- We were onboard P&O Arvia in the Caribbean where on the 2nd of February we were off the coast of Barbados as they were carrying out preparations for the naming of P&O Arvia.
P&O Arvia will be named at Heywoods Beach, Barbados on the 16th of March 2023.
This is a recording of the noon announcement by Captain Paul Brown, the captain of P&O Arvia. He gives a little information on our position and goes on to tease / prank us with an announcement about who will be the godmother 😂 Sorry, we couldn't resist and had to share this!

We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).
We have sailed on P&O Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean and Avalon Waterways. We'd love to try Ambassador Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), Fred Olsen, Holland America (HAL), Celebrity, Disney Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Costa, Aida, Marella and Celestyal.

Seems the trend for new ships in the last 2 years. She was delayed and etc so guessing playing it safe

They did the same with Iona. Britannia was named before so not sure if it’s anything to do with the last couple of years 🤷♂️
