Greggdog doesn't stop barking.
You watched Despicable Me. Check out the trailer for the fourth movie.
Why is this not on Patreon?
Where is it on patreon?
You guys need to watch True Detective: Night Country
Do you want to see a Man from U.N.C.L.E. sequel???
Absolutely
There has to be a certain recast. Certainly want to see a sequel
Underrated movie and still one of my favourite movies in top ten
bro i've dreamed of that happening
Yes but unfortunately it flopped so it won’t happen 😢
I want the sequel so bad, this movie criminally underated
Underrated movie and wish they had made a sequel to this film. I still have the poster I got when I saw it in Cinemark years back around 2015. You can tell Henry Cavill could've played James Bond. He was having so much fun.
This comment ✊🏾✊🏾
100% underrated and the 1st and only time I saw Cavill's charisma, people keep talking about, cause people mix good looks with it, it ain't.
very underrated movie that went under the radar due to other things out and going on.
He could still play Bond. He's under consideration for it.
@@ChrisTheAspergerGuy I think they're leaning on A.Taylor Johnson guy, who is only as good as the director, as we've seen him be GREAT in Kick-ass and Bullet train, yet being the absolutely WORSE part of that 1st new Godzilla.
This is one of those movies that should’ve been a massive hit, but for some reason flew under the radar.
Armie Hammer started to get into trouble around the time the movie came out. The bad press affected the film.
Henry Cavil isn't exactly a box office draw so it shouldn't be surprising
@@francisco_m7849 If you're talking about the abuse and cannibalism stuff, that definitely became public AFTER "Call Me by Your Name" from 2017. According to the Internet, the allegations started in 2021.
@@francisco_m7849 This movie came out in 2015. Then he had that movie Call Me By Your Name in 2017, which had a lot of Oscar buzz. Don't remember if it won any, but his stardom was definitely on the rise
I believe it was around 2019/2020 that that changed. At least, that's how I remember it
I felt the same way about A-Team.
Imagine Henry Cavill as Archer
I think Archer would love it if a man like Henry Cavill was his live action portrayal😂
Then, who malary and Lana
I would love to see these guys react to archer!
Who is Archer?
Thank you for putting that idea in my head, damn the world for not making it happen 😂👍
RIP to David McCallum who played the OG Illya Kuryakin who passed away last year and Robert Vaughn who played the OG Napoleon Solo who passed away in 2016.
Henry Cavill is 6'1, Elizabeth Debicki is 6'3, and Armie Hammer is 6'5
Her neck alone is six inches.
She's 6'2 but yeah still tall.
Henry Cavill is FANTASTIC in this film, his acting was amazing. If there is a chance that there will be another James Bond film, Henry should be cast. He has charisma for sure and he is probably the most charming man I have ever seen. It is definitely the best choice for this role.
I watched the tv show this was based on a while back, and it's super underrated. This film really captures the same energy and Henry Cavill was perfect casting.
This movie is underrated. Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, and Alicia Vikander were great. They should make a sequel.
Hell yes this is the movie that made me realize henry cavill is litrally born and needs to play the new james bond he has the looks the accent everything
Considering he's working on a 40K project...I think he might be a touch busy.
I'll never understand why this movie failed at the box office. I loved it when I saw it on the big screen. It's a shame most people have to only experience it on a TV.
The Box Office is super weird when it comes to Guy Ritchie … he either kills it or they just ignore him even when the films amazing 🤷🏻♂️
I saw it at the theaters and loved it. I like Guy Ritchie movies.Henry Cavill is the man. I own this movie. I don't own very many.
Henry Cavill is perfect to play the next James Bond. He looks similar but slightly different to Timothy Dalton's appearance.
The problem is they never give the role to an actor who is already widely known.
@@ThunderForce2000 Pierce Brosnan was the star of Remington Steele and Sean Connery had starred in Darby O'Gill and the Little People for Disney.
Definitely recommend “The Gentlemen,” or any of his gangster films you can find.
Oh hell yes. The Gentlemen was amazing.
Hey guys. I'm so glad you reacted to this film. Guy Ritchie did an excellent job with this remake of the 60's television series. Part of his genius was the reversal of actors as the lead stars. Casting Henry Cavill (British) as Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer (American) as Illya Kuriyakin was inspirational because it was the exact opposite of actors on the television series. Robert Vaughn (American) was Napoleon Solo and David McCallum (British/Irish) played Illya the Russian. Man From U.N.C.L.E. purists hated it and many actively boycotted the movie. I grew up loving the TV show, but absolutely loved this interpretation. I'm very excited to hear there's talk of a sequel.
They didn't notice David Beckhams' 'blink-and-miss' cameo, during Solo's torture scene!!!
I think this cemented my belief Henry is a perfect Bond candidate. Would love a sequel to this!
