to make this one foe certain . A great video and always something to learn. We never used to own a this until a few years back I saw Sharon whisk flour straight into something ,I alway used to try and make a rue or try to mix whatever with a fork . Now I whisk everything cheers guys baby Franks going to love it Kevbo&Jackie
You got love a home made fish pie. Tina makes fish pie in the winter good meal. Brilliant mate good see you both enjoying working in the kitchen together now Tina might even try it in the air fryer. 👍
I made your fish pie this evening and it was the best thing I've cooked in my new airfryer oven. Thankyou both so much for all your wonderful help with airfryers.
I've never made fish pie but after seeing how lovely yours turned out I'm going to try it. With cod, salmon and another plain fish .... not keen on smoked fish. Love your sauce too with no added fat ! Have binge watched your older videos , love your recipes, adventures (to Whitby) and air fryer demos 😀❤😍
I love making fish pie, I always cook my fish in the milk, once the fish is cooked I strain the fish out of the milk, then use the milk to make the cheese sauce for the fish. It tastes so much better as use get the taste from the fish. I also use a bit of tarragon as that goes great with fish. ❤
Thanks for the video Martin that air fryer u have looks nice ive got a blaupunkt air fryer i only use it to make chips roast potatoes for a Sunday roast and I use it to make my mums homemade chips i love my mums homemade chips see u in the next one
So good, I made this after recently discovering your channel and binge watching - using foil strips to ease removal of dishes is pure genius! I added some prawns as well and local cockles, just superb. Thank you.
Love your videos for obvious reasons 😂😂!This brand of fish is 5* and worth every penny! I freeze my creamed potatoes in advance to speed up preparation of many meals! I’ll definitely be making your sauce as it all look delicious 🇬🇧☘️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@barrymore87 that’s what I always thought but following what Sharon did as an experiment and mine was also lovely. Maybe my palette less sensitive, but I won’t go back to roux.
@@janispope4295 maybe it's only a subtle difference. it would be interesting trying them side by side. I also wouldn't use cheese sauce in a fish pie so that maybe also hid the flour taste. I might give it a go.
I paid £6.50 for a fish pie in the shops and it had hardly any fish. I worked out the cost of the 2 and a half self made fish pies was around £10 (including the cheese). That's £4 per pie and yours was stuffed with fish.
Hiya Sharon n Martin, I've saved this recipe, looks lovely, but I'm not doing mash,I'm going to try cauliflower and cheese,I'm on low carb, thanks to you, I feel so much better. X 😊
Looks great! We're lucky and have a fish man who delivers. He has his own fish pie mix with ingredients that change depending on what he has that week. I need an air fryer, mine takes nearly an hour!
looks bang to rights that guys better than the super markets they taste minging have seen them packs in aldi dont think there that dear about £3 definitely going give this 1 a go that's for puts some king prawns in as well yummy thanks for sharing guys
I’m new to the AF I have been dying to try this fish pie. ( I was almost sidelined by the fish cakes!) The pie was amazing and Hubby loved it too ❤ Thank-you very much for your wonderful cooking videos I love you guys. Keep up the good work.❤
Just watched this, I know its a bit late 😂 but we've just subscribed a week ago. Cor that's a cracking fish pie. Definitely going on the list. Yummmmmm
Have to say Sharon your fish pie looks awesome, guess what I'm going to make tomorrow🤣well done Sharon and martin. That's me made quite a lot from your vlogs and never been disappointed.💞
This looks so good, we don't seem to have mixed fish pieces here in Ontario Canada. Bet they do on the East and West coasts. I'm going to ask some of the grocery stores if they would do that.
Hi guys. Just watched this. Looks fab. I did wonder if you just put the dishes in on top of the crisper plate in the air fryer or if you removed the crisper plate first and just sat them literally in the bottom of the drawers? Also what are thee plates you are using to cook on. Even with my gas hob on its lowest setting my sauce would have been frantically bubbling away .. can’t simmer anything much but those things you are using seem to work great🤔
Hi Martin & Sharon. No matter how much I re wound the video I couldn't see the name of the foil containers that Sharon said fit in the Ninja dual fryer. Good afternoon Sharon and Martin I’ve just watched your delicious fish pie recipe it made my mouth water and making that for sure one night in the week thank you for exposing it so clearly your number one fan Angela ❤
Love my wife's home made fish pie. Little bit of smoke fish to add a bit of flavour. I add a hard boiled egg in with the fish but not sure where that comes from recipe wise.
Hi both that fish pie looks amazing have you got the 300 or 400 air fryer because I can't get the glass dishes for 300 , thank you for sharing you are both amazing xx
Hi u both ok I made this today tried putting a photo on to show u but cldnt do it we watch Ur vlogs all time Sharon and wat is Ur name thanks from Sharon in Burnley x
Try putting grated nutmeg and white pepper in the milk sauce. Sliced hard boiled eggs on top of the fish before you put the sauce on top add extra richness. I prefer to cook the fish for seven minutes in the milk and cream with an onion studded with cloves. Remove the fish and use the milk to make the fish flavoured sauce. Its very tasty.
I think the shop- bought ones tend to just contain cod or haddock - both, if you’re lucky - bet the mashed potato is cheap packet mash - your homemade version could use salmon and plaice and skate and you can peel potatoes for the mash - cheese is probably cheddar - could use even foreign cheeses (not the stinky or mouldy ones) for the cheese sauce and the sprinkles on the top! Unfortunately, I can’t cook to save my life!
Can't beat a fish pie and I'll be off go get some fish later. Think you have a ghostie in your kitchen as at 12.55 on your video the tea towel moves from one side of the cooker to the other 😂

The cheese sauce was a bit of a surprise to me but a good idea. There is a tinned soup called "Lobster Bisque" which I have used as a sauce before.

Sharon I couldn’t believe the way you make white/ cheese sauce, but it works easy, it’s tasty and less fat! Thanks

It gives it more flavour .
