I love the dark, moody colors and the whole antique, library, academia look. Can't wait for your next video. The prices at the first thrift store were insanely high!! Thank you for sharing 😊❤️
Everyone is making the same comment which is that prices are crazy high at thrift stores suddenly. It’s free stuff that has been donated! Not sure what they’re thinking!
So lucky to find two separate pieces of material for the curtains! It will be so nice to have the house as a single-family dwelling again, and not cut up.
Lindsey, love your vision for the library, the velvet green fabric is delicious. The green trim and wall colors are 🎉❤️🎉. The prices at Goodwills have been raised every week, we just LOL walking through the aisles. They usually raise their prices every January but not this year, every thrifting trip they go up. It is definitely not a supply chain problem, Folks are just reorganizing and cleaning out stuff. There are deals to be found, but you have to have the time to dig! Love you demo job 😂❤️👍
Ooh I can’t wait for next week ,I organized my home office it was a bit of a dumping ground ,it has some paintings stacked up which were leftovers from when we had our antique shop ,Also we had 2 bookshelves of vintage and antique books from the shop too ,I used some brown velvety curtains on the windows that I already had ,I got an old typewriter for Christmas ,I want an old phone but I found a vintage metal child’s phone for now ,I put a few pieces of my artwork on the walls ,I had a French style armchair and footstool, I stole a side table from the guest room ,I bought a French style office chair a while ago for $3 ,I recovered it from my material stash ,I made the room really Cosy ,Didn’t cost a penny ,My husband commented how lovely the room looked , I can’t wait for your next installment and your big reveal ,thanks Lynsey x
Well Sandra, we must have been separated at birth? lol sounds exactly like my type of room, in fact its what I hope to do. I think its such an amazing accomplishment and achievement when you can create something from nothing. And it often turns out better than planned. Well done I hope I can do half as well as you have. (Would love to see a pic!)♥️
I agree some of the prices seemed high to me almost regular price for antique store in high district area. That transference dish was over the top! Love your videos and good sense😏
It was fascinating to look at what you gravitated toward in the thrifting portion as opposed to your inspirations. While the inspo was very much dark academia, you seemed to gravitate more toward rustic coastal / country objects.
I love that look. My house is currently for sale and I'm looking for a cozy older home to do exactly what you're doing in the video so when I saw this come up on my feed I immediately had to take a gander at how you were creating this darker, cozy look. Thank you and much success! 🎃🍂🍁
I have been on a hunt for a globe stand that opens up like as a bar. Perfect for a dark academia style. Though I don’t drink, I still wanted to use it in my retreat / wardrobe room for my perfume bottles instead of alcohol drinks. Hopefully I’ll find in my local antique shop or at a thrift store
I enjoyed your video. I find that lately the thrift stores are using google lens and pricing as the highest price they find. I have even seen them price dollar store items at higher prices than the original price. You can still find good deals but it’s harder.
So true! Honestly it’s a little silly, when you think everything they sell is 100% free to them some of the prices are ridiculous. 🙃 but the thrill when you find the bargain 😁

Thanks, hope it all comes together as I planned!☺️📚📇
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 I'm absolutely sure it will!

They did the same thing back in the day when everyone was getting their "fashion" from places like Goodwill and Salvation Army.
They are def doing it again now bc the prices have gone nuts
Thank you Lynsey! I enjoyed your shopping and your vision for your library!
Nice collection of things.
Room is coming together. Loved all your finds. Especially the velvet fabric.

You managed to get some bargains, the light was a good find.xxx🐝🐝🐝

I’m excited to see the changes. I love a moody, green room.

😜 I guess the thrifting was the deciding factor 👍

I will have to check when I get home I thought it was done lol. I will definitely have to check this out when we get home to Canada
Those prices are insane!!
❤❤❤
I’m chuckling at you complaining about the prices in VV. 11 months on they are even more crazy.
Absolutely! I should be grateful i still find the bargains, 🤐
I’ve found the prices in Goodwill and Value Village here in Calgary have gone through the roof! It’s ridiculous!!
It doesn’t make sense when you consider everything is donated 😉

Those prices at the store were ridiculous!
The prices are so high!
where is finished room?
At the back of the house, first room off the back door.
Things are cheaper in your country than the U.S.
I think it depends where you are, a lot of the ladies I follow are based in the U.S and they certainly do find some amazing bargains. 💕
