*Listen.*
I found this after the game was nominated for a Steam Award for "Best Soundtrack". I thought, _Hey, maybe I should actually do the right thing and listen to each nominee._
That ultimately led me to this song. And immediately I want to say that in 34 years of video gaming, *this may be one of the best tunes from a game I have ever heard.*
Needless to say, Mr. Baranowsky, I voted for you.
Wow! That shopkeeper can effortlessly switch between infrasound and ultrasound!
After completing the first stage of Zone 4 for the first time, nobody was Prepared for this sudden Tempo change...
Just complete Stage 2... That's sudden tempo change
Honestly I think the worst temple change I’ve experienced is 3-2 to 3-3
Is that a slugcat pfp?
Tohf floor 8
2:11 - 2:25
Literal chills. What a masterpiece.
1:59 that feeling when you survived to a hord of monsters which could kill you at every moment, then you can finish the level but you wait the music ends because it's too awesome
microice75 That's exactly what I'm doing LOL
microice75 I allways find something to do just to listen to the music i don't give a fuk if i'm gona lose my multiplyer !
except you are playing aria or bolt
KILLED BY: MISSEDBEAT
1-3 and 4-3 are easily the two shining poster children of Crypt's OST, but holy shit! 4-2 has such a great melody with so much texture underneath! It's easily another S+ tier in terms of music, especially when I hear something new after listening to it for the 1000th (probably accurate) time
So is 5-3, which is used in the Amplified intro cutscene
I love how sad and gloomy the intro sounds, as if you know you're in for a rough night.
What a horrible night for a curse.
But then you got the overclock remix... which is better imo
@@lazernor Babylon moment.
It's like if old flash game music actually progressed as the song went on, and it's beautiful
Hearing this song while playing as Aria (Or at least the rock version of it) means that you've grown to her mechanics.
You're still gonna get your ass kicked though.
+Darkus982 Grown to them for 1 nanosecond.

YES I DID IT!! I GOT PAST LEVEL ON-ded
The most grueling part of Aria's 4-2 is that the drums in the beginning aren't lined up with the first note of each measure. I've died an embarassing amount of times to that.
Played Aria roughly a hundred times, but I only managed to get to 4-2 twice.
But can't you just wait until after that part? You don't HAVE to move on the first beat, you know.
This really reminds me of Dialga's fight to the finish from Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. Especially at 0:14-0:18
0:00-0:19 styx and stones 0:34-0:39 fungal funk 1:16 styx snd stones again
0:36-0:47 My favourte part
Did anyone else Notice that this and Styx and Stones share the same Notes? That's pretty Interesting.
That's just because he composed both in the same scale. Nothing interesting right there.
@@ratlinggull2223 not to be obnoxious but 4-1 starts on E, this one starts on Eb.
Plus it has a bit of fungal funk at 0:34
@@popg21-the-epic51 Neat. Lots of references to go around. ^^
1:16 is really similar to a part in Styx and Stones
The unofficial theme song for forum thread necros.
I'm trying to break that habit lol
Dammit I've done it again
@@DrinkingDeuterium you are not the only one with such powers.

145 BPM, everyone
Reminds me of Betus Blues from Super Meat Boy.
Well that explains it, Danny Baranowsky, he also composed music in Super Meat Boy, along with The original Binding of Isaac.
yup, I noticed that to. then I went “hmm.. maybe someone said something about Betus Blues in the comments”... I was not disappointed
Reminds me of Dr. Fetus' Castle. A lot.
@@Mario2980 I prefer the original ost over Rebirth's
this is what I play every time when I'm in the shower
For some reason the first time when i listen to this song i remember the bad ice cream ost 🤔
This sounds pretty similar to the last stage of Super Meat Boy
Fussel Knolle Both soundtracks were made by the same guy
I don't know why, but I strongly associate this section of the track (1:15 to 1:30) with the Contra music (NES). Idk.
1:16 - 1:29 favorite part😁
Actually sounds like a heart. huh.
getting meat boy vibes...definetly
