      Yes, it is, there's a handful in that area. They're rentals from my understanding, pretty cool. I casted at it because it's the only structure around and it was offering some shade on a very sunny & hot day. 🤙🏽

      Seems like it had gotten worse and worse the last handful of years.

    • @nozrep
      @nozrep 2 роки тому

      yes unfortunately I think it has gotten worse. Same with vehicles on land. The “Texas common courtesy” used to be wave at people who give you a lane or let you in. I do not know if it has to do with how much immigration to Texas there has been in the last decade but I suspect so. And when I say “immigration”, I speak of it as from the perspective- New Yorkers “immigrating to Texas, Californians, Northwesterners, lol. Anybody not from Texas moving to Texas as has been a well documented fact by yhe Census Bureau. And some of them have boats too😞.

    • @ETuss713
      @ETuss713 2 роки тому

      I fish inshore 1 or 2 times a week. I fish for bass about 2 times monthly. I wholeheartedly believe the lakes for bass is much worse when it comes to courtesy on the water. Everytime fishing pr bass a boat will cruise the coast line staring at the libescope screen not looking what's around. Ive had to use my little airhorn, yell, and just get out of the way of them.

      🤣 I will. I never cooked or grilled fish before let alone record myself doing it. I want to prepare fish a few times & test out a few different ways to prepare it before I have the distraction on the camera. Trust me when I say recording at the same time of doing anything is a big distraction, but I'll make one soon & start adding them into the channel. That red was good but the sheepshead taste better lol

    • @TexasAllWaterFishing
      @TexasAllWaterFishing  2 роки тому

      Use google maps and scout out areas, that's the best way to learn new places. I put in at a boat ramp new San Luis Pass but I wouldn't recommend it for new kayakers. Tons and tons of boat traffic and the water can be dangerous out there at times.

    lol that is funny that they ran aground. karma. But also, it is not wrong to talk to them. And I know you know that. Though, I understand you gotta be careful who you talk to, and how you talk to these days. You never know if someone is gonna fly off the handle and go physical with their response. But if benefit of the doubt or plum ignorance still be viable options, maybe he did not know how badly he was violating common courtesies and common fishing ethics. And then of course there are always those who know but do not care regardless. But again yah, unfortunately I’d have probably kept my mouth shut too. Or maybe I’d be talking very loudly to my fishing partner about common courtesy fishing ethics in an extremely sarcastic and passive aggressive manner.

    • @nozrep
      @nozrep 2 роки тому

      fortunately you would have it on video if you did choose to talk to any buttheads and inform them courteously about fishing ethics, and that easily would always prove your innocence should any escalation escalate, and prove you are just being a good citizen, helping your fellow citizens with expanding their knowledge of what common courtesies are, and what angler-to-angler interactional ethics are.

      All good points, normally I would have said something, but Charles spoke to him first. And the guy operating the boat laughed at him and shrugged his shoulders. Telling Charles, "They are behind you now, look there's one over there." After the boaters comment I chose to not waste my breathe or let it upset me. The water was very dirty, the fish weren't biting, I was very hot, and very tired- covering a lot of water already and casting nonstop. I know my fuse was already short, so I let it go.... counted to 10 and they ran aground. There are lessons to me learned in everything, he learned his I hope, and possible someone watching this video might reframe from making the same mistake. I always put a lot of thought whether to show footage like this or not, it's a little negative and I try to leave that out. I just wanted to show those who might think about kayaking the area that there's a lot of boats on the water and most will not give you the right of way. While at the same time show a boater the other side from a kayaker's point of view. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your feedback 🤙🏽
