- Today Rafa installs a used amplifier into his boss' "spare car". This car is a "low miles" used Mazda. She's a Beaut! Rafa has a couple problems with the cheap amp kit that he was provided. I make an amp plate that replaces the OEM Mazda subwoofer.
In this episode we will compare Wishbone's system install, to Rafa's install. Will Rafa's woofer sound good in a cheap sealed box?! WILL IT BUMP?!

Never use CCA! But amp installs should be considered essential! The air flow produced by the subwoofers keeps the Corona from entering the body.

If the boss wasn't so cheap. Could've built the box ported with the correct air space volume. And gone with ofc amp kit. System would sound even better. Great video fellas I laughed my ass off making Rafa piss him self with the horn.

Great episode. I love people getting upset about CCA wire. A lot of high voltage transmission power lines are aluminum. There is nothing wrong with CCA. Copper and aluminum both form non conductive oxide. Aluminum also does a better job of dissipating heat. Yes copper is better but if copper is is a 10/10. CCA is a 9/10.
Just got back from a cruise to Mexico, I swear Rafa was at the port. He kept asking me “Senor, head unit”? As I was getting back on the ship and I sneezed on him, I said “excuse me Rafa, I’m not gay”!

Soundman car audio I have an 08 TSX with Navi and I want to add a single 10" type R too. Thing is... Is it possible to get an Lc7i for the sub only, but be ready for the future when I upgrade the door speakers?

Under the seat amp is a great option you dont need to run the power very far.(AC which is the audio signal transmits much better than DC power ie resistance isn't as much of an issue over long distances just like your houses electricity service)

Hey. I have two 12 inch 300 watt AutoTek subs. How much would it be for either a sealed or ported box built (whichever one would be louder) and delivered to NY state? Me vehicle is a 07 ford focus

Can anyone suggest a system for me? I have a 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback and I've gone through 2 'upgrades' to my sound system now and I'm STILL not happy with how it sounds. I went from stock to a LC7i as well as a 4 channel JL amp, cheap JL coax speakers, a 250 watt JL sub amp, and a 12" w0v3 sub in a ported box. It was a big upgrade from stock but I still wasn't happy. Now I upgraded again. Still have the LC7i along with a JL HD900/5 amp. Upgraded the front speakers to some cheaper Focal components (Access 165AS I think?) and the same in the rear but coax. Also have a 10" W6v3 in the HO ported box. I still am not happy with how it sounds. It seems like there's super weak mids and the imaging sucks. I also have a constant hiss any time my stereo is on and I have to crank it up to drown out the hiss.
Any tips?
