Had a Mercury on order for 6mo? Never could get a good answer on delivery . Been watching the Team Marine Video with Andy on these Suzuki 250 SS for a long time . Some time things work out
for a reason! My local dealer Cotton Country Marine in Jay Fl got one in and the rest is history ! Made the purchase and joined the Suzuki family ! Absolutely the best move to date on updating my
2016 V20 Legend .Got 3hrs on the break in time . Hoping the rain will get out her today so I can getter done! Got a 90 Suzuki and this 250 SS in my Fleet and can't imagine buying anything else !
Thank you Suzuki and Cotton Country Marine for the start of this experience ! You guys standing in line waiting on anther brand need to wake up ! Very Happy !

Ooh digital rigging has that been as reliable and responsive as the cables on other motors so far ? Or not much feedback yet to soon to tell ?
2021 Suzuki DF70ATL3 here & I love it. Any regular things to keep an eye for? Maintenance an such? Big fan of your vids also, keep ‘em coming boss! 💪🏼
we are in the process of repowering our 23' C Hawk CC charter boat with a white 2023 250 ss . cant wait to see how it performs
I really enjoy these types of videos. Very interesting to see the latest technology. You guys really rock! Keep them coming. Thanks Andy!
Thanks! Will do!
I like the new re power on older boats videos. Would like to see one even for 150 stealth. Hanging around your shop you can learn a few things even if that’s not what focus is.
Seeing how you guys rig the 250SS, gives your customers a little bit of knowledge of what you all go through. It’s just not turning the key over and starts. Giving the consumer the opportunity to hear and see how technology advanced this motor is good stuff. Keep up the good work keeping us informed.
Love the looks of the new Suzuki. Gotta admit though, nothing sounds like a new merc 250 when firing up. But I would give up that sound anyday, for the reliability of that Suzuki.
3:20 PM Wow , Chad good job. That's my boy!!!
I'm a big suzuki fan and user. Love the engine repower videos and the tech integration. Thx...
Well, the video production value at Team Marine has improved drastically since I was last here.. Nice!
Glad ya like it!
Wow Awesome episode any one who wants to complain about waiting to service needs to watch this how knowledge goes into working on this modern shit
Shame that the engine was damaged in shipping. Can't wait to see how it does on that Ranger. Andy is correct. The engine looks bad ass!
Outstanding. You Guy's truly set the bar for Excellence!
I love my 2020 250 SS on my 203 ChampioN. I can't say enough about the Motor. Dependable, sips fuel, Good top end speed and shoots out of the hole. And I no longer have to full with the oil tank on a 2 stroke. Andy, Thanks for recommendations on the Suzuki 250 SS. I love it!
Great minds think alike, Tracywest. I traded my 2012 175 HP Etec (luckily I never had any problems with that engine) for a 2021 225HP Suzuki. This engine is so quiet and the ride of my 2012 Hurricane Sundeck is much smoother and faster. Love this engine, and I know that it will be dependable for many hours and years to come.
Suzuki sent my motor from cali to atlanta, back to cali, then to Louisiana. carton was all screwed up , but the engine was untouched.
That SS is the most badass looking outboard there is!!
The riging videos are always A+
To heck with a small 250 lets do the Mercury 500r. ha. Great video amazing.
I work at a westmarine and from seeing who has the most problems I’m sticking with merc
Would love to see this style of video more often brother, this kicked ass
Love seeing the behind the scenes footage. Keep it coming
I wish I had waited for the DTS version, but I still love my 2018 250SS. Very reliable!
Anymore on the new 250 ss? Been waiting on the follow up videos.....
I LOVE the unboxing/ rigging videos. Keep em coming if you can!
Looking forward to seeing and hearing this engine, (hopefully with no background music), on the water. Which no one, as of yet, seems to have posted an on hands (performance) review. My wife & I are looking at 24' Silver Wave Tri-toon's, which are partnered with Suzuki. Would like to see if it's worth going up to a 250SS over a 200, which you have to upgrade if you want a 6cyl.
I enjoy all of your informative videos.
That's pretty damn impressive! Can't wait to see the next video
can you explain the difference between a 250 and a 250ss I can't find anything? I love watching your no-nonsense video. thank you!
Very informative and actual shop boat work with rigging info. Love it. Do more
They redesigned the whole motor to fit the grommet!!
