Thank you for this beautiful tribute and thank you Cal Falcons and UC Berkeley for allowing us into these beautiful birds lives. Fly high sweet little boy blue- this old grandma learned a lot from you 💔
I'll never forget the joyous Whoop!! and applause from the crowd (including my college roommate and me) who were watching the big screen when Noxie hatched. That precious little nutter was special from Day One. Thank you, SKH, for your loving tribute to him. He may have been the wee one but he didn't know it. Deepest condolences to all of Noxie's fans and to those who loved and cared for him, especially Cal Falcons and the UC Davis Cal Raptor team. We will miss you, sweet boy.
Thank you, SKH, for this moving tribute to Nox. He may have been little, but he had an outsized presence. You captured two of my favorite memories: trying to be a big boy and ending up under a mumbrella; and being the first to sound the alarm when the featherless monsters attacked the nest. He may have been born last, but caught up with his siblings fast. I am heartbroken that he didn't make it: such a smart, feisty bird deserved a chance to take on the world. I'm so grateful for all the people who helped him and thankful that he died in loving care.
I as well am sorry it did not make it. Lots of developing body systems have to develop early after hatching and at times some don't become operational for Survival. One thing Sure, being a PF chick he would never be pecked to death no matter how many chicks in clutch or how little food provided by it's parents. They would have provided enough for it. 1 egg left in clutch unhatched is not uncommon, Just this one had a good start in life after hatching. , disappointing those who though it had made the early transition to healthy Chick status from hatching.
His courage and attitude is what made him special 💖. She captured 2 of my favorite moments as well (1st to sound the alarm & sunbathing) which shows just how smart he was. Would have loved for him to have a family of his own to pass those traits on to 🙏💙
As I sit here with tears running down my face I want to say thank you Nox , Little Boy Blue. It was because of you that I truly developed a love for raptors. You were special in so many ways. You found a place in my heart that will never die. Love never dies. You were little with chutzpah and a heart of gold. Fly fly free soar the skies .. you may be gone but never forgotten. Thank you for this incredible tribute SKH. I’m sure it was hard to make. ❤️
Little Boy Blue was an inspiration to us all. He was a fighter from the start, and this beautiful memorial compilation shows that. Thank you SKH for capturing the sweet moments of our feisty little ones life. He will never be forgotten, he captured our hearts. Thanks to everyone who helped him fly again, albeit very short. We love you Nox, fly high and free❤❤❤
Thanks SK Hideaways. A beautiful tribute for a beautiful boy. These little characters with personality are very special. I’ll miss him forever and never forget him. Go rest precious Nox. I love you. ❤
I am heartbroken to see this 💔 Our precious little Nox 😭Fly high and free our little boy blue 🕊️ We will never forget you! You brought us so much joy during your short little life, for which we are so grateful for 🙏 Tysvm SK for keeping us updated on Nox's recovery 🤗🥰 and on this saddest of news 😢😞. Will love you and miss you always, our precious little Nox 😔🙏
This tribute was so moving. Even learned some new things about him that I hadn't known before. He was truly a very special Falcon. We are all blessed to have been able to watch his short, but sweet life. Thank you to all of those people who took such good care of him bless you I will really miss you Noxie.
