First thought as well. I drove my 1.5 TSI Octavia under 3000 rpm till the firts 1000km, and under 4000 rpm before the first 3000km. Now I have 3800 and I just now making higher RPM accelerations.
Won't do it any harm, you do more damage driving too gently: Bores glaze up and you get excessive oil consumption later in their lives.

I will say this: every, absolutely every car between the tow truck"lorry" and the stock parking lot sees only a red line. Every. I always told all my friends, to whom I sold cars, what all the mechanics said among themselves at the service stations. Immediately after purchase, the oil should be changed (you have no idea how many filings there are), you should change it for the second time up to a maximum of 5,000 km. Later, changes were made at a maximum rate of 15 kkm, except for powerful supercharged gasoline engines (10 kkm there). And for the mileage of 3kkm, do not exceed 3500 rev for gasoline and 3k for diesel. None of my friends who listened to me have ever complained about oil consumption or fuel consumption. It's different for those who didn't care. The differences in fuel consumption between the two types od buyers reached up to 1-2 liters per 100 km. And practically everyone had an oil consumption. But 🤗why leave the engine to run gently till 3kkm if you can torture it on red line today?

During the first test drive this engine did on me good impression. But... after some longer driving with more passengers on board it was easy to feel that this engine is a bit too small for this car. THerefore I decided to take 2.0 tdi 4x4. Not the fastest car on the road, but dynamic enought
@@lolicek70 well, depends what you need. If you do mostly longer trips and you need some stronger engine but also pay attention to economy and consumption... than yes. Diesel wins with petrol engines and all the hybrid/plug-in hybrid etc...
i had on the test drive the 2.0 tdi 190 hp, 4x4. my feeling it s the 2.0 tdi, 150 hp, it s faster.
@@valentindenischi6666 this 2.0 tdi 150 was DSG or manual transmission? This new 7g-DSG are very slow. It's because of the software. I have the feeling everytime I press the acceleration the DSG is giving me at least 1 sec to reconsider if I want to accelerate or not :)
@@GamesRaider Normally a functional high pressure egr system on a diesel car driven outside the city does not deposit as consistently but it still deposits because it pulls unfiltered gases from the exhaust manifold and puts them into the intake
A low-pressure egr system is much cleaner because it takes the gases after the catalyst and the particle filter and reintroduces them at the entrance to the cold part of the turbo, but the trouble there is that those gases have an acidity that turns into a condensate that attacks the intercooler in time as well as the egr cooler.
The egr system is necessary to be able to keep down the level of nitrogen oxide emissions, the big problem with diesel.
Normal car for normal people doing normal daily commuting
Adequate for real world driving in the UK. I can get 50mpg on my drive to work if I avoid caning it to gain a few car lengths, and there isn't too much queueing involved. Old man's engine in an old man's car. I'll take that, thanks.
Get sportline 280hp 🤠
Sportline looks cool outside. But those seats inside are a bit boring. Kodiaq sportline has a way better designed seats
I like how europeans even mention the hp numbers, like 2.0 TDI 150, 2.0 TSI 190 etc. I'm also curious why they did it at the first place

I would recommend a 0.5 single cylinder turbo engine for the new touareg and Audi Q7. Cars shouldn't be fast.. a topspeed of 60 mp/h is enough :)
When Honda Civic VIII had 140 hp everyone said WOW .. now Superb has 150 hp and the same acceleration everobody says tragic ..
think because people know that a Honda will perform for the next 20 years and the skoda up to 75,000km and then that's it

@@Mund333M Nope .. My civic VIII 1.8 had 8,9sec 0-100 ...my Superb III 1.4 has 8.5 0-100 . My civic had 13 years and lots of problems ... my Superb now has 2 years and no problem ... I know man who has Superb with 150.000 km and still driving without problems ..

I drive 2.0 tdi 150 hp and is the same likr 1.5 gasoline , so 2.0 is with 120 kg more heavy , and accelerarion pn 1.5 is more faster

0-100km/h it s slow comparing to 2.0tdi 150hp, 0-200km/h it s much slower. Both have the same power, but the 2.0tdi 150hp, it s faster.
You mean in real driving or based on technical data? Anyway, diesel should give impression of being more dynamic because of higher torq.

@@GamesRaider its not impression, diesel is better for moving mass, even when they have similar acceleration solo put 5 persons inside and some bags, diesel wont be much slower but 1.5 it drops from9s to 15

It's more reliable than TDI
@@dragospahontu I agree. TDI and 2.0FSI have seen more problems about the engine lifetime. Most of the time you drive around alone anyway. For the few events in the year where you need more power you can still get out with the 1.5. The same applies to this panoramic roof. I would never buy a vehicle with it. A friend drove a Skoda Superb 2.0tdi 4x4 with this roof as a company vehicle. After 4 years, all seals were decomposed from the outside and defective. He also had an engine damage at 120,000 km and a lot of problems with the engine in this time. The car only got the highway full speed. Full packed with tools for his job. He will no one recomended a TDI for private usage.
@@ChamaeleonMustermann exactly, 1.5TSI is a good base engine for normal people. Maybe if you want a better compromise 2.0TSI 190hp is ok.

well modern cars are much more geared for fuel economy past 3rd gear also new cars are much heavier and this is a sedan while the mazda 3 is a hatch.
But yeah, mazda 3 2.0 is absolutely faster, but I'd get the 1.6 diesel mazda 3, economic and cheap, and all you need is 90-110 and 120 to 140 acceleration anyway.
If you want a fast toy, then I'd say get a mazdaspeed, seat cupra, golf gti, an old bmw, an accord or civic, a z350, etc, etc.
