What it’s all about head down and embrace the suck… however I’m only good at suffering when I have a carrot to chase, like in a race/chain gang 🥴 solo efforts and training sessions I just can’t get the same intensity but something to work on I think it’s a mental thing 🤔
Was an epic night and gutted I’m missing this week but back next week for another smash fest 💪 and haha I had no idea what numbers I was doing at the time I just knew it was hurting a lot 😂
Yep enjoyed that. I'm a mtb rider and occasional xc racer through and through but these roadie vids are an interesting insight👍. Btw I've seen Oli at the mtb brass Monkey's races on winter and his legs are huge!
I always thought I was strictly offroad before this year but have just fallen in love with road cycling although I have the torq12 coming up but not sure I will be much use to my team 😂 and he certainly has… he’s an absolute beast on the mountain bike drops me in seconds on the downhills 😅
nice one GC...remind me never to go to a chain gang session! you guys are strong for sure, hopefully it all pays off for the road racing now - well done, good video, strong riding mate
Love your videos Giorgio, keep it up. They are very inspiring, I've just started taking road cycling seriously too, and I'm trying to get competitive this summer. Out of curiosity, what's your bike setup for these events and do you carry any spare equipment, i.e. wheels, tires and cranks? And would you say that at a glance, the majority of racers use carbon setups? I only ask as I plan to use an old Specialised Allez, which is all aluminium when competing
Thanks Melvin 😃 there is definitely a mix of bikes but if I have to be totally honest when looking round most riders are on carbon bikes but that means absolutely nothing, it’s the rider not the bike and I can only recommend getting stuck in… you will love it! When racing I have no spares I just take my bike I’m on and accept that if something goes wrong it’s race over and on to the next one… you can have spares etc but in most races if you had a mechanical it would be extremely hard to get back on the group solo so in my opinion not worth it 🤷♂️
Reminds me of fun it can be! Well done and strong work!!!
It’s fun when it’s done and the pain is over 🥴😂
"Super G" on the gas for sure... Nice.
This video certainly brings back some painful memories 😅
I f'd up being on your wheel. Who knew those tiny kickers could sting that much ☠️☠️
😂 yeah they get bloody spicy… don’t look like much but at full speed they are killer 😅
😂 you certainly did Tommy G, I was dying a bit inside every time I saw you pretty much sprint to cling on to G's wheel 😂
@@dmattingley im almost double his weight🤣 full beans just to stick to his wheel.
Absolutely flying!
Would love to see you tackle a chain gang! The numbers you put out you could put some serious hurt on 😅
Huge power numbers!! Awesome!
😅 took a few days to recover from this one… it hurt a lot 😂
You are the best, absolute beast !
Thanks appreciate it 👌
Love the way you embrace the pain ….. my sort of riding … great evening workout that’s for sure .. well done 👏

Need speed.. kph mph
Will add it in next time 👌 during the chain gang we averaged 24mph
@@GiorgioCoppolaCycling that’s slower then I thought you’d be doing 😂 that much pain deserves 30 mph