Thank you for this wonderful video, SKH! A beautiful young falcon. And I'd forgotten about him sunbathing with Annie 😆Oh, he made us laugh, didn't he? Thank you, Nox, and thank you to all his rescuers for the care they put into him. I hope his last moments were as gentle as possible with these weird featherless aliens.💔❤🩹
Oh no!!!!😢 I didn’t hear this terrible news I was so hopeful for him since he was with a falconer on the way to recovery. 😞 I pray he is never forgotten his precious spirit was loved by so many💔 thank you to all the people that worked so hard and rooted for him along his healing journey. Forever Equinox ‘24❤
Im still gutted upon learning of Equinox's passing. Nox, you may have been the smallest of your siblings but that is by no means a meaurre of.your courage when you were a warning beacon on branding day, or how much you loved your siblings. Rest in a Peace our little boy blue. May your spirit soar high above the skies and in our hearts forever. Thank you @SKhideaways for the lovely tribute to our Equinox 😢🙏💔💐🐥✨️❤️❤️
so very heat broken for my little boy blue !! may you fly high little buddy your so missed already . crying so much for your lose you were my very favorite . RIP NOX !! thanks for tribute to him SK !! 😭😭❤❤💙💙
He was my favorite of the four 💚💛🖤💙. It’s so sad that he left us just when he was ready to fly into his own world 😭. May little Noxie fly free forever. 💔 💙
Am devastated. Unable to watch yet. Not unlike with Lou Boo. But thank you, CalFalcons & SKH, for all that you have done to provide fans with such incredible footage, education... and memories. My appreciation knows no bounds. SKH. You are as artful an editing master as you are a supreme keypad narrator -- an impassioned chronicler of raptors everywhere. Grateful blessings to you, to CalFalcons & to the UC Davis Cal Raptor Center team. Equinox made his mark. In all our hearts. He will have many half-siblings to come. May some of them share even a little bit of precious Nox's personality. He left so much to follow. And with wing-loads of fun. The Sky Kingdom is now yours to soar, falcon blue boy. Love to you always & forever, you lil' spitfire Equinox, you! ❤
Rest in Peace Not 🪶🌠 what a beautiful tribute. I did not know that Nox passed 😭 so lovely to see him with his sister Aurora - I didn't know that some falcons spend time after they fledge with their fellow chicks 😍
How fortunate we are to have witnessed the life of this little guy! And, how grateful to have someone like SK to document it! SK, as a fellow filmmaker I applaud your technical skill. More importantly , I.applaud your artistic sensitivity. Watching this short film reminds us of the joy and helps subdue the tears. Bless you!
Yes, thank you So much SK_H, for doing this tribute to Little Boy Blue Noxie. I think so many of us were so hopeful of his progress. This news is so saddening. He was a special one to so many. Watching your tribute made me smile, remembering how this little one sounded the alarm on banding day, while the others prepared to be fed. He was the littlest of his siblings, but he was mighty. Fly high little Noxie. ❤
😭💔🙏🌈✝ Pascale, jet te confie la petite âme de Nox ce jeune Baby Boy Blue ✝ †Nox†, like an Angel, unzipped his feathered down coat and his soul flew away to the Heavens where he was welcome by all his older family members. Now you are flying among the stars, marvellous †Nox†. Rest In Peace.
Perhaps Annie & Archie made such an incredible creation that the good lord himself sees fit to use him for a bigger purpose. RIP sweet boy. We have you in our hearts forever.
Once again, our hearts are wrenched by the loss of a beloved Campanile Peregrine … I’m grateful that the first few months of Nox’s time on this earth were captured on cam and camera so that we can remember his delightful personality and his go-for-it attitude. I only dearly wish his story had ended differently, far into the future. Thank you, SKH, for this lovely tribute to our “LBB,” allowing us to smile through our tears…. 💔💫
Thank you for this tribute! I feel so sad about precious Nox. I followed his journey. Went from feeling joy about his release to heartbreak. Rest in peace, Little Boy Blue 💙💙
OMG, just going to sleep and saw this, then read the blog. Emaciated? In 3 days? He even had a snack when he left and another meal before. Don't their full crops give them a couple of days food? I trust he was a good weight when realeased. Something else going on.. Or maybe he just flew like crazy and forgot to eat. 80mi I think! He was so happy to be free! I'm glad he had 3 wonderful days, anyway, but hate that he went through all his treatment for 3 days, then went down so fast. I'm sure his team is just gutted. I'm gutted. At least he was found and got treatment, and not just a faraway unmoving radio blip on a screen (his tracker). He had a super cute face and expression. And so funny. I didn't know he laid down ON his sister, used her for a bed lol. She was fine with it, he didn't weigh much! Cheeky! He raised up 3 sisters and brought the fun, and excitement. I knew ya since the egg, young man, it hurts, fly free to the Rainbow Bridge. All my love, sweet Noxie. ❤️💛💙💚💜🌈
He was in rehab for a broken wing, but soon after he was released he had to be rescued again. He died while in this second rehab. Here's the whole story news.berkeley.edu/2024/10/24/falcon-fans-mourn-and-remember-nox-uc-berkeleys-youngest-peregrine/