I could just sit and watch Guy Ritchie films all day... Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, RocknRolla, Snatch and as another one said Gentlemen - which is criminally overlooked. I would've loved to seen a sequel before ya know, Armie and all....
"There's no school like the old school and I'm the fucking headmaster." Love RockNRolla and Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Live action Archer is always a hit. My wife and I love the old style they went with here. It should have been much more of a hit.
Ian Fleming provided the name Napoleon Solo to the creators of the original Man From UNCLE tv series
Missed cameo - the Russian changing the slides during the introductory briefing is David Beckham!
The movie that made me a Henry Cavill and Elizabeth Debicki fan.
This movie is criminally underrated and I’ve wanted a sequel ever since I first saw it. I really hope it goes through. And yes, this was the perfect audition for Henry Cavil being the next Bond.
This was a nice surprise! I don't think the film did too well at the box office/wasn't received well in general though so that's probably why it never got a sequel at the time. A real shame as I thought all 3 leads worked very well together and with the whole Hammer scandal in recent years, a sequel looks to never happen unfortunately. A highly stylish underrated film and a lot of fun; they did a great job with the costuming, editing, action, camera work etc.
This is based on one of my favourite tv/film series The Man From Uncle, Henry Cavell is really great in this,I went to see this in the cinema loved it.
Dear lord(!) it's so beautiful... when I saw the thumbnail I had to do a double-take. I have recommended this little gem to other channels (where I know specifically they would really appreciate it) but nah; you might actually be one of the first channels to check this flick out. KUDOS to you and thanks!
I Love This Movie!!! One of the very first Henry Cavill projects that I saw; and one that made me think "Oh, this guy is kind of good at this whole acting thing." Thoroughly enjoyed it.😍
“The gentleman” is another guy ritchie movie that absolutely slaps! matthew mcconaughey is a delight in it
This movie was underrated! Henry Cavill is good in this movie! 👍
Fun fact: The original television show with David McCallum and Robert Vaughn they both appeared in DC films animated and live action with McCallum voicing Zeus in Wonder Woman (2009) and Vaughn in Superman III (1983). Also you have Elizabeth Debicki before she was known as Ayesha the priestess in Guardians of the Galaxy Vols 2 and 3 as the main antagonist.
David McCallum from NCIS
@@fkim8449 Yup.
Who do you think Elizabeth debicki should play in the dcu?
@@prathapkutty7407 Maybe Poison Ivy.
@@Brook11223not a bad choice. I would personally go for anya taylor joy.
This is one of my fav movies. We need a Tv show with the same actors on hbo. It's everything we need in entertainment right now.
This is a great action spy movie based on the 1960's TV series of the same name!
What's interesting is that this movie is as close as we were going to get seeing Henry Cavill as James Bond.
Armie Hammer is in the film, and it's a shame he'll never act in Hollywood ever again due to a lot of sexual assault allegations against him, where he now has a job selling timeshares in the Cayman Islands
Been waiting on this one for a while too. Saw that your reaction was up and decided to watch it tonight. Had such a great time with it.
Yes! SUCH an underrated gem. Aside from the length (I think it is a bit too long), I love the camerawork, the MUSIC is incredible, and it is my favorite Henry Cavill performance yet! Also, I can't help myself but imagine that this is a live Archer movie, with Henry as Archer and Armie as Cyborg Barry 😁
It's not long enough D;
Well, you have to see the Quintessential two Guy Ritchie movies. "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels," and my personal favorite "Snatch."
Also "The Gentlemen" is definitely worth a watch too.
Thanks so much for this I was literally just searching for something to watch and I love your channel greatly. Have an amazing year
You should watch
King Arthur, a criminally underrated movie.
Yes thank you! 3:29 finally someone that notices and gives due credit to Cavill's 60s old school classic American movies accent.
So excited to see you guys react to this! I actually watched your reaction to the trailer not too long ago & wondered if you guys watched it off screen. Love love love Henry & this movie. Wish he was in more.
Guys, you didn't say much about the sexiest dance in pajamas I've ever seen. (just before they wrestle). Fun film to watch with the 2 of you, thanks.
Another FANTASTIC Guy Richie movie: King Arthur, Legend of the sword.. That is my Favorite non superhero movie, from its soundtrack to its overall story So good.. If you two get a chance. DEFINITELY CHECK THAT ONE OUT
Henry Cavill should be the next James Bond
This is one of my favorite movies! Great acting. Great chemistry between the cast members. Great script. So underrated!
I was waiting for the second part for so long but then Hammer that episode. Let’s see if we get any other parts in future or not. Cavil was charming as cheese, Hammer was rough around the edges exactly how they intended.
I mean Hammer can easily return, since he's basically been proven innocent.
OMG I've never clicked on a notification faster lol! So excited to see you guys watch this!
