- Today we are shedding tears of joy because we bring a baby home from the hospital and NICU. It’s all mixed up. Because we’re sad too because we’re leaving one baby in the hospital. This is a wonderful day and our hearts are overflowing. One twin at home and one twin still in the hospital.
I’m crying with you! This journey has been ours as well. Not nearly as hard as you going through it, but please know the prayers and emotions have led us to fall even more in love with your family. We will continue to pray.

The love for Royal was seen in the eyes of his brothers and sisters as they looked at him and held him close, their sweet faces just glowing and filled with joy to see their baby boy in person. ❤️ Blessings this week, I believe it will be filled with precious memories for each of you.

My amazing son-in-law lost his valiant fight with leukemia and left our young daughter a widow. I prayed and prayed for a miracle. So I lost my faith, that prayers were just whispers in the night oblivious to any higher power. But watching your journey, both through faith and fortitude, has given me a fresh outlook on life in general. Thank you. If you never ever respond to any comment, please know that you do more some of us than you know. And your babies are miracles. And miracles do indeed exist.
Thank you Jesus for the beautiful steps on the miracle ladder every day. She is coming home soon. Thank you Jesus for you know how to give comfort. The journey is nearer to the end and Jesus is still with you.

I came from a family of 16 children. This scene of you introducing Royal to his brothers and sisters reminded me of the excitement and happy times with my mother and father bringing another baby home. We all were so excited every time.

A long journey of struggle and hopes, trauma and miracles....finally coming to a new chapter of a beautiful story. You all are so close to a well needed rest at home together with all your babies. Its such a long anticipated time and the feelings are so palpable! Give yourself time and grace in this new transition. A lot of feelings will have place to resurface and work through. Like always you will handle it with the grace and gentleness you both have had this entire time!

Me too! Seeing Justice with his baby brother broke the dam and I started crying buckets. Its been such a long hard journey and I'm so glad the end to the hospital stay is in sight! God really has been so so good!

Monica, you’re so right, God is so good. I’m finding myself checking to see if Truly is coming. I’m feeling so happy about Royal and we know she’s coming, the medical group is just being cautious. I’m so proud of all the children and the love they have for Royal and parents.

As I watched, I was thanking sweet Jesus for letting this precious baby come home, and for helping sweet Truly become completely independent on her own without assistance of oxygen and heart monitor so that she can come home to Royal and family in a day or two!🙏 This is such a blessing to have Royal home and, hopefully, Truly can come home tomorrow or the next day!!! While Justice was holding Royal, I couldn't keep from crying. I could see his love for his baby brother in his face. It was such a touching moment to see that! Bri, I pray that very soon the twins can be breastfeeding without needing bottles!!🙏 I wish I lived close so I could cook meals for the family to help you. I'm sure your family and friends will take good care of bringing meals to you, as well as your church family. Blessings to the whole family to have their mom and twins home for good!!! You all are such a special family!🥰

The goal is to nourish your baby how it happens sometimes is secondary. You will soon have both babies at home and the trauma of the last few months will will fade and you will all move on.👍👍💖

When my twins were born 46 years ago they were six weeks early and I had a one year old and a 2 year old at home. It was in the dead of a very snowy winter and I was 3.5 hours from home. My church family and neighbors stepped up to care for my two older girls until my babies were able to come home. My husband was working, so he had to be at home, fortunately my grampa lived near the hospital and I had a place to stay, he drove me back and forth to the hospital twice a day but I was only allowed to stay for about 1.5 hours at a time, just long enough to nurse my babies on a straight back chair in the corner. They were released from the hospital a day apart and I had to have...a friend's mother whom I'd never met watch the early release baby 3 times until my second was released the next day. She is my hero to this very day, but it was still traumatic. The friend wrote a poem for me all those years ago. "Double trouble, Double fun, Double diapers, Never done. Twice the work they'll be for you, but remember the joys and blessings are Double too!!! So happy to see you start the next step of this journey. Wishing you all the best!!!
