Frank is recovering well 🙏🏼 I appreciate all the love and kindness during this time. It’s been a rough past month but I have faith things will smooth out moving forward.
I had an entirely different video planned for today, another topic video which I had scripted up a plan for, but before I could film it all of this unfolded so instead this video exists. Winter can be extra yet it's like it was meant to be to get the cancellation slots. For brief distraction...over here it smells like 💩 above and beyond ordinary and everyone is saying it's the wind because it's going to ❄️ Home on the range 😅 No rain. Hose disconnected. First of all, I would like to say how impressed I am over your ability to articulate the situation you and Frank just went through. In listening to your explanation of his condition, why, when and how you made the choices you did was amazing! The fact that Frank is in such excellent health at his age speaks volumes to your care of him. The love you have for him is evident in all you do for him from giving him his favorite donuts to wisely preparing for what may be needed for his care. If anyone has a criticism of you and your choices, they can simply stop watching your channel. No one who is not there with you or who is privy to the day-to-day choices you have to make has a say in anything you post. Frank is YOUR baby and no one has that right to criticize. It amazes me that people seem to believe, because you have allowed them into your life via UA-cam, that they have an influence over your decisions. Secondly (and I’m almost done, I promise!), I admire the grace and strength with which you handle the naysayers. I wouldn’t be so kind. I respect and appreciate the honesty that you give us with your videos regarding the real-life you experience in your van life. Life is life and UA-camrs that present their adventures as all roses and honey aren’t of any real value to the rest of us armchair observers. So hats off to you Amanda!! So glad he doesn’t have cancer. He is certainly a special guy. And his poor naked bum! I keep commenting before it’s over and so I keep editing. Just so glad he pooped and is on the mend. We all get to make our own educated decisions for ourselves and our pets and we get to stand by them. I’m super happy Frank has a great surgeon

Elderly animals are exactly like we are when we get old. They can’t tell us what is happening, but we can read them and do our best to help them out. Frank is in good care with you, he trust your decision as you do. Surgery was probably the best way to try get better this leg. As dog mommy to my sweet pal Chester, my heart goes out to you. I would have done the same no question. You and Frank always have our full support. I love your channel so very much, been here a long time and always here for you both. Your channel is so special and I feel sure it will take off. Many prayers and blessings from us. I love Frankie so so so much :) Frank loves you so much and he has a lot of life- a great life full of adventures ahead :)
I went through a similar situation with a cat years ago. No surgery but he ended up going to 3 different animal hospitals including one in another state. Lost a lot of sleep, shed a lot of tears, spent a lot of money, but it was worth it in the end. He had a few good years after that. Without surgery I ended up spending over $5K and that was 20 years ago. Good healthcare is expensive. Whether the patient is human or an animal it takes a lot of staff, equipment, facilities, etc to provide good healthcare. Pet insurance wasn't that common back then so out of pocket was the only option.
I'm looking forward to seeing Frank get back on his feet and having a good swim when the weather warms up.

My mom is in the hospital on a ventilator right now and your youtube community has been so nice to me... My mom did open her eyes, but her brain isn't functioning normally. For what it's worth, my little dog is twelve and though I worked and gave him the best life I could, eventually he got cancer and I was between jobs, so I put it on my credit card. My van life fell apart when my van broke down irreparably and money went into a car which I sleep in. After surgery he had heart issues so on pills and I think we can never fully plan for all the ups and downs but he and though I"m broke and in debt, he is my heart and responsibilty. More than all that, he loves life too much for me to take it from him. All the best ❤

As you were sharing your story I was envisioning Frank this coming spring running around full of energy like a new puppy. Take care of you while Frank is recovering. I went though some stressful trying months last year with my husbands health. We were in and out of the hospital and specialist offices due to infections in his legs from diabetes so I know how stressful this is right now for you. Sending hugs and prayers to you and Frank. ❤