The girl mechanic is hilarious when she is dancing drunk and tries to make Illya(armie hammer's character) dance
Snatch and Rock N Rollas are absolute must watches from Guy Ritchie! The Sherlock Holmes he did are awsome too
The gentleman is a must see
So much more than I expected with this film. I freaking love it. So good and still so underrated. Still would want a sequel even with Armie hammer 🖐️🎤
I have been waiting for the sequel for years😢 And there’s actually a reference to this film in “the gentlemen”, where someone says what we need is a sequel, with an uncle poster in the background. Simply drove me mad when watching this (after all these years)
Anyone else think Ritchie is one of the most underrated directors working today? I actually thought his King Arthur movie was a lot of fun
Yes! I love it too. I wish there were more reactions for it out there.
I was going to use the Kind Arthur films as a reason for why he is underrated. He makes some great stuff, then some absolute clangers
Oh this movie is so darn underrated, and so darn funny. The 3rd act climax feels a little out of place from the rest of the movie, but all the same. Shame this didn't get a bigger audience.
Little James Bond reference there. The mentioned Count Lippe was a Spectre agent in Thunderball. 😉
Seeing Henry Cahvil in here he would be awesome as the next James Bond
Snatch and The Getleman are two Guy Ritchie movies, I highly suggest.
I really loved that movie, thanks for that trip back to it, loved your reaction.
0:08 - NAPOLEON SOLO. The 1960s TV series, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., was devised as an American James Bond-type spy series with the main protagonist, Napoleon Solo, portrayed by Robert Vaughan (one of the original Magnificent Seven).
Initially about a lone operative (hence the name, 'Solo'), a second main character was introduced to appeal to a younger female demographic. This blonde, slim, handsome Russian by the name of Illya Kuryakin became Solo's partner, and was portrayed by British actor, David McCallum.
McCallum gained renewed international popularity for his role as NCIS medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard in the American television series 'NCIS', which he played for 20 seasons until his death in September 2023. He was 90 years old.
Cool fact. Like Robert Vaughan, McCallum also appeared on film with Steve McQueen. They both appeared in 'The Great Escape'.
I had never even HEARD of this movie. I am now obsessed. I need to watch it for myself- but now I can’t stop watching the react!!!
Also keep giving Tara my well wishes on feeling better!!! She is such a delight- I hope this horrible virus doesn’t ruin her life. After almost 3 years I am getting my life better managed with long covid. 🖤🖤
The television show from the 60's starred Robert Vaughn and David McCallum.
There were a few other 'international spy' tv shows back then due to the popularity of the *James Bond franchise:*
*I Spy,* starring Robert Culp and Bill Cosby (yep.),
*The Avengers,* British program starring Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg,
*Get Smart,* a comedy starring Don Adams and Barbara Felton (created by Mel Brooks & Buck Henry)
*The Prisoner,* starring Patrick McGoohan.
Speaking of guy ritchie and Henry cavill, Greg you should definitely check out the trailer to “The ministry of ungentlemanly warfare” it’s got a pretty stacked cast aswell!
Great reaction. I was 13 y/o & loved this old TV show back in the 60's. This film was excellent, & it gave the back story of how the UNCLE was formed. The TV show already had the Russian/American/English spies working together. The UNCLE TV series (1964) was 2 years before the Mission Impossible TV series (1966). As to why this film didn't click for a franchise I don't have a clue. All three actors were wonderful in this film & I loved the movie.
As good as Henry Cavill was as Superman and the Witcher, I think he really shines as Napoleon Solo. The role really let him showcase his comedic talent and sense of timing. I really hope they make a second.
As for The Gentlemen, it is absolutely brilliant. Guy Ritchie crafts another stellar story, and while all of the cast are amazing, I think this is one of Hugh Grant's best performances. And Colin Farrell as the coach is fantastic too. I'm really curious to see if The Gentlemen series that is coming out can hold up to the source of its inspiration.
First time seeing this thanks to you guys. It was so exciting. Great film and talented actors and camera work. Let's hope for a sequel and who knows, I could see ryan gosling in army hammers place
I'm here for this Guy Ritchie journey
You guys are in for a treat!!!
This brings to mind a great scene in the NCIS TV series. An agent says to Jethro, "I wonder what Ducky (David McCallum) looked like when he was younger." And Jethro responds, "Illya Kuryakin." Love it! 😎
It is not just the actors/acting, it is the casting. They were cast because they were able to bring the original characters from the TV show back to life. The cinematography is also reminiscent of the show, especially the split screen shots where they show the different characters in different scenes simultaneously.
Guy Ritchie is one of my favourite directors. This film cemented that
Loved the CVs at the end of the film revealing more about the characters which teased the potential sequel
Too bad it didn’t do so well at the box office so we could had a sequel. Be difficult now with the trouble Hammer got into
I know he had an affair with his accuser, but Gloria Allred (famous for taking cases that protect women's rights) dropped her as a client.
