I'm still using a pair of Sony MDR-A34s I bought in high school. The sound isn't great compared to modern ones, but they still work perfectly, and why? Made in Japan.

I can personally say the bluetooth resistance to interference on the Powerbeats are amazing. My last bluetooth buds would go haywire at the gym, but the Powerbeats always keep a solid connection.
These points along with battery life and audio quality should be mandatory imho , this doesn't show enough for a purchasing decision

The Sony's trump every other simply due to it's ANC for me personally.
That's highly debatable. In my opinion, if we compare them to the Powerbeats, the Sony's aren't water/dust resistant, no volume buttons, can't pause music when you take one out, worse mic, only supports 1 bluetooth device, slower quick charge, no voice assistant, worse battery life (6 vs 9 hours), falls out easier, etc. Audio quality wise they're at the same level--it comes down to personal preference, so the only thing that the Sony's are better at than the Powerbeats is noise cancelling, but the difference to me isn't phenomenal that I would ignore everything it lacks just for the ANC. Just my opinion.
Cheezzjus debatable yes, but as stated it’s my personal opinion. Of course the other wireless earbuds that exist are brilliant in their own right. However, if the ANC in these are anywhere near as good as the WH-1000XM3 headphones it provides another dimension. Since purchasing the Bose QC25s 4 years ago I’ve found ANC to be a necessity, especially when travelling. As for the lack of dust and water resistance, I’m sure they’ll be fine. I’ve had my AirPods for some time now, wearing them in the gym and in saunas with no issues; I don’t believe they claim to be waterproof at all. At the end of the day it’s down to personal preference, I just love ANC so I’m kinda biased.
@@cody2470 I like to use Airpods when working, PBP for workoutds, Sennheiser when I'm chilling at home, and Bose QC35 for commutes. Best of all worlds imo.

Cheezzjus glad to see you aren’t tied down to one brand. ANC and non-ANC headphones/earbuds have their own place in life. I definitely don’t like being completely isolated in certain situations so earbuds like AirPods or other non-ANC earbuds would be great.
This review didnt make it any clearer. Love big base, but dont want to hear outside noise. How easy do the sonys really fall out your ear? How often does the pro drop out of bluetooth on an android?

I made an impulse buy at the airport for the Sony's at £190. My friend with me said the QC25's were no longer cool enough.
the ANC on the plane was not as good as the QC25's but did a very good job and i am very happy with my purchase

I've tried both. Returned the t5 not even close.
Having touch control on earbuds is not necessarily a bad thing. It prevents the buds from falling or getting your ears tired from constantly pushing the botton to change tracks etc. The only thing I dont like it the lack of volume control on the sony buds. But I guess I can always ask my google assistant to lower or put up the volume. I cant wait to get my hands and those sony 1000XM3 as an audio file myself I cant wait to try them.

How secure is the fit in the Sony as a had a pair of mx100x1s and they kept calling out, even with comply foam tips. Are the mx100x3s better? Do they grip the ear?

Saying the WH-1000XM3 suck at taking calls is a gross understatement. They should be embarrassed by how poor it is. I love mine for what they are, and thankfully never really need to take calls with them, but I can't consider any of their other products like this until I know they got the mic quality massively improved.

iPhonedo did the call quality test on powerbeats pro, I think it's pretty good.. Probably because it's using Bluetooth 5.0

@@gabrijeldolo I'm an android user and airpods doesn't fit my ear well. Currently im using Jabra Elite 65T, the phone quality is I would say better than samsung galaxy earbuds. I just dont like that I can hear the ambient sound during a phone call and the person whom I'm talking with hears it as well.
This issue was solve by Bose on their new NC 700's as per a review that I recently watched, but I dont want to use headphones on a daily basis.
Im stumped. I'm an iPhone user and I don't really see the need for ANC as I have never found the use for it personally. My main use will be at home, on the computer or phone with the option of going outside but in less noisy areas still.
Battery Life in comparable then. Sound is personal preference and Im happy with either here. One thing no one really covers is build quality and longevity and this is what Im after, if anyone has either or both and can tell me how they hold up it would be great.
Personally leaning towards Beats purely because of the H1 Chip and Apple and all that but haven't tossed Sony aside yet, as they give me greater options with ANC, the App and no Ear Hooks so less overall contact to the ear which can be both good and bad but the eartip options give me hope these will stick.
Nice work Parker! Curious about any latency when watching vids. I do a lot of that when traveling. Also, how's the call quality, especially in windy conditions? Finally someone doing a good comparison. As much as I love Sony for making good quality speakers and headphones I think I would prefer the form factor of the beats
If I could I'd buy them both. BEATS for the gym and SONY for the office.
I find beats pro uncomfortable, the bug feels always outside of the canal that's why the volume always feels so quiet... Besides, sometimes the connection studders.... I think I have to return it.. even the connection is fast
Hi Parker, does the blue light on the WF-1000XM3 blink constantly when connected? My WH-1000X does and it's been pretty annoying when used at night or in a dark room.
Bryan Corbin I also find the blinking LEDs annoying and ridiculous. Get a pair of Mavin Air-X. The LEDs only blink when music isn’t playing and they are the best sounding wireless buds out ATM. They have volume controls, passive noise canceling and truly the best sound. They are the first BT headphone that sounds like a decent pair or wired.

