I have S4's and S6's. I think the S4's are way better. My S6's always go out before the 4's. The S6's are brighter but you can see little difference when they are side by side. I definitely recommend the 4's over the 6's cause of the battery life.
Travis, based on install of the light shield (the raised edge on the top of the light) it looks like the blinking light would be facing towards the wall. That shield is to deflect light going horizontal from people’s eyes so it is more directional (upwards). If you put the lights down with the blinking light facing in, you’ll solve two problems. That white warning images can always be scraped or flat black painted over if you don’t like the look.
They are crap. They don’t hold the charge for more than 3 hours. I bought the bigger ones with the charging case. Some of them after a year don’t even charge to 100%
You should be good with her. Just make sure she sends you the right lights. You want the S4's, not the S6's. They both are very good, but S6 is "brighter" so it drains the battery faster. It is brighter, but you can barely tell.
Lyric sent me the S6's when I put in an order for an additional four S4 lights. I didn't even notice until months later when the lights started going out before the S4's on certain colors. By then they wouldn't let me return them.
You’ll need to make a generic 10 or 12 channel fixture within airstream. You can manual label each channel function too. That way it’ll make a fixture for you and you’ll just have to put the lights on that channel
Nice video. What if I wanted to use these lights as a flood light on the dance floor? Would they work for this job? Here's an advance question. Lets assume the fixtures are placed high on a tripod. How could I get x and y movement while putting them up there (I want to be able to fill the whole dance floor with lighting). I am trying to figure out how I can easily put them up on a tripod AND be able to recharge them after the show....
I would say you'd want a wash light fixture. These uplights beam angle is pretty narrow for a dance floor. To get x y movement you'd need a mechanical arm or something. why not just get a moving head wash fixture?
@@DjTravisNey Thank you for the follow up. Esp with the flood light comparison. And I am not looking for x and y movement during the show - so don't want moving heads. But I want to be able to place the lights before the show to get the flood lights all over the dance floor.
Is there a way to turn the brightness down some to preserve a little battery. I have some S4's and some S6's. The 6's always go out faster. I figured if I dim the S6's some they will keep up.
There is a dimmer setting. However if you are using multiple colors at the same time it kills the battery faster. I keep the lights off until guests get into the room and it lasts the whole wedding for me
@DjTravisNey do you have any of the S6's? Never had issues until I got them. The 4's are great. The bad thing is Both sent me four S6's when I ordered four more S4's. I didn't even notice until months later when they started going out on certain colors.
@DjTravisNey could you tell me where the dimmer setting is? It would be greatly appreciated. They said since the S6 is brighter that's the reason why they go out quicker. I figure I could set them at 80% and that may even things out.

Nice. I have 20 of S6. They are hella bright. Turned around the top just like you stated as well. That price can’t be beat.

He reversed the top so that it looks like that..
You can use a screw driver to flip the top part around so the blinking light and LED panel faces the wall

Did you guys use Lyric Chen from both lighting to purchase? Ship from China? I am just skeptical to purchase through her

how much you got them all 20 uplights with the cases?
Hi! Do you have a video on how to connect these to your Airstream Bridge device/app? No luck. Thanks for the review!

Real talk. Unless you're getting the Ape Labs. I believe they're all made in China, no matter the brand.

@DjTravisNey oh by the way I almost always use one static color. I learned the hard way that some colors go out quicker. Even when on static.
Looks like Webb hooked you up with these lights.
How and where can I purchase them with the charging case?
These are from bothlighting.com
But like every company sells charging cases with uplights
How do you incorporate these into the ADJ Airstream system? You plug donner into one?
Yep
biggest problem I'm finding is instruction to use the phone app the manual is toilet paper.
The adj phone app?

How does the top come off? I have the s4 minis and someone spilt a drink on one. Need to get underneath the glass and clean it/dry it out.
There are 4 hex screws on the top
@@DjTravisNey The minis don't have those.
