Hey guys just wanted to confirm something, the cheaper thumbsticks are by Favor Union and they are rated for 1,000,000 cycles and 100k button presses, unlike I said 100k actuations. Also the fusion pro 3 actually has hall effects triggers unlike the potentiometer triggers on the cheaper enhanced and Spectra. I got the info whilst testing it against the gambit, I ended up opening both controllers to look inside. The comparison is very interesting and will be out soon, thanks.
@@marcinpwz125 hey fusion pro 3 has Hall effect triggers not the sticks. Triggers have been using hall sensor for a long time, all my Xbox one controllers have hall sensor triggers. I bougth the controller because of this review and it is really one of the best controller i've ever tried. You cover almost everything there is to tell about the controller one of the best reviews of a controller i've ever seen. Keep up the good work man.
Bro thank you so much for leaving this comment, you’ve made my day! There’s an update out for the controller, the process is a bit strange, had to download a specific software from PowerA to do the update. After the update there’s a different way the deadzones are being handled. When the sticks are moving the deadzone gets disabled and when they return to rest it’s enabled, according to my testing the deadzone must be smaller then 3-4%. Have to say I do like this behaviour as it won’t cause issues whilst using and when in rest no drift either.
@@6Anzy hey, if you connect the controller to pc and run the PowerA gamer HQ, the app will prompt about the update and take you to their webpage for the download. Once downloaded it’s a simple process. After running the client, u need to press both sticks in then connect the controller, it’ll start the update. Once done it’ll prompt you to do a calibration. Calibrating is easy, u need to press and hold Xbox, menu & view buttons then connect the usb, led starts flashing, and you press the triggers in 3 times and rotate the sticks 3 times. A tip if you’d like to make the trigger full press at short stop, keep the stop engaged whilst calibrating, it’ll make it so 30% pull is maximum deadzone. Just a heads up, my left trigger stoped at 28-29% so with stop engaged calibration didn’t register the trigger and it stopped working. I just had to press the left one a bit harder to make sure at least 30% registered. If you find it difficult let know I’ll make a short video. I think the update is worth it, the thumbsticks deadzone behaviour is unique.
I have the power a advantage controller with the ASTRO a10 headset. And I have no issue with in game chat or audio . But I hear a lot of people complaining about there's not being good. Maybe I got lucky with mine idk.
I've always liked the cheap power A controllers at 30 euros but they break quickly, I'm probably going to buy this one soon, I had the elite 2 core but I really didn't like the sticks I sent it back at amazon, great video bro
I know what you mean, their ergonomics and in hand feel is top notch. My series 2 has issues after very minimal use in the 6 months I’ve owned it. The fusion pro 3 though, for the last 3 weeks, haven’t skipped a beat. I’m really enjoying the controller a lot, never thought how much a difference the grip material can make. It’s looking like PowerA is trying to establish themselves in the top of third party controllers. I sure do hope this controller lasts more than the cheaper enhanced they make.
Thanks for the video. Having a blast with the gamepad, it so great to hold and lightweight. Also the back buttons are among the best I've tested so far on XBox. But regarding the sound issue: Could it be because of your headphones, the cable or maybe some damage on the 3.5mm of the pad? Another common thing, that happens on XBox is not setting up the volume for each controller. It's set up per device, resulting in a pretty low volume on every gamepad I tested on the initial connection. After tweaking the volume to the level you like, everything should be fine. I'm asking, because I know what you mean, since I've experienced this low volume issue on the Victrix Gambit when testing it. Even after putting the volume to max level. This is the only controller, I can remember which had this kinda problem, you're describing here. I'm using the Philips Fidelio X2HR/00 headphones and I've no issues at all on this gamepad. Also Dolby Atmos feels great on my headphones. Cheers.
Hey so my Victrix has really bad audio, the fusion is way better but when you compare it to the elite series 2, man there’s a difference. I have the epos H6pro open back and they are known to be a bit quieter. The only controller that can match the elite series 2 is the ROG Raikiri from ASUs, but funny thing is on PC listening to music through it, the thing sounds better than elite series 2 to me. Honestly makes me wonder if Xbox is doing something to the audio if it’s not their own controller. I was looking at the Fusion Pro 3 on amazon and there were quite a few reviews with photos of the the triggers broken in half (possibly stress from the lock mechanism?) and it seems like a very odd point of failure, but there were enough reports to make it concerning as otherwise the controller looks decent for a 4 rear button entry in the field.
Hey mine is fine but I have to say it hasn’t seen a lot of use, I’d say max 70 hours only. The triggers do feel a bit lose and one could say a bit cheap. But they are Hall effect triggers and we have a manual calibration option if anything happens to their calibration.

I’ve got a comparison with gambit coming in a few days.
So maybe they have a built in deadzone, coz I’m playing every game with 0 deadzones. The instant response curve actually made me add a .04 deadzone in COD MW2, but that’s not due to drift. Same thing with racing games, they will not work at any other trigger setting than full stop.
@@pwd1134 hey so that’s the issue with this controller, you can make it to have full register at shortest stop, but it needs a manual calibration to do so, but you’ll loose the full press, as it’ll do the 100% at 30% pull. I did do it coz I’m only playing shooting games but having to change it every time with a forced calibration is definitely a problem.
Is the back rubberied?
Does this controller have gyro? Or is it only the wireless one
?
Hey this one don’t hand the gyro, I’m not sure if the Moga has that feature as that’s the new wireless controller by PowerA
is that an app on xbox?
Is it smaller
Hey, no it’s just like the standard xbox size. PowerA do have their own spin on the design with a bit slimmer grips, I personally really like the in hand feel of their controllers.
