Hi! the delay, protections and relay mode is for an optional relay protection disconnect for when your battery or battery bank is low voltage or low power capacity. it is an additional relay breaker that it is sold separately. The delay is for when you draw power in a peak load, your battery ( this case 12v) can be drawn below the 12v briefly, if you donde set a delay for that peak, the system will be shut down because a under voltage peak load.
Thank you good to know, I will be using this shunt for a new project but seeing as my lithium has BMS with low battery shutdown I may not use this feature. I did contact Juctek about a low temp shutdown and they said they may add this to the next firmware. This will be good with lithium as it can stop any charging when temp is low
There is a relay setting for always on or always off. Could that possibly be controlling the signal being sent to the relay. I will check on this, but I am hoping it is an always on until it goes into protection mode, and the other is always off until going into protection mod, at which time it will send the signal to the relay.
Excellent video - Can you adjust in settings max battery size to reflect to the graph sides? Also because my van setup is under the bed and hard to access i fitted a remote earth on off solenoid and relay im guessing and also wondering if the relay could be hooked into the positive wire of that switching device - that switch would be handy for a bouse berg car key theft too - turn the battery off before they get in car with the remote?
I have installed several of these but today I needed put the battery further from the display. It works with the supplied data cable but when I used a locally purchased 5 meter RJ11 cable the display does not work. Has anyone successfully used a longer cable and can you advise?
Not sure as i do not have a good calebrated meter. They all drifd a bit. My oyher one does. We charge battery to 100% and reset it every few months so it is more accurate
Hello, I just got this device (the 2023 model) Is there someone who can make a video or send me info on how to install a relay to protect my solar system with Lipo4 batt. What kind of relay (12V array, with 300Ah 12V Lithium battery bank), and how to connect. Thanks in advance.
Have you tried pairing it with the monitor connecter. I used the Huwaei P30 which connected ok with no issues. Maybe try restarting the phone and shunt control box see if this helps. If not I would contact there tech department, I found they were very helpful
@@BrackstonesTravelAdventures It turns out that you need to keep the Location settings for the app kept on for the Bluetooth to work. I had automatically turned them (and the access to Storage) off when I installed the app, as I didn't think it was necessary. It still runs with the Storage access denied!
I just got a telephone cable with the coupler at the end. This comms wire is narrower than the phone jack... but the pins line up. Had to file down the phone jack to fit inthe unit sadly. Will order a proper adapter to crimp properly
No because there is only one shunt. you would need a separate shunt for the starter battery. You could install a shunt on each battery with control box for each battery. You would then be able to Bluetooth to each device separately through the one app.

great video!
Hello, how the over protection shut down the relevant factor ?
I have installed several of these but today I needed put the battery further from the display. It works with the supplied data cable but when I used a locally purchased 5 meter RJ11 cable the display does not work. Has anyone successfully used a longer cable and can you advise?
très bien Merci
Merci
what is the accuracy of current if below 1A?

Do you know of a shorter cable that will work from the main display to the controller box. I need a 3 foot cable.
I dont but im sure it can be made easily if you source the parts on ebay

Is it possible to run the app with the metering unit, while the display is disconnected?
I did not test this I believe it can be. Will try later in the week.
I'm also very interested in just running the app, without the display.
But I'm having difficulty pairing it to my (Huawei Android) phone.

It works with the app and the display unplugged. I bought it is a great unit.
Can the data cable be extended?

Does anyone know if there's a way to shut the display off when not needed?
The screen can be turned on or off by long pressing the key.
Steve,, far to complicated for me to understand. Keep going though. Just watched the gas valve one. Ordering tomorrow, I understood that one😂
Nice one thanks. Gas valve very good for checking leaks which is only thing I use it for.
Can you measure two battery banks with this, i.e. home and starter
No because there is only one shunt. you would need a separate shunt for the starter battery. You could install a shunt on each battery with control box for each battery. You would then be able to Bluetooth to each device separately through the one app.
If your two battery packs are connected in parallel or in series, they can be measured together. If not, he can only measure one set of batteries
