I love how this song sounds like what our character feels when he meets Chaser.
The Otherworldly sounds at the beginning really sell Chaser's betrayal
and then the guitar comes in and it becomes a "you're going to down Chaser" kinda feeling.
"A god, manufactured" is such a cool fucking name really sells the idea that Chaser is just another step for the prophets plans manufactured by them.
Nakti you truly are one of the best out there, the wait was 100% worth it
What I find really interesting is that the ending sequence theme will be named "Synthetic Deicide" which just refers to killing an artificial god
I really like how the music really emphasizes how crazy he is and how far he's willing to go to become a god with all the depths themes playing somewhere.

deepwoken is a game made on roblox, basically an mmo rpg with roguelike/permadeath elements. this is the theme for a blood and fire themed boss called chaser, and the flesh construct is an illustration of a specific npc/enemy type you encounter in the hellish tundra dimension that you fight chaser at the end of
and also the flesh construct enemy might also be the strongest non-boss enemy for all i care...

There's this weird effect where you listen to the tracks for the first time, think its alright or good, and you listen to it a second time a while later and its the best thing to grace your ears.
I first thought “meh insomnia isn’t that good” and then listened to it twice and found it more hype than any song ever heard before at that point

this theme is great because its at a level where I can still hear his audio queues but still feel hype, I also really like the little bits of kyrie and the base beat being essentially ethirons theme. This is a great song and all my worries of it drowning out his audio queues are gone.

This theme feels different than any other OST in the game, it gives me that distorted and weird vibes from the Eternal Gale, i can tell that it's pretty similar to INSOMNIA, and the constant Lacrimosa Dies Illa beat that reminds you that even after all thats happening, your LIFE is in danger. It was worth the wait for that theme nak, excited for Ethiron theme!
I absolutely love the addition of the guitar in the second half. It really adds to the intensity.

This is nothing shy of amazing, perfect even! I legit cannot get over the drum kick of this song. It just suddenly kicks in, and delves ever deeper into the orchestrated chaos that this song is.
P.S. I hear that Oscillation Motif and Lacrimosa Dies Illa chanting, and it makes me soar to the skies and back every time I hear it. You've truly outdone yourself this time, Naktigonis!
Some honest feedback, Chaser's Theme is definitely a Top 10 OST in the game, that's for sure, but as for an "intense fight" theme I feel like it just doesn't have much oomph in the theme, which almost all other intense tracks are also missing (asides INSOMNIA, which is a big part of what makes it so good). You should probably consider re-mixing/ amping up your snares in future tracks as they're really low in the mix on a lot of songs which makes them feel a lot less impactful.
Keep up the good work though! Atmospherically, this track pretty much nails it. And as I mentioned, I still think this is a Top 10 OST in Deep.
thank you! i admit, this track was a bit of a nightmare in terms of mixing due to a variety of reasons, especially in the percussion section. in my infinite wisdom (/s) i decided to use three different percussion sets, and on top of that, the lack of consolidation on the project meant that my poor laptop from 2018 was absolutely chugging and crackling during playback. hopefully a new computer will solve the latter issue...
but yes, i think you're right, there *is* a lack of punchiness here, as well as some of my other tracks. mixing and mastering have been my weak points since day 1, really - a shortcoming of being self-taught i guess. i should really get a book or two on industry-level production, or maybe attend a course, or something - been meaning to for a while now!

I do love the track and I agree with the amping the snares but sometimes the more dampened sounds adds to the beauty of the song. You don't want the sound to "drown" out of the audio queues of chaser as well. Great track, you've been dropping some great music recently so I don't blame you for a the song having some mixing issues. @@naktigonis

It's been about 2 months since this tracks release, but I just wanna say, as a bit of a music nerd, I loved listening out for all the little motifs when this track dropped. Love the music, Nakti, can't wait to see what you have cooking for Conquest
The fact that you are coming back to do an already amazing thing even more justice is so great. you made a masterpiece out of the original layer 2 themes, each really showing the environment, floor 1 chaotic and creepy, and floor 2 the sleeping city that has yet to awake from a complete disaster.
ethiron himself was not given his own theme, but I find this one super awesone in the first place, so I can only imagine what you make for ethiron.

It's really clever from Naktigonis that the Chaser's theme is more depths like, rather than from Eternal Gale. In lore Chaser is a double agent sent by Ministry, to prevent people from hurting Ethiron in some way. As a way or another excuse for drowned gods to make them gods too. Through out almost all of the song, there was those drum beat from Lacrimosa Dies Illa. A combat music of Layer 1, saying he's a Ministry member and is seeking power from depths. There even is the latin "Dies irae" and "Dies illa" near the end. The dedication to Deepwoken's music and lore is beyond normal comprehension. Wonderful job!

Always wondered, do you have any intention of ever recording lyrics for some of the songs in game? Specifically for the music the player can access via the instruments, since they all already have written lyrics to my knowledge. It'd just be really cool if, when there were enough people playing a specific song in a group, they could be given the option to actually sing the song itself. I just feel like the song lyrics need a lot more love sometimes. Like, I know the Gideshu march has a version with lyrics, but that's for the original version, and I don't think it's actually in the game.

A chaotic ost, just like insomnia, which shows how unnatural and chaotic Layer 2 is, yet with some clean and nice melody, as youre fighting someone who clearly somewhat understands how Layer 2 works. A bit cheerful at some parts cause for Chaser fighting you is just a goof, knowing that if you kill him, he will just go back in time as many times as he want, or, well, not want. But you wont.
