We loved Arvia too and we’re very pleased to meet you briefly on this cruise. We agree about the seamless transfers and summary of the ship. Keep up the good videos and info. Best regards Gary and Helen xx
Just booked a transatlantic cruise on Arvia. Will be sailing from Southampton to Barbados over 2 weeks and after watching your vlogs cannot wait. My wife and I are in a sea view cabin and it looks great. Haven't booking drinks package (yet), not sure my liver could take 2 weeks of all inclusive drinks. There are lots of sea days so should get to enjoy all the ship has to offer. Keep up the good work, always look forward to watching your vlogs.
Ohhh fabulous! Have a wonderful cruise! 2 weeks will be fab, lots of time to get to know the ship, try everything and relax! Yeah, don’t get too hung up on the package, spend the first night looking at menus to see if what you like is included and how many you’ll drink each day. Especially on a long cruise, it may be better value to pay as you go!
Love your presentation and excited for my trip (15 days repositioning from Barbados to Southampton on 18 March). I read a few reviews saying, as it was a warm weather ship, there was a lot of blatantly selfish sun bed hogging. Did you guys notice that as an issue?
Thank you so much! Oh, have a fantastic time, would love to spend that long on Arvia. Bed hogging we didn't notice too much as we don't tend to spend long on a lounger. On sea days, yes it was busy, you would need to be up early to get the best seats. But we found the same on Beyond and MSC Seaside in the Caribbean. If you look enough, you will find beds or seat, we always did :)
@@CruiseMonkeys cheers guys to be honest I’m as happy on a deckchair with a book and a drink. I did an NCL about 8 years back and poolside beds had towels on them from sunrise onwards but quieter areas were ok. Anyway loved your positivity about Arvia and your style generally so I’m looking forward to following your travels in the future. All the very best
Thanks for all the info on Arvia, we go in 6 weeks 🎉 I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it’s possible to store your empty suitcases under the bed? I can’t tell from the vlogs. Thanks
That’s great! We’ve never managed to fit it in during our cruises but the films look very modern so maybe we’ll give it a go, especially if the weathers not great. ❤️
Excellent video. We’ve just booked Arvia yesterday for 14 night Caribbean next March from Barbados. Gone for the ocean view cabin with that great window seat. First time with P&O ( usually Royal Caribbean)Your videos are helping with my nerves of trying a different company. 😂 Ta loves. 👍🏼
Ohhhh fantastic - have a wonderful time! We’ve only done AnthemOTS and loved it, Arvia (or Iona) are probably the more comparable ones with lots going on etc! Enjoy 👍
Been looking forward to this! Love your Let’s Talk Ship format - really interesting and informative. We have not cruised with P &O yet but are very tempted by Arvia ! Out of the three - Princess,Celebrity and P&O - which do you prefer?
Glad you enjoyed it! Food definitely Celebrity, Service and Shows we’d say Princess and P&O for its homeliness and price - know that’s not an answer but we can’t pick 🤣
Great video guys, you’re both so full of ship!!👀😂 great deal and glad you had an amazing time. I’ve sailed with P&O a few times now and have always wondered if the drinks package is worth it so looking forward to you covering that 💙💙
Glad you enjoyed the highlights. The Beyond ones will be out after the Arvia ones. Each vlog takes around 1 week to make, so we didn’t have time between cruises to even start them sorry. Arvia let’s talk ship will be 4 episodes and then we’ll have the vlogs, once that’s all done the Celebrity Beyond ones will start. Don’t worry, we’ve not forgotten about them 😀 🙏
Its worth telling your viewers that p&o and marella are the 2 package cruises which use Chartered flights. Making it a full package. P&O use TUI flights same as Marella (obviously). Luggage is taken from the UK airport straight to the cabin on the ship. Gratuities, luggage, flights and full board cruise included in the fare. Itineraries are similar but p&o works out cheaper as drinks package are not included, where as marella is all inclusive.
@@CruiseMonkeys P &O also use Virgin flights. Unfortunately I was on a Thompson flight from Barbados. Not a great experience.. Took 2 hrs of asking to get headphones for films, food of a low standard compared to other airlines I have been on, attendants a bit surly.
Yeah, such a great price! Exactly, when we factored that in, it all adds up which is why we stuck with the 7 nights. 14 would have been lovely though :)
Most days we’d find somewhere but it could be very busy on sea days - this is the same for all mega ships as there is only so much space, but as we don’t spend all day in the sun it wasn’t a issue for us, we’d always find seating somewhere - just might not be in the prime spots where the sun worshipers we’re from first thing 😀
Thanks for the great video! I've heard that it is harder for Americans to book a P & O cruise, do you think that is the case? Or does it depend on where it is sailing from?
Glad you enjoyed! Yes, I think it is, we’ve American friends who are trying to book a P&O cruise at the moment (ua-cam.com/users/innocentsabroad), think there are only 1 or 2 agents in the US that do it.
Looks amazing guys and what a deal. Is it worth waiting until almost the last minute to book? We always book 2-3 years in advance but thinking now this might not be the best way!
It was a fab deal. We think at the moment, as a new ship and the way things are, if you can be flexible you can get last minute deals. Big ships they want to fill, some good deals for April at the mo. As consumer confidence grows prices will return to normal
I tend to watch films on the TV because I don't sleep as much as I used to (something of an annoyance) but a film would be fun on sea days. I hate you! I never get that kind of price for cruising! Part of that is paying double for an inside cabin as a solo traveler. Who did you have to kill to get that price? 😏
There is so much to do on this ship, something for everyone! The films were aldo relatively new! We can’t believe the price either, likely just trying to fill the ship as we only booked about 5 weeks before the cruise. Some deals on Arvia in the next few month too, keep a look out and you might find something 🤞
I don’t know what you’re on about sorry. If you have a complaint to make you need to contact P&O themselves not us. If P&O isn’t for you then try a different cruise line that’s your choice. These are our own independent opinions.
I’ll try again re Butlins at sea. Queuing for everything from the buffet to main restaurants with limited menus especially main and Luke warm food in buffet.Deserts bland and tasteless and even food left on the floor from previous guests but worst of all are the sunbed wars. What do you expect and again like Butlins there are over 5000 passengers on this ship with only 2000 sun beds. You do the maths and good luck if you ever sail on this ship.Shame really as everything else is fine although the entertainment can be below the standard expected on a cruise ship with the larger Royal Caribbean ships far superior in this department.
I don’t think having a rant on UA-cam is the way to get these matters addressed you need to put this into writing or contact P&O themselves if you have a complaint.