That happened after she refused to sign a formal declaration under penalty of perjury if falsified. While Allred wouldn't speak on the specifics of the matter the chronological sequence of those events speaks volumes. She thought her client was lying and dropped her as a client.
Hammer was canceled, but every indication is that while he, admittedly, engaged in BDSM sex it was consensual. The police could find no evidence of his having committed a crime, while ample evidence of the online "evidence" being falsified has been uncovered.
His biggest mistake, in short, was sticking his dick in crazy.
Disney waited until a conviction was secured before dropping Jonathan Majors, but at the beginning of the Me Too movement neither the public nor the studios felt the need to do that. Hammer could rehabilitate his image, if he chose, but it'd be an uphill battle because no one will make a massive story out of "There is no evidence he did anything illegal " the way they did "He is accused of rape and threatening cannibalism. "
Absolutely agree with many people. This movie was criminally underrated. Deserved a number of sequels.
such a fun movie, it definitely deserved a sequel.
I really enjoy this movie. I used to watch the 1960's TV show. It was very cool. The movie captures the spirit of the TV show perfectly. And I agree Henry Cavill is the stand out but they do have chemistry all three together. It makes me want to watch the tv show.😁
Yes I’m so glad you reacted to this movie. I absolutely love it
One of my favorite movies ever so criminally underrated
This movie has got to be in my top 25 movies of all time! Love everything about this!
At the time this came out, I knew Arnie Hammer as the Lone Ranger, and of course this was at the time BvS. So it was funny that The Lone Ranger was calling Henry, Cowboy. And Henry called him Red Peril.
You have to react to the trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
Cavill with the most lowkey amazing comedic performance in the history of cinema.
26:20 "thats a fair po...thats not a fair point... okay"
What did bro mean by this lol 😂😂
Thanks Greg you just reminded me of what this reminded me of Doctor No because of the time period and how everything looks. It reminds me of Dr. No. Also, the man from uncle TV show was supposed to be a TV version of James Bond for us in the US
Snatch and The Gentlemen are two brilliant Guy Ritchie movies. @ReelRejects
underrated movie...it's sad that it got a limited release...it's a guy richie movie and they kind of did them dirty...it could have even had a part 2 movie...
amazing reaction 😀 you guys have to watch "The Gentlemen" next, is sooooo good
13:31 Elizabeth Debicki, she now played Princess Diana in The Crown
"we need the sequel" iv been waiting for this for almost 10 years
I love how strong of a character the music is in this film.
Next Guy Ritchie reaction should be between these three options for ones you haven't seen: Revolver (2005/Jason Statham) if you want classic Ritchie, and then two 2023 released films in Operation Fortune (Jason Statham/Josh Hartnett) which is a very funny more up to date Ritchie film & The Covenant (Jake Gyllenhaal) which is a very powerful war/thriller/drama themed around many true stories.
Lastly your reaction film series watch should be finished off with The Gentlemen (2019) since that is the best left by critics and fans.
This movie is soooo underrated. I think one of the problems was when it came out NO ONE KNEW ABOUT IT. Which is sad, so good
The projectionist in the beginning of the film was actually played by David Beckham.
If he wont play james bond, i think Henry cavill would be perfect to play captain Britain in the mcu and guy ritchie should direct it.
7:00 fun fact, the person that's changing the images is David Beckham
If you haven't seen The Nice Guys, I highly suggest it. It perfectly showcased Ryan Gosling's comedic side.
you should also see LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARREL
Google says this about a sequel:
Will there be a 2nd man from Uncle movie?
Summary. The long-awaited sequel for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is reportedly in the works with Guy Ritchie as director and Henry Cavill returning. Armie Hammer's sexual assault allegations may lead to the recasting of his character for The Man From U.N.C.L.E
But he was cleared of those charges two years ago.
I love this movie, such feel good one!
I know some of you have watched Snatch and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, but if some of you haven’t I hope there will be another reaction.
Finally! I’ve been asking you guys to react to this for years 😂 Pls watch The Gentlemen! It’s so freaking good!
Maya in Choctaw means 'two or more to be or exist'
Chafa means family
Lowak we speal Lauak, it means fire
Tuklo is the number 2
Taloa is song or to sing.
Chahta sia hoke!
As someone who grew up watching the original series, I was cautiously optimistic going to see this. I wasn't overjoyed by it, but not disappointed either. No one can duplicate David McCallum, but Armie Hammer does a decent job. Somehow, the chemistry is a but off (for me, at least), but they tried to do it justice.
Another underrated film that deserves a sequel is 'The A-Team'. That one i really did like.
the gentlemen is amazing as well