Please do a video on the 300 Zuke and 300 Yamaha - I am fairly new to the channel but love it - my kind of content !
Love to see videos like this , actually doing the work on stuff, very entertaining and informative 👍
Good looking engine
💥 LOVE IT!
I can't wait to get one on my Ranger
I loved this video I find this stuff educational and interesting. I'm an industrial maintenance technician so of course I would like it lol
Japanese ... No dirty knees .Tell it like it is Guy's.
Best manufacture out there. Optional thermostats for northern customers ...
#Bingo
This will be my repower engine for sure.
Keep the videos coming! Love the content. If I had to get another motor I believe it would be the Suzuki 250 SS.
Good choice!
Love the rigging videos!!!
Love this style of video, great job as usual guys
Great video! I like the technical side of stuff.
I could never afford one but I really like your videos.
Enjoyed seeing the process
Love seeing these rigging videos. So, when y’all moving to Texas. Lol
I enjoyed that type of video. It is interesting to see the work that goes into getting it rigged.
Awesome video. Those Suzuki motors are definitely giving Yamaha some good competition.
I enjoy these types of videos. I do not miss working/rigging boats but I enjoy watching others. The fly by wire/ modules scare me but that could be from seeing so many BRP’s fail. I do have confidence in the Japanese stuff. The new rigging grommet looks like the 80’s Yamaha!!!
Need one. love watching
Great information guys!
Our pleasure!
More rigging videos, that motor looks killer
Absolutely loved this video. I've never seen the process of hanging one. Suzuki has hit a home run on this one. Thank you, Andy!!
Videos are awesome, keep it up guys !!!!!! Kingsport Tennessee here
You should weigh the engine to see how heavy the new 250SS is compared to the competition and see who’s fibbing in their sales brochures. Glad to see they fixed the rigging tube.
I like this type of video! Thanks!
I'm a fan of the different perspective in this video. Keep up the entertaining content! 👏🏼
Great informative video I so want a 150 Suzuki on my old Triton
Also the Smg4 has troll mode built in for the 2.0 system.
Awesome!
Wish we heard it fire off a few times and hear how it sounds! Andy Morgan recently rigged a new SS on his XRS Bullet. They sent him to a friend of mine for prop testing. I think they came up with using a Scorpion 29 temporarily . Of course the Bullet is about 500 lbs lighter than that Ranger. I'm guessing a 27 Scorpion for that set-up. I'm a Tempest guy tho. I have a 21 Ranger with a 225 Pro XS and turn a 25 Tempest at 6K.
Like them can’t wait for the test ride
Awesome watching all that come together!!
What’s the top speeds like as compared to mercs and yammies?
Very good looking motor, has a traditional boat motor look, how is the parts availability on Suzuki?
When will the next video on the 250ss come out ?
Loved the rigging video. Looks like Suzuki did a great job thinking this all the way through. Keep putting out the content and pray for some rain to fill this little ditch we call the Mississippi River.
Love these videos and love your honest reviews and integrity.
Love shop stuff guys 👍👍👍👍
I like the multifunction gauge, the rigging tube will be Andy's New best freind since there is not so much stuff to route back into the engine.Very good lookin outboard.Keep up the good work fellas, cant wait to see the Finished product and a lil trip down the river.PS:Dont forget to put the Plug in,lol.
Love to video sir
Love this style video.
Think Suzuki will ever put out a 225 SS motor with a 20” shaft or do they don’t a big enough market for it which that’s why they have yet to put one out?
OK, just watched the rigging, are the new 115, 140 and 150 plug and play also. What is the approximate lead time for install and delivery of the motors. Where can I find MSRP on them. assuming rigging is an extra cost, are the controls included in the cost of the motor ? Computer , wireless steering what ever is needed to go boating. Thanks again
Does the 90 come in dts form love the look
Awesome video. Loved it!
Love the vid. great content
Very nice!
Not into the big boy boats yet but my 2023 Suzuki 60hp tiller is a beast! Literally won't buy another outboard
ALL that just to catch fish haha. Great video btw
I have one of the new 250SS on a 2013 Ranger 520C. Your video was fantastic. I cant wait for the 2nd part. In the mean time how did you deal with the trim on the steering column and the trim located on the bow of the boat? My local dealer was unable to make those work with the all digital motor.
