  • The Hitec HSB-9370TH Servo was made for the Yeti! Brushless (powered by Neu), digital, high voltage, titanium geared, 25t spline are just some of the cool features! At 7.4volts, this servo cranks at 347 oz/in of torque at a .10 sec transit time! Exactly what a hopped up Axial Yeti needs to turn some heavy-ish Vanquish Aluminum wheels.

    Product Description
    With ultra-efficient Neu brushless motors, titanium gear trains, low current consumption and constant output power, the HSB-93XX series of servos is the perfect match for the most discriminating pilots and racers.
    Features
    Programmable 12 Bit Digital Circuit
    Using the DPC-10 PC interface (PN 44426) and downloadable software, users can program a variety of features in the HSB-9XXX Series including: Fail Safe On/Off and Position, direction, EPA, Speed (Slower), dead Band, and Soft Start.
    Power Efficient Brushless Motor Controller
    Energy efficiency is a common interest for all modelers. Our HSB-9XXX Series uses the latest control circuit technology including a regenerative braking circuit which puts power back into the battery as the motor slows. This feature, combined with ultralow current draw under sustained loads, allows our brushless servos to consume 1/5 the power of most other brushless servos on the market today.
    NOTICE: Please read this service bulletin regarding Hitec brushless servos with certain RC devices.

    Hi Rich,
    That Hitec was my go to servo for my crawlers and rock racers until I found one that smokes it in everyway. Last year I was surfing the online hobby sites when I saw on Amain.com their Protek 170S servo. I looked at the stats and about had a heart attack, at 7.4 volts (which is what I use) the Protek 170S has 549oz of torque @ 0.07 secs I had to give it a try. I used it for the rest of the season last year and it was nothing short of Awesomeness! I never had any fade and it is absolutely as smooth as butter. Now as I need to replace servos on my rigs I am replacing them strickly with the Protek 170S. They do have a stronger servo 170T which boosts 600oz torque at 7.4 volt but it is a bit slow for me in my race rigs @ 0.11 but I will be getting one of those for my monster truck basher once fry the one that is in it now.
    I recommend that you try one of those 170S's when you get a chance they are Awesome to say the least.
    Thanks for sharing the vid...I do enjoy your work and if you decide that yeti isn't for your style, I would be more than happy to give it a home!...lol ;-) Merry Christmas to you and yours.

      Thanks for watching Craig! Always happy to see you in the comments sections! I have not tried any Protek items (yet!) but have heard great things on some of their products. So far the 9370 has proven to be a really great quality servo though....

    Looks really nice Rich. I am probably the biggest fanboy when it comes to Hitec Servos. Extremely reliable and mine even withstood a massive fire and is running 2-years later just like new

    I have been impressed with the turnigy trackstar brushless servos. The have on with over 500oz-in. It's a beast. I snapped a axle end in my scx10 with it.

    I ran a hitec on 7.4v for a while and the power and speed was insane! However the waterproof claims were its demise. It stopped turning one direction, disassembled it and sure enough it had water in it even though it had seals and was claimed to be waterproof. Not hating on hitec but be careful with water! Trying a hv savox in my rig now.

      @TheRCNetwork  9 років тому

      RcFrenzy I don't believe the 9370 is posted as a waterproof servo. Please keep in mind there are "water resistant" and "water proof" with the later being obviously better in submerged conditions

    That is an inexpensive servo for the specs it's putting out. Nice find...

  • @CH-RC
    @CH-RC 9 років тому +2

    Dude, just to correct you - the PAD device is simply to prevent putting current back into your system. You only need to use the PAD device, if you're using a power safe receiver, or a BEC within your setup as these items can't absorb any input current. The servo can use the power generated from slowing the servo to put back into your battery loop - using the PAD stops this.

    hi rich,building my 1st rc kit,gone with the yeti after watching your videos,iv ordered this same servo but my hobby store who ordered it for me says it isn't water resistant but you say it is,just wondering if you no something they don't,they did seem like they couldn't be bothered to answer my questions which was worrying,especially when ther isn't any decent places hear in the UK for upgrade parts and ther my local within an hours drive,keep up the goodwork

      +Lee Elliott Sorry about that, I'm not sure that I said it was waterproof.....but I know that it is NOT waterproof. Most servos are water resistant/splash resistant. If you want a Waterproof Servo, take a look at these from Hitec: hitecrcd.com/products/servos/d-series-32-bit-programmable-servos/d-840wp-32-bit-multi-purpose-waterproof-steel-gear-servo/product

    Hello dear,
    I have an Axial Yeti RTR 1/10. Recently I’m hearing an electrical leakage and spark sound while steering to right. I guess so my servo is out of order.
    Which servo should I buy for the stock version? I’ll be really so appreciated if you may help me.
    Thanks 🙏🏻 😊

      Check out some of the AGFRC servos - great products for a good price. I'd suggest the A81 series. Lot's of torque and decently fast

  • @mylesdavis9440

    What is your plan to eliminate the bad torque twist these things suffer from. That's the only thing holding me back from buying one. Just interested to here your take on it.

      I'll have to see it for my self and see what it will need. I know the sway bar helps in the rear and it does have a couple of adjustments that can help.......I've yet to run the Yeti, so time will tell!

      Zainul Abedin Ghaffar Yeah, I've really lost respect for Savox (although, like you said, the price is good). The Hitec Servos are really nice, quiet and don't need BEC's to operate

    Hi, I put a 20 kilogram digital servo in my rgt crawler and it does not work, it just trembles and moves without control. I do not know what's happening, you have some idea that it might be happening.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  6 років тому

      Most likely, your ESC/Radio system can't handle the power of the servo, and it's glitching or browning out. Pick up a Voltage Capacitor - it plugs directly into any open port on your Receiver and it should take care of the issue. Here's a link:www.amazon.com/Racers-Edge-Glitch-Buster-Capacitor/dp/B0077R5I4M

      The RCNetwork hello good night, thank you for your help, put the voltage capacitor as you suggested, it's okay about 3 minutes then the car gives me a fault, it stops and the control does not answer anything, even the car is going backwards alone, I have that turn it off so that it will be fine again, I do not know what happens, it's probably the servo because by placing the original 6 kilogram servo, everything works fine. Do you have any idea what's going on? I'm doing these tests in my house, do you think I should go out in the open so I do not have interference? Will you know of a low consumption servo or maybe the failure is due to my battery? I am using 7.2 vol 1500mha and I have also used batteries of 7.4 vol lipo of 1500mha

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  9 років тому +1

      Alex Fishman I have always wanted to try out an "Ultra Premium" servo. There's many features on this servo that warrants it exclusivity on price. A branded "Neu" brushless motor, High voltage circuitry, titanium gears, included "PAD" device, etc. Also, how boring would magazines and videos be if they only showed Kia's? Just showing off a "Ferrari" of the Servo world!

    Hot Racing = Hot Trash

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  8 років тому

      +brandon That's not true. Maybe a couple of years ago, but recently, especially after doing my last two Yeti's, the quality of materials has improved along with the tolerances. HR went through a huge renovation to improve their standing in the RC community and it shows in the products. Now, it isn't going to be the competition to Vanquish, but it's a happy median from the garbage that comes from some of those sites out there

    • @brando555555
      @brando555555 8 років тому

      That's good to know. Maybe I'll give them another chance.
      I always did like their sealed diff, but I had given up on HR after I bought several of their other option parts a couple years back, mainly Rustler and Slash stuff. A lot of parts had fitment issues or were made from poor quality aluminum.
      But if they stepped up their game, that's cool. I'll have to check and see what they currently have to offer.