Thank you so much for the support 🥰 She’s a fab little (well big) ship

You really did have a fantastic time on board it shows across your faces every time you talk about it.
It’s was fab 😍
So glad to hear you loved it. Great video. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Arvia looks sooooo cool!!! 🎉🎉🎉
It was fabbbbbbb
Nice one chaps! Glad you enjoyed your voyage 😊. We sail on Arvia in 2024 and your videos are a great insight and resource. Thanks for sharing 🛳️😊🛳️
Our pleasure! Glad the videos are useful 😀

Thanks once again for a great video, 3 weeks today we go, cant wait now x
Hope you enjoy it, actually we know you will, it’s fab!
Thanks for all the info on Arvia, we go in 6 weeks 🎉
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it’s possible to store your empty suitcases under the bed?
I can’t tell from the vlogs.
Thanks
Have a great time and yes, plenty of room under the bed, that’s where we keep them :)
Watching your video - yes I’ll be taking my adult disabled son to the cinema at least once or twice on our Med Arvia cruise! It’s one of his ‘things’
That’s great! We’ve never managed to fit it in during our cruises but the films look very modern so maybe we’ll give it a go, especially if the weathers not great. ❤️
Hi both,
Great to watch your enthusiasm aboard Arvia! Can see ship has more to offer than Iona , More welcoming.
Yes, definitely- we say warm but you hit the nail on the head with welcoming! 👍
She looks amazing can't wait to see the vlogs
She really is! And just wait till you see the food 🤤

Great ship talk ! Just looked at Ariva for January 2024. It’s cheaper for a 14 night than a 7 night cruise. How mad!!
Oh wow! Yeah there are some great prices for 14 nights at the mo!
Thank you for the video.
Thank you for watching! And commenting too! 🎉👍🏻
Great video as always guys.
We have room 4463 on Iona in October.
So I'm hoping it's very similar too this room, family of 4
Thank you! Yes, it should be exactly the same - this was a 4 berth too 👍
Looks awesome. Would love to go on a cruise with you guys
It really was! Ohh you may bump in to us one day 😀

Thank you! We are sailing for first time on Celebrity Apex in July so will be interesting to compare to Princess x
Great video guys, you’re both so full of ship!!👀😂 great deal and glad
you had an amazing time. I’ve sailed with P&O a few times now and have always wondered if the drinks package is worth it so looking forward to you covering that 💙💙
Thanks so much!! For us it’s definitely worth it but understand it’s not for everyone! Looking forward to sharing that episode
Hi when will you be showing your celebrity cruise we watched your highlights which was great but looking forward to seeing your daily holiday videos

I loved it on Arvia I'm going again 2025 med and Iona fords next year August
Thank you ☺️
Great Video guys, we’re booked on Arvia for November, can’t wait .
Could let me know what excursion you got in St Lucia? Was it through P&O?
Thank you! Yes, the Cruise to the Pitons was a P&O excursion, think around £50pp 👍 Have a fab time!
Im going on ventura 29th april
Very late to this thanks very much indeed. Absolutely great price by the way, but you have to, factor in the cost, of travel, to and from the airport.
Yeah, such a great price! Exactly, when we factored that in, it all adds up which is why we stuck with the 7 nights. 14 would have been lovely though :)
Did you find there are plenty of room to sunbathe om the ship thanks

Thanks for all your vblogs. You mentioned this 7 night cruise cost £1099 .. was that pp or total price
Thank you
Per person 😉
Thank you for the reply. Even at £1099 per person that’s a real good deal to say the least
How did you take pic of covid test for entry into Antigua.
Hi, there was no requirements to show proof of the test result on our cruise
Was the price you gave just for one person?
Hi. Yes, that was per person cruise & flights. We have seen some 14 night cruises on her out of Southampton for under £900.
I tend to watch films on the TV because I don't sleep as much as I used to (something of an annoyance) but a film would be fun on sea days.

Who has?
Either you or P&O
