    I have an opening in a cabinet 27" w by 16" h. What is the size of your cabinet box? Your install looked very simple just wondering how it will work for me. When researching there is no mention of the height of the cabinet box.

    • @HowYouCanMakeIt
      @HowYouCanMakeIt  Рік тому

      the opening is 27"x16 3/4" The depth is 16 3/4" however this was a tight fit for my microwave and I had to use a special inset wall plug to get it flush.

    Great video, thank you! Any suggestion for what to do with a cabinet opening that is slightly too small (e.g., max 23.5" between bracket centers, as opposed to the 24.5" on the frame)?

    I just purchased a counter top Panasonic Microwave Oven, Model NN-SN67HS
    As I was about to install it, I noticed 2 plastic hooks in the back of the oven. These hooks do not seem necessary to the functioning of the oven, but they do not come off easily. There is no mention of this in the installation section of the instruction manual. The oven you installed had them too, but you did not mention what to do with them
    Should I just pry them off with something like a flat screw driver?
    Or do they need to stay there? That would increase the depth of the oven significantly, and may make it unusable for the space I have.

    • @HowYouCanMakeIt
      @HowYouCanMakeIt  2 місяці тому

      I am not sure either they may have to do with keeping space in the back for evaluation but not 100% sure

    Did you simply set the microwave on top of those footers you had screwed down? Or do the feet rest in indentations? or Snap in? PS. Great video. Thanks for sharing your expertise.

      you set them on the footers...they have an indention so you know exactly where it sits.

    I have an NN-SN790S model that needs to be replaced. I am not sure of the model # of the existing trim kit. I am thinking of buying an NN-SE795S or an
    NN-ST77LS but the depth of these models is slightly than the existing model. Width and height are the same. Will the existing trim kit that I have work withe these new models?

    • @user-qm3gi8jj4t
      @user-qm3gi8jj4t 5 місяців тому

      "slightly less than the existing model". Also when referencing the trim kit size, is this the outside width of the outside panel, the inside of the cabinet opening or of the microwave itself?

    • @HowYouCanMakeIt
      @HowYouCanMakeIt  5 місяців тому

      The inside has it's own offset size. I can't recall what it was I would need to pull up the plans for the cabinet. I think I based it off the instructions that came with the trim kit

    Honestly we are having trouble determining the size of microwave to purchase for a 24” wide & 15” deep upper cabinet. I would also like a trim and not sure what size trim is needed for a 24” wide cabinet. Lastly, I need a black stainless steel microwave and trim. Can you please help me?

    • @HowYouCanMakeIt
      @HowYouCanMakeIt  Рік тому

      The opening for the trim kit for the microwave that I used is 17"x15 5/16 and 17" deep I would recommend 18" deep if possible.

    I wouldn't follow the spacer advice. The 3/4 spacer block is specific to his cut-out dimensions. You need to make your own measurements. If you make your cut-outs the same as the instructions, you do not need the spacer block. If your dimensions are not exactly as the manual, and not exactly as this you-tuber, you need to figure out your own spacer.

    • @HowYouCanMakeIt
      @HowYouCanMakeIt  9 місяців тому

      I always recommend double checking you dimensions. The spacer is for my plans and exact build.

    • @KungFuMojo
      @KungFuMojo 8 місяців тому

      It's just the way you phrased it... "I did some calculations, and all you're going to need is a 3/4 inch spacer..." That implies all of us, the viewers.
