My gfs younger sister is 4 and she gets so into her imagination, she once pretended to go through law school and an entire career as a lawyer before going up against her college rival in her biggest case: Sebastian the Snail v Princess Porcupine, the Case of the Missing Toilet Paper and Mysterious Potato - in her room for 1 day. We peeked in later after her big win and she was celebrating with her other stuffed animals, passing around “toast” with *real* jam. She even dressed up in a makeshift suit to look the part. Poor girl put herself through so much stress to prove that Sebastian the Snail did break into Princess Porcupines house and switch her Toilet Paper with a Potato.
I’ll never forget hearing her shout “POTATO! POTATO! POTATO!” From her bedroom with no context 😂😂😂

i had a rough childhood. i love watching your shorts to remind me of how good teachers can be. it was my third grade teacher that made sure she took me to the eye doctor and she wept when they showed her how terrible my vision was. it took a techer like you to see me and make sure i could see.

You can get cool frames at yard sales and second hand stores. You can also find blue light frames online these days if you're wearing them for looks (no judgment here). I've also heard of people on TV who wear frames without lenses to avoid glare from all the lights. Guess that could work.

I always had horrible teachers and my 3rd grade teacher was no exception. I ended up needing glasses and the first day of wearing them she decides to pick on me and call me “Four eyes”. That bitty wore glasses too so I’m not sure what she was trying to achieve. After that I felt so self-conscious about them that I continued to just squint to see the board. Teachers don’t realize how their words can make or break a child, but it warms my heart to see these videos. I hope the students realize how absolutely blessed they are. 💜

Here is a little fun fact! If you have glasses, you may or may not see tan when looking at papers. For example, you went to the library and got a book and with your glasses on the pages look tan-ish but when you take them off they look white, you can also notice the tan when looking at the sky! Depending on the eye protection color like blue, pink, tan, black, or anything. They colors will seem different!

My vision wasn’t bad until 3rd grade (6 almost 7 years ago). My vision went blurry in class and then it went back to normal. It wasn’t until 5th grade I actually got glasses (my parents didn’t have the money to get me glasses, which is why I got them 2 years later). I have a stigmatism and I’m near-sighted. The thing that annoys me about them is that I constantly have to wear them (since it’s the only way I can see), and they always fall down, etc. As much as I love my glasses (I was told the glasses I have fit the frame of my face, so I pull them off really well since most people can’t), it’d be nice to actually not wear them everywhere for a change. I’ve had glasses for 4-5 years now. I always forgot I have them on, and I sometimes take them off so I can see the difference of how big something is compared to how I see it with my glasses.

My eyesight got worse when I was 11 and things got more blurry overtime and I got more headaches so my mom got me an eye appointment and now I need glasses full time lol. Apart from masks fogging them up they aren't that bad.

When I was 4, I wanted glasses really bad so I faked not being able to see info t of my mom then she took me to an eye doctor after a few weeks and it turned out that I had cataracts, I couldn't see far away, and my eye sight was just blurry up close to. I had to get multiple surgies and now I have to travel for 3 hours to get to my appointments, and 3 hours back, in one day that's a total of 6 hours to six and a half hours just for a 20-15 minute appointment I have 3 prescriptions inside my glasses I got the 3 prescriptions when I was 9 and I was in 4th grade teachers and students were saying I looked lik a 13 year old with them on-

I hope you can get contacts one day. They take some getting used to putting in and taking back out, but once you put them in you can forget they're there after a while. My eyes get pretty dry but I don't wear contacts often

Im a person that only wears glasses when i am looking at ny chromebook (at school) or looking at something far away.
With them on all the time i get a headache (i am severely nearsighted) but i also wear them when i have a headache because i was wearing them for a while.

I got braces in middle school, and was still figuring out how to move my lips around, without getting them stuck in the brackets.
I yawned in class, but opened my mouth extra wide (lip/bracket avoidance manoeuvring), and my teacher said "hey, you got braces!"
It is kind of amazing how much attention a good teacher pays to their students💜
I also saw my 5th grade teacher, in the bleachers of a football game when I was in high school. She hugged me, and asked how I had been, and was so excited to see me. There's no way she remembered my name, but she new I had been one of hers. She was amazing.

This was kinda me. People kept thinking I didn't wear glasses because I took them off often, but it was actually because I needed them to see things far away and I found them them annoying to wear when doing things like reading the textbook or playing video games (I primarily play handheld GBA/SP/DS/VITA/3DS/SWITCH LITE because I never really say down in front of the tv except to watch said tv)

As someone who wears glasses it does not cost 200+ to get them fixed depending on what has been broken if you break the lenses that is gonna be a bit pricey but if a screw comes out it’s an easy fix sometimes you can even fix them at home yourself with a kit it’s rare to break your lenses because usually people are careful with them since their so expensive but it really will never cost 200+ unless you are buying new glasses/getting a new prescription

As someone who wears glasses I find it offensive for people to wear fake glasses and act like there real, my eye problems cause headaches, migraines, feeling Nauseous, dizzy, and it hurts really bad when I don’t wear them for too long, and I get constant eye infections and muscle strain..

I relate to this so much, because I’m far sighted so I needed glasses for work since I would always bring my face close to the tv/computer/my homework. And after a week of using then, I was like: “K, I’m done using this, I’m never wearing these ugly things ever again”

I use my glasses as a threat sometimes ngl, I have a very expensive prescription so they cost well over 200 usd, so whenever someone knocks them out of my had I scream that if they broke them they would have to pay for them. I do this with everything I have that I bring to school.

When you first get glasses (from someone who's had them for 6 years) people are always gonna say something to you when your not wearing them, like "y/n you need to where your glasses" and get on you for it and some say "maybe you should where your glasses?" I used to have the wrong thing for them and my teachers would always say that I need to where them even though I said "they aren't working" or "they make my eyes hurt" they would still make me where them till I got on the bus.
