They've changed so much over the years. But through all their changes, they've stayed just so awesome. I remember before he sounded like Johnny Cash and then he changed and I was confused. But then it was amazing. They're such a great band. If you haven't yet, check out their entire discography to see the evolution.
The change was apparently because according to a vocal coach the way he was singing before was unnatural for his voice and would've caused long-term damage if he continued to tour like that.
Were they? I honestly only ever saw the music video for "Until Morale Improves ..." From there I actively sought out their discography and fell in love.
I have seen this band like 30+ times since I graduated high school in 2005, they are such an incredible live act. Every performance is memorable and genuine, just incredible musicians all around.
I wish they were more popular. I love murder by death. They are by far one of my favorite bands. Lost River was the first song I ever heard from them and within a few seconds I fell in love with it and the band.
Been listening to them since they were called Little Joe Gould. Cant wait to see them again in July. Their concerts are awesome. Seriously underrated band
I've been a long time fan of this band and have met Adam at Ogden Theater in Denver. He was a really cool guy and talked to me for awhile before the show. This band is really special.
Been listening to MBD since about 2007 after finding them on MySpace. Great band, and it's been fun watching them grow. I've seen them in Colorado 3 times and New Mexico once. Keep it up, MBD!
So...how many wound up here because the MOVIE "Murder By Death" Google thread brought you here? Not complaining really I just discovered a really good band of which I know NOTHING about. I Like lead singer's voice a lot, well, the whole band is good. Glad I followed the thread...I guess it's true about "for everything there is a reason".
idk why but radio hosts always seem like the most inconfident timid clueless people on the planet lol all good tho. murder by death is by far one of the best bands out there i don't understand why they aren't way more popular and played all the time but alas
What's with the host? Instead of telling them they can play the next song maybe it would sound more genuine and enthusiastic to say something like "i'd love to hear the next song" LOL Pretty cool band though, the first song I heard from them through my discover weekly on Spotify resonated well with my current state of musical interest.
Jennifer Tineo there's actually an electric cello inside of the acoustic best up one on the outside. The former keyboard player Vincent is now a wood worker and turduckened her cello. I'm sure years of road gigs did he acoustic in.
I feel as though they would be better suited for country or rock. I like they do their own thing but a little to pop music for me. I want to like these guys for sure
Personal opinion I suppose. I find some of their music a blend of genres. For some reason I feel it to have a pop music sound or vibe. Not sure exactly what makes them sound pop musicesque
0:34 Strange Eyes
4:21 Big Dark Love
9:54 The Curse of Elkhart
15:22 Natural Pearl
20:35 Lost River
At least I deserve one like, love this guys
these guys really should be more popular. The combination of his voice with that cello is just gold

I never knew that! Cool, thanks for sharing.
they were pretty popular back in the day mid 2000's IDK what happen after that.

Most underrated band in history seriously why are you guys not so popular?
They don't have a mainstream sound or even one remotely near it. Also popularity means nothing
Because if they were "popular" the sound would drastically change. Where the fuck you been the last 40 years of the music industry boy
@@Psychedelicbodega exactly. Look what happened to Portugal. The Man.
@@pichaelthompson4022 that band needs a send off like skynyrd needs another flight over the state of alabama. Sooner the better too.

My husband started listening in college at IU. He brought me in, i love them
Just saw these guys for the first time last night at Delmar Hall and was really impressed.
One if the greatest bands ever. Saw them in Seattle in 2011 and I couldn't believe how amazing it was
Been listening to MBD since about 2007 after finding them on MySpace. Great band, and it's been fun watching them grow. I've seen them in Colorado 3 times and New Mexico once. Keep it up, MBD!
I can't believe that I only recently discovered this fantastic band!
Great session.
Same!! I’m going to see them tomorrow.
one of my favorite bands ever. His voice is amazing.
Saw them in 2004 opening for Braid (on their at-the-time reunion tour) alongside Minus the Bear as well. Hell of a show.
I saw that show too! In Toronto :)
I've seen MTB 4 or so times. That show though, wish I'd have been there
Probably the best set Audiotree has had.
I found these guys because of Destiny and I've loved them ever since that fateful game trailer
My hunter brotha🔫✊
Rest in Peace, Cayde.
My all time favorite band!
I love watching this band live. I've lost track of how many times I've seen them . . . eight, maybe?

Must be cool to be Rose's favorite band.

GOD DAMN 30 MINUTES OF GOOSE BUMPS FUCK SHIT
Did Adam give the presenter ether???
writing the playlist and times would have been a good idea no??? maybe im just too obvious?
You fuckers... You haunt me.
OMG that cello is destroyed. what happened? 😱
Jennifer Tineo there's actually an electric cello inside of the acoustic best up one on the outside. The former keyboard player Vincent is now a wood worker and turduckened her cello. I'm sure years of road gigs did he acoustic in.
It happened when they got it back from a flight. It must have been from a worker. They got it and noticed it was messed up.
Fantastic band, but do they call themselves "baroque"? What makes them baroque...beyond the cello...?
I feel as though they would be better suited for country or rock. I like they do their own thing but a little to pop music for me. I want to like these guys for sure
Pop!?!?!i think you need to listen to some pop music....this is most certainly not that!
Personal opinion I suppose. I find some of their music a blend of genres. For some reason I feel it to have a pop music sound or vibe. Not sure exactly what makes them sound pop musicesque
Definitely not pop despite you feeling on it
@@louiscampbell5306 it’s indie folk and rock wtf pop not even close these like anti pop
Great set, truly awful presenter.
be nice for crying out loud
yea pretty disrespectful.
@@seaperu1 fuck off shes awful, came here to listen to murder by death not some fat bitch
@@sleepyreapy1222 wow chill dude what’s your problem
Lost River - Very beautiful version of piano intro . I've tried to repeat it successfully afterwards :)
I love Mumford and Sons.. but they are better
Not even close
music is great. that mustache is terrible.
That mustache is badass
I feel like the host just wants them to leave. She's so awkward and clearly doesn't care about the band.
