Diaphragm Wall Construction Methodology
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 лют 2025
- A diaphragm wall is constructed using a narrow trench excavated in ground and supported by an engineered fluid (typically a bentonite mud) until the mud is replaced by the permanent material. Generally diaphragm walls are made from reinforced concrete, though unreinforced walls can also be used.
Diaphragm walls are often used in congested areas or where the excavation depth is very deep which would otherwise require excavation of much greater soil volumes to provide stable battered slopes. They are well suited for deep basements, underground rail stations, rail car unloaders, tunnel approaches, pumping stations and such like. - Наука та технологія
Thanks for this video. From 2008-2010 I lived right above the construction site of a metro station in Shanghai (Line 10, Jiaotong University Station, for those interested). They employed this exact method using a cable grab. Shanghai subsoil is mostly silt with high water content. For two years I had the most amazing view (and sometimes difficulty falling asleep, as they were working 24/7).
You had me at "Removal of the middle dumpling" :)
Fine. A compact, but comprehensive narration for commoner's curiosity.
Thanks mate! This really helped my architecture techniques and more project!
Nice and clean explanation. Best.
Very helpful
Explained very clear. Thanks a lot!
Specific gravity of bentonite slurry has to be maintained at about 1.06 ie slightly more than that of water so as to not water mixed with slurry in the diaphragm wall trench
Very well explanation
good work
explained very well. tq
thanks really helpful in my construction technology subject :)
nice doh wan
very useful
Thanks
Is it ground anchor is required, and also please shown how to install rebar.
its really great
thanks for this video :)
thank you bosskur
2:40 LOL that face
thanks a lot :)

What is the suitable type of additional support for the completed diaphragm walls?
Can i get the ppt for this
👍
How do we connect each panel after the construction??
Jackson Zheng @ 2:16 see the shape of the stop ends, after concreting when they're removed will leave a groove in the panel..
shubham bhandari Ha I see,Cheers Mate !!!
When concreting is shown, crane is not seen. How can tremie pipes handled without it?