I have not done anything with the trim problem. I am running a 3 blade solace 27 with adjustable vent holes and I am getting 68 mph on the tope end.@@ccrr8029
You will also find the Suzuki wants to run compared to the old motor I had.
run high sorry!
@@RalphNewberry-k8uI have the same boat, what is your top speed and what prop? And did you solve your trim issues, if so how? ….thanks!
I’m really interested in the new Suzuki 250 SS. I have a 2019 Ranger 520L with a 4” Atlas jack plate…. I’ve done some research on these motors but th are several models to choose from. I want the all digital controls…. Is there anyway you could provide me the part number for the appropriate motor? Also do I need a long shaft or short shaft? I live in Oregon so this is why I’m asking y’all. Thanks for your time
Jason
How do you shine your head that shiney!
Any update on river testing with the new 250ss ? Im seeing people selling their new suki because of the sluggish holeshot. Iv been through 6 props already. With tournament load its taking forever to get on plane. Any insight would be great
I have the new Suzuki on a 2013 Ranger 520C I had the same hole shot problem until I went with the vented Scorpion 3 blade prop in a 27. The vent holes are the key.
Hey andy. Could you help me with my blinker trim switch ? Is it just plug and play to the digital wiring harness? The dealer who installed my 250ss didn’t hook it up
Looks like a great motor, it’s a shame the cowl got damaged. Would love to see a TWIN RIG 23’ Grey DF250SS set up 500hp with Counter rotation 25” motors on a bigger boat obviously 😊
this motor will never end up setup as duals.. no counter rotation offering.
What speed did you end up getting? I have this exact setup.
Did they ever fix the 200 SS?
i have a alumacraft 165 magum im putting a 60 hp suzuki tiller motor on it what prop shoud i put on
Hi, if I rigg myself, did I need a computer and the Suzuki software for calibrating?
Are they a satin gray or black?
Can I please have the scratched cowling, would look great on my 2019 250 SS Suzuki, I will pay all the shipping and packaging, thank you for the consideration.
Not sure if the latch system can be retro fitted
Them dam unopened boxes !! 😂
where aer you guys from
Is that DtS optional?
Routing the cables(shift and throttle) are not the things I enjoy... been doin that for 20yrs and can´t wait these things to come to the 20hp engines..
Love mine so far. 4 hours on it. Still checking props. Its on a 2016 triton 20trx. Have a 26 and 27 scorpion coming. Tried a mercury 25 fury 3 and 4 blade. Motor is 2” below pad hitting the rev limiter at 64 mph with the fury 3 and 62mph with the fury 4. Hole shot is decent. Throttle response is insane with this motor. Still need to take it in to my local marine dealer to have them connect the blinker trim, the dealer that installed it said the blinker trim will not work with the digital 🤷♂️ any insight about that would help. Also, how do i get water pressure on the smg4/ garmin, its not showing up ??
if you figure out the water pressure lmk. Figured I would have to add a gauge unless there's a way to get it to display. I am running 28 scorpion. 74mph blazer 625. 28 scorpion at elevation sucks (1k ft). I think I might try a 27 or just use the 28p 4 blade suzuki when at elevation.
I have a C-10 and I bought the Suzuki kit to add water pressure... installed it. I see water pressure on the Suzuki C-10 gauge but not on my Garmin 93sv. I get trim, tach, fuel level and usage, engine temp... but not water pressure. It all goes through the NMEA network, but for whatever reason, the Garmin doesn't show the water pressure.
Can this motor do 70mph on a z520c?
Would also like to know this…..
Has anyone seen Andy in the same room as John Malkovich?
Do they or are they going to make a 225 ss?
Currently No, in the future.....Wouldn't get our hopes up
I am running a 22 model on a 2015 legend v20 has a 25 scorpion 3 blade but only turning 53-5400 rpm and hole shot is terrible what would you recommend going to
i am running the 28 scorpion on a 2023 625. works great. 5900-6000 rpm 74mph
🤘
Fly by wire 😮 not sure about that set up....
That’s what they say when fuel injection was introduced. A lot of the vehicles on the road are fly by wire. No rusty cable anymore. Ain’t that a beach.😅
I know just old school....we put a Suzuki 250SS in 2021 and it is an amazing motor on a Stratos 201 XL 2007
Shop videos 👍👍
