Luigi is clearly the fall guy. Why would a rich guy who wasn't even insured by them do that? It's disgusting how the media is trying to frame him as this violent killer. What happened to innocent till proven guilty?
If he does go with an innocent plea by reason of insanity, it puts the media/health insurance industry/both political parties in a no-win situation. Given the public's overwhelming sentiment that while, yes, murder is wrong- this was an inevitable consequence of the broken and actively murderous system that has the power over life and death in this country- if he is deemed 'insane' and committed for this, it's a message to the populace that 'you are insane' for thinking that this was indeed inevitable and predictable (if indeed of course, wrong). But no one with eyes and a mental catalog of stories of the sheer devastation this system wreaks on countless lives every year will believe this. If he's nevertheless deemed guilty then it's an admission that no, he is not in fact insane. There are very real and concrete reasons why this was inevitable (if indeed still wrong), and that only the state power (in both parties) supporting the corrupt and murderous profit driven health care industry legitimizes it, not the will of the people. Obviously this is not providers to blame, but the system that milks doctors, nurses, patients, hospitals, etc for all they're worth. Either way, the general population gets to see that those in power will never work for their best interests, and that voting for anything except single payer healthcare/medicare for all is pointless. You don't have to be a socialist or a capitalist to see that this is not an industry which benefits from the profit motive, just as the fire department would not be made better by requiring individuals to purchase insurance and allowing middlemen to create racketeering schemes so that a fire truck will make it to your house (look up Crassius' fire brigade in Ancient Rome).
Tom Dicky was protecting Luigi, but this woman/new lawyer is prosecuting the framed guy instead of defending him. The is convicting him without trial. Fire her!!
Man, still using the same thumbnail to portray him as an angry individual. All while painting the man who's been responsible for thousands of people deaths annual as some loving family man. We see through your charade.
I don't agree with murder, but half the bankruptcies in this country is because of healthcare cost. One serious illness can wipe out a lifetime of savings even with insurance. Michael Moore did a documentary on the health insurance racket in the US. Some people have to go overseas to get the treatment they need. I almost died because my insurance company didn't authorize a needed MRI. Being a Vet i simply went to the VA and they immediately ordered a MRI that detected two large tumors. Thankfully not cancerous but they immediately scheduled me for surgery and this was 20years ago.
Healthcare cost is extremely expensive in the US. All this jacked up food they sell is a major factor. I try to buy organic food when I can afford it and eat very little meat these days.
Yes, health insurance companies lobby republicans to exist just like HR block does. Many countries have free healthcare and do your taxes for you. So rich people actually pay taxes and can’t get better care than everyone else. You known equality.
@@jonathanwallace6667processed food isn’t good. But obesity causes a lot of cancer as well. It’s definitely good to not eat a lot of meat. But also animal products with saturated fat are just as bad now.
@@davebrookbank4831 Go to every single other developed country in the world. They pay less than HALF what we in the US do for health care. By eliminating the middle-man who exists only to make a profit (like United Healthcare), their systems only exist to, you know, treat people and keep them healthy, which is where all the money goes. In more plain english, if you pay $100 a month now for health insurance in the US (that frequently denies you the care you need), you'd pay $50 a month in taxes instead, and never pay another dime. Several other countries citizens pay even less money. And your claims wouldn't be denied the way they are in the US. If your doctor says you need a procedure or medicine, you get the procedure/medicine. And in case anyone wonders, no, actual care isn't better in the US. It is in some instances, and not in others. Also the argument there are long wait lines in other countries was true some 30 years ago. Now, it's about the same everywhere. In no possible way is health care in the US better than anywhere else, unless you're super rich and can buy the best care money can buy. People like Brian Thompson had care like this. People like you, me, Luigi, we don't get that kind of care.

Where is the basic decency in all of this? People in jail everywhere have to deal with conditions that compromise their health. They are essentially treated as sub-humans. In the case of Luigi he hasn't even been convicted of any crime. If he indeed suffers from serious back pain, then a poor mattress is aggravating his condition.
They will never convict him unless by reason of insanity. He has been embraced by most of America. We all recognize how corporations are killing us indirectly, and often directly.

Well they now want an alcoholic adulterer to run the Pentagon, a polio lover to run HHS, and a qanon conspiracy nutcase who sold covid vaccine detox "supplements" online to run the FBI. Compared to those types, Luigi seems pretty sane.
Claiming reason of insanity wont work (IMO). He allegedly planned this hit, tried to hide his face, waited for the victim at a specific place knowing his routine. I believe insanity plea would be thrown out because of all the planning and knowing the consequences.
Five years probation and let him go home. No one has time for this case and no one wants it. And why is the news media ignoring how bad he healthcare system is in this country?

His background and the fact that he has no criminal history played a significant role in determining his sentence. I think it's a fair punishment, considering that it’s only 20 minutes of action."

He's not insane. He's just fed up as most Americans are.

No we don’t.
Who will pay for that? I mean SOMEONE has to, so who do you want to pay for it.