How do they compare to the Bose QC30s, specifically the ANC, even though Bose aren't fully wireless, they are one of the best for ANC earbuds.
They're not as great as the Bose but they still get the job done

Can’t wait to try these SONY’s in the gym. I use the WF- SP700N and sweat and there’s never been a problem. The gym is really noisy. Can’t wait for true ANC!
they are not made for gym mate and dont have hooks...
I'm liking the Sony XM3 so far. I thought the lack of volume control might be a problem, but I also use an Apple Watch, so I use that for controlling volume and track skipping. I tried them on a short 2-hour flight last week and they worked really well provided the air vent above your head is turned off, otherwise, you get wind noise when then ANC is turned on. The longest I have had them in my ears for is 3 hours and whilst generally comfortable, they made my ears a little sore when I took them out. I love the sound of these too, nice base and bright highs if you tweak the EQ to your liking.
The case is about double the length of the airpods and about 1.5x thicker. While it is bigger, it fits in my jeans pocket perfectly.

Do this support true multipoint? How many devices can you pair them with and how many devices can you connect them with? Can you connect to two devices simultaneously and play music from one device A, stop music in A then, start music play on second device B and hear it without manually disconnecting from device A? And can you do this with more than 2 devices?

There is no lossless bluetooth with these earbuds. You need the big Sonys for those. No Apt-x or anything like that in the little earbuds.

I have a Sony WH-1000XM3 over the ear headphones and I love them. But when I was in the market for wireless earbuds, I went with the Beats Powerbeats Pro because the WF-1000XM3 noise cancelling wasn’t very impressive. And all the other features of the Beats just made more sense to me. As an iPhone and iPad user, the ease of pairing and switching devices was on top of the list. As well as the physical buttons. Most of all, I was thoroughly impressed with the Powerbeats Pro sound quality. The bass detail is amazing without sounding bloated. The only downside is that it lets in more noise than I’m used to. But the Sony, with noise cancelling isn’t much better imho.
For me the biggest issue with the Sony earbuds is the fact they’re not waterproofed at all. I got a little sweat on them from a walk when it was hot while listening to music. They instantly started having problems after where they would begin screeching loud noises into my ears full volume in the middle of a song and pause my songs everytime I unpaused them. I feel like for how expensive they are it should be a feature they should have
I want both but the Beats in the navy blue. The Sony will be out before the other colors of Beats are released.

1:20 those are called comply ear tips and not “some foamy” ear tips. They’re basically really premium ear tips that come with some expensive headphones and make the experience a lot more comfortable.
Over-ear is a term for headphones that are larger and cover the ears vs on-ear rests on the ear. Over-ears have a better seal so you shouldn’t use the same already used term to describe something different in the same category as earphone/headphones. You could say hook over the ear or more accurately say hook above the ear, rest on top of the ear. But you can’t say on-eat. It would help if the people doing reviews knew more about the subject the reviewed, I’d/we would find the content coming out of your mouth useful.

I use glasses and once they are on, they don’t bother you at all. That said, it takes a while to put on if you wear glasses
@@sdchew I disagree I find them super uncomfortable while I wear my normal Ray-Ban glasses. So I only use them with running I wish I bought the sennheisers instead.

using the Powerbeats pro at work, and for sure don’t hear colleagues talking or any other ambient noise while music on. Good for my iOS device world, only downside is disconnection, not frequent, but often enough to cause irritation..

Idk about other people but when I put on a set of earbuds I expect them to feel lighter than headphones but still be able to pack a good punch and that for me generally means strong bass from a small form factor personally I think flat sounding earbuds are not enjoyable because you will always think about reaching for a pair of headphones instead. I don't care about how convenient they are from headphones if I did then I would get airpods and an iPhone. I would like to point out I am not a total bass head I own and love a pair of HD 558 cs which have very natural flat bass but a crazy sound stage which blew me away. So basically I enjoy the power beats pro would recommend the bass isn't like the power beats 3 its tighter and cleaner with the mids and highs feeling less drowned out. Also, the sony eq thing is bull crap and we all know it eq is fine for small adjustment but it can't flip the sound signature of the earbuds (I have used the app with the headphones wh-100mx).

I am thinking about buying them but i am not sure because the bass is very importent for me. It has to be punchy and powerful. But what makes me to think that deeply about it is that the sony are except of the bass I think one of the best ear buds right now. Hello, I technically have both (I just bought the Powerbeats Pro for my father) so I think I'm somewhat qualified to give my opinion on the matter. Personally, I really prefer the sound signature on the Sony's. It's very clear and rich. Out of the box, the bass itself wasn't great but with the Sony Headphones app, you can adjust the bass. The best part about it is that there's no sound distortion whatsoever. The bass (after adjusting it in the app) was very good. On the other hand, out of the box, the Beats had great bass but I wasn't really too fond of the sound signature. I personally thought that it was lacking in the instrument separation department. Overall, you really can't go wrong with both (in terms of bass) but I personally prefer the Sony's due to their sound and the active noise cancelation (and also due to the added bonus of it being slightly cheaper)
@@osclopez122 okay thanks it helped me a lot to pick my choice. I think i´ll take the Sony because of the overall clarity and good sound itself and because like you´ve said I can add the bass in the app. Of course the bass won´t be as good as we can hear with the beats but at this point of quality aren´t that much differences in the bass. We are talking about the one of the best in ear headphones on the market and I think that I wouldn´t even notice that big of a differenz in bass.

Coitus_Sooizz s just remember to take the Sony’s off right away if it’s start raining 😉 look at Flossy Carters review, he lost one bud with 75% head shaking before one dropped out! Not funny losing them on a airplane.
@@larsstenseth2351 I know that´s a bad side about them. But the Sennheiser have a bad side which is upseting as well. And that´s the box of them which is losing battery life after some time even if you aren´t using them. Also the battery of both buds can lose differently their life time and you can only use them for 4 hours. So I think it´s subjective and if somebody says he doesn´t care about all the bad sides of the Sennheiser then he will buy the Sennheiser for sure
