man thank you seriously, this helps me a lot on my finals, cheers and all the best to you man.
Jey Richardson Anytime, thanks for watching!
I want to know how to combine an SSD and an HDD but the thing here is that I want all the information on the HDD but I want it to go by itself to the HDD and not to the SSD???
MODULO 3 LUIS FER it’s best just to use separate drives for that, just put your most used stuff in your ssd and the stuff that is big and not used much in the hard drive. There however is one way you can sort of do that: Intel Optane.
@牟宏林 that's an option if you're on a budget. You will have better control over your storage if you choose the ssd and hdd option, but that's also a good option.
Great video! You explained everything very well! You did the best job I've ever seen showing the subtle differences between RAIDs 4, 5, 6. I'm definitely saving this video for later! Cheers
Thanks man! Your video makes it easier for me to understand what is RAID all about.
Excellent video :D Very clear and concise with effective explanations - subbed :)
saved a lot of time man thanks for explaining it in such a simple way
thanks man. was worried about this topic which come tomorrow in my finals. now i have better clarity! 👍
Thank you! You answered my questions very succinctly. Very helpful.
So what did you decide to use?
Thanks so much!!!! This made so much more sense than what my book was trying to explain.
Very informative and simple to understand, thanks mate!
Something worth watching.. so good. Thanks for all your help!!
Nice presentation...I've always wondered what RAIDs do...Thanks for a very clear and stupid-friendly explanation, for that you earned my like and sub.
awesome man tomorrow is my OS exams and I got the concept cleared just exactly what I needed.
great work keep it up :)
Tomorrow is mine 🤣😅
Thanks for the video very informative, plus easy to understand. Well done.
studying for my server+ for my job this really helped thank!
Like the video. The visual aids really helped understanding that the RAIDS are.
Thanks.

Fantastic explanation.Made things very clear
Thank you so much
Great tutorial, nice detail
Awesomely clear video, thanks!
Thank you, GREAT EXPLANATION!
Thanks, best explanation of RAID that I have seen!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing, gonna setup a RAID 10 on my QNAP server with 4 4TB drives...
man thank you seriously, this helps me a lot
Thanks a lot, very clear! Makes life easier.
Highly useful info. Thanks very much!
Thank you for the video.
Just what I needed, thanks!
Thaaankksss a lot ... really easy version of understanding
Great presentation brother. Keep up the great work.
I read about all the RAID configurations a bit back on wiki, I still enjoyed the video and it would be really good for in a school. You're better than my computing teachers. :P
Very informative! Well done
I set up Raid 10 on my Mac using Yosemite. I am using 4 two terabyte drives. I erased them using MS-DOS (FAT). Then mirrored two of them labeling them Raid1 and Raid1(2) then added the two raided drives and labeled them with a random name no spaces and striped the two Raid1 and 2 together. Everything seems ok it is showing 4 Terabytes in Disk Utilities but when I go to finder it is showing 1.8 Terabytes... Why the discrepancy what am I doing wrong...
Perfect and clear video, I heard a lot of fuz about it here nowadays and didn't now much bout it, now it's really clear... only practical of course another question :P
this video is great, thank you so much!
My boss thought me about RAID, but you and him explained it really well, now I get the general idea what RAID is.
Thank you so much. Really really clear and helpful. Though can you please explain what the various letters stand for and how do we decide when the time comes to make a switch in letter symbol?
Very well explained, thanks!
One of the Best session or videos on RAID technology. Clear concept and clear english :)
Thanks a lot, very well explained! :)
Thank you very much!! Very well explained.
Brilliant Explanation! Thanks
Thank you so much. It was very helpful.
really helpful... understood all the concepts perfectly....
It helped a lot. Thanks.

Thank you so much for sharing.
ThankYou , I got info I was looking for.

Really makes it easy to understand
Great, Finally I know how which RAID I need, Thanks
thank you very much , you didn't know how much this video help me thanks
It helps me, thanks and regards!
Very clear, thanks!
No worry. This was certainly helpful. I'm helping a level 4 National Lab employee and math PhD (I'm decidedly neither) with building a MIDI setup in his accordion and this helps me talk with him on a larger scale. --the more you know.
Which would you recommend for really large files (250gb and bigger) where it's audio files that require intense care to making sure the sound quality isn't compromised by over use and extra copying and rebuilding?
Good breakdown. Thanks.
Thank you. Very useful!
Thank you so much for explanation.... Keep it up....!
great explanation !
Nicely explained, thanks. Been wondering what it all meant.
Thank u. Great explanation. Very useful
Thank you very much, for info.
Short and not very much info, but enough for people like me, who didn't know much about RAID.
thank you.
great explanation
very well explained. keep it up bro
Very interesting! Thnx for the awesome video!
Cool vid, I'm using 3x 1TB in Raid-0, but considering adding a 4th drive and do Raid-5, it would give me the same size as 3 disks in Raid-0. I'll lose write speed, but constantly backing up to external storage for backups for fear of losing your data can get old fast. You still need to backup Raid-5, but at least you have time to replace the failed hard drive, and while you wait, you still have your data in place.
Thanks for the video. I didn't know RAID 2,3,4 and 6 existed until now.
Thank you. Very useful.
very good explanation thanks man!
great presentation.
Hi. I want to build a Raid 10 with 4 HDDs. But now I ask myself what if my motherboard breaks down at some point ? Can I simply connect the 4 HDDs to a new and more modern MB that can also run Raid 10 and it will continue to run (plug & play) as before ? Or do I have to set up and format Raid 10 and then have to upload the data from a last backup ?
Thank you
awesome explanation
Thanks brother, helped a lot. Now I won't screw up tomorrow ;)
So with a raid 10, if a single drive failed, and I replaced it with a new drive would the second drive copy over the data the new drive? Or would I lose all the data in the pair?
Very informative!
Looks like raid 5 is the one for me. Thankyou!
Nice one great details enough for newbie. Plz share the link of if u have "how to choose different drives in RAID?"
Is there any alternative to Raid 1E, if my requirement is highest possible write speed (regardless what is read speed) with redundancy for minimum 1 (Preferably minimum 2) disc failure?
What will be correct options for my requirement if I want 3TB usable storage?
Thanks.
thank you, very clear ^^
Good explanation thank u
really very helpful (y) mob
well explained..thanks a ton
Hi,
Thanks for the Video..... I had trouble understanding RAID 6 and RAID 10...... You really simplified it :)
thanks man ... great job
Thanks dude.
Thank you sir
