Defaulting to singing like a younger drunken Deckard Cane is NOTHING to be ashamed of, it's hilarious! I love each little sing songy bit and every silliness that's mildly close to Deckard or Zap is awesome! Ooh and the cliche Canadian too!
Singing is one of those hiccups for me still. I was awful at it years back, every note was a nasally F-flat. Years of vocal training really helped, but I still get nervous when there's an audience lol
I've been holding off watching these episodes until the next long video comes out, but I can't resist the temptation. This is such a fun series, and it's super relaxing to watch.
34:30 While it's just a starter setup you totally have room for a Clutch and Gearbox, so many people neglect this combo and it saves so much sanity... no ting ting ting ting ting if you aren't actively using the Helve Hammer. Lol.
I'll for sure have a clutch in the full setup, but since I'll have to make it anyway, having it for the temporary workshop couldn't hurt! Until I install one, though, I can always just move the anvil out of the way when I'm done. :)
Hey Sol, I was in the pre-16 stream and was the guy who'd ask if you'd do part of "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Dylan Thomas in honor of my grandfather on the next #solsayswhat I'll love the video either way! Can't wait to see the full castle build if the gate looks so good
Hey! If it's in honor of your grandfather then I'll give the reading a proper, non-silly-voice rendition. :) Also, thank you, I can't wait to see how the rest of the castle turns out as well!
I like to see the thinking process for building also the removing of blocks and starting over. I like Timelapse’s but I don’t like when some UA-camrs just do Timelapse’s over and over again and suddenly they’ve built a planet in 5 mins. I like watching the process in real time. Thanks for the entertainment.
And thank you for watching! Part of why I love Vintage Story is because with any larger project there's so much else going on during the endeavor that it can't be slapped together in minutes. The process and misadventures along the way become, well, the story of how it all came together!
Time always feels like it's on fast forward once August hits, and then slows to a crawl under the cover of winter. Hopefully we get that last round of cabbage before the frost hits!
Ps.. there is a Gold/Silver Leaf Lining mod for Lanterns, it must be added when crafting the lanterns but it saves a TON of gold/silver and is more realistic. Also Tree Tappers is AMAZING for resin, it makes the whole process far more realistic and produces much more yet not too much. It's perfect to accompany the latest "Pitch Glue" system that was added recently. I highly recommend both, both are fantastic QoL / Realism esk mods. There's also Mushroomz that adds some new mushrooms, mushroom pies, some additional "farmable" plants (some on and some off farmland), and finally Mushroom Substrate which allows you to FARM mushrooms at home rather than relying on foraging and pathetic numbers.
I was already planning on adding tree tappers, but I'll definitely look into the leaf lining and mushroom mods. I think I'll be less likely to add the mushroom mod since we've already loaded up on tons of vegetables (unless there's higher satiation shrooms involved!)
It took a bit longer to get uploaded than I expected, but it's here! Been having a heatwave here that's left me craving a nap after work when I wanted to be editing lol
Thank you! Lots of chilling out in this episode for sure. For the first half I was boiling alive before I put our AC in to combat the heat wave we've got going on here right now!
More livestreams it shall be! I'll try to schedule upcoming streams with as much notice as I can, but there's bound to be a good few that'll pop up as a surprise!
Hey! Solstin! I wanted to leave a comment in hopes you'd see it, I've had some problems recently and hadnt been able to watch your videos. Ive been having some hard times so ive been missing out, And i hope everything is going well for your videos! I plan to rewatch from when i last watched your videos, so i can get caught up, have a nice day okay? :D
13:33 ish... that "All" in "All Right..." as your voice cracked sounded VERY close to a Trader or Player making noises... very horn sounding, I was very confused lol!
Haha sounds like one of the Between the Episodes streams might have to be dedicated to organizing all the chests! Then I might be able to find things without having to open every single trunk in the kitchen!
The rifts spawn randomly in dark areas and have a pretty wide radius where they can spawn drifters, so the best defense is lighting up areas to stop rifts in the first place! Most of the drifters that have ended up in the house I'm sure have been from rifts nearby outside.
@@Solstin That joke was so good I didn't wanna ruin it with a real guess, but iirc, the same place you placed a lantern by the front door was the same place you had hay stacks way back, that allowed the locals to jump up and clip in thru the windows. Not sure if that was a temporary glitch thing but it could be it. Great video.
@@Solstin I hope that's it, I couldn't stand the image of you asking the kitchen chickens pointed questions about loyalty, while you just happen to be sharpening an axe.
That was purely an aesthetic choice! I like the slightly frosted or foggy look to the clear quartz glass in the lanterns for most scenarios. When I'm eventually making lanterns for fancy noble estates or inside the castle, those will likely have clear glass since they would have been kept cleaner in those spaces.
I’ll have to make one and check out that detail tonight. I can tell the difference when using clear quartz for windows but had not noticed on lanterns. Thanks!
my other comment got stuck in the void for some reason but as always really enjoyed this it was so chill!! would you ever consider having a separate server with channel members who have the game? i dont believe they are terribly expensive. absolutely understandable if not, but was curious, since its a small enough community that i think it could work
I'm open to the idea, I would want to make sure I've got moderators in place first to help act as server admins since I wouldn't always be around! Whitelisted server, for sure, in the interest of player safety. I'll look into it and maybe give things a trial run! I can't see anyone in this community causing problems, but the safety and enjoyment of anyone who would be on the server would always be a main priority.
There's the Joy of Sailing mod for now that lets you build a small boat that's faster than the raft, but when 1.20 is released there's going to be longboats with multiple spots to put chests and seating as well as elk mounts!
I'd have to do a bit of digging to find appropriate mods for a scenario like that, but I'll consider it for the future either after the Eisenholm series is concluded, or if I manage to find the time one day to have more than one series running!
I've seen a couple videos about it and it's looking pretty cool! I'll want to give it a shot at some point when it's a little further along in development, from what I've seen there's still a lot of crashes at this point.

One day I'll have an actual upload schedule lol

No problem friend!
I've been holding off watching these episodes until the next long video comes out, but I can't resist the temptation. This is such a fun series, and it's super relaxing to watch.
The best part is that the long-form compilation still makes for good background noise even after having watched the individual episodes! :P
A new episode, just what the doctor ordered after a long day at work
This one is a bit more relaxed of an episode, so hopefully a good way to unwind!

Looking good, Solstin. I need to get more lanterns for my builds. Just hard to find the motivation when I’ve been really lucky with torch holders.
Depending on the build, torch holders can look just as good, if not better! It all comes down to the aesthetic you're going for. :)
Always a good day when Solstin puts out a new Eisenholm video!
