First of all excellent videos. Can't get enough of them. I used to go with my dad once in a while when he drove. I enjoyed the scenery a lot but the light shows at night on the trucks were best. Keep up the good work (driving and videos) and be safe out there.
Great one Jack loved it except for one thing. You asked if we wanted to go in that truck stop. Then you left us in the truck,,,,,I wanted to go in. You could've at least brought me a pop back. I'm a big fan of yours Jack thank you for all the great footage.
As a casual observer, I always thought that the trailers went everywhere with the truck as one owned unit. Now I know. Thanks for all these great video's.
ty Jack for another great video glad u missed the most of that bad snow storm was you stuck on the turnpike where all those trucks crashed in the storm keep up the good work ty
Great idea with the C Clamp. A tip to help prevent wear on the glad hand seals. It may be gross but for years I have been spitting on the seal before I attach the glad hand. This little bit of saliva helps lubricate the seals when connecting them which allows less abrasion. I realize that you drop and hook a lot so it may not help with the trailer side of the seals but it will help save the tractor ones. Keep up the good work.
some of the "slickest" video editing you've done to date; "nice"..... b'n following your efforts since your beginning, always "a treat". Thanks for following (& sharing) your passions.
Another great film. I enjoy the highway shots and seeing the stops along the way. I've noticed a few videos where they don't show any driving or much of anything else. Like ya said, "utube police". Thanks Jack
I remember I-55 between I-10 and Memphis as one of the roughest riding roads anywhere. I hurt back even in my air seat. I hope your ride is a little smoother these days.
Great vid as usual! Nice to see what America is like compared to the UK. In the Wales no one really "stops" at a stop sign, if we see its clear we just go! Especially in the night.
A personal opinion; I must say this is probably not just your best, but THE best truckin' video I've seen so far! And I've seen many... Great quality/editing/footage, as is quite normal for you. However! With this one you out did yourself! Thanks a bunch Indiana Jack! Awesome job especially the time spent on hooking up and sliding your axles of the trailer as well as the backing up footage! A+++++ Great job and thank you for all the extra time you spend making these types of video's!!!
New Subscriber! Love your videos, especially anything around the Chicago area! I respect the demanding job that truckers have to do to get us our supplies! Thanks, Jack!
Nice ride Jack. Thank you for sharing once again. Pretty slick backing sir! You seemed to be rested and in a more upbeat mood on this trip. Looking forward to the next adventure. Safe travels sir.
Jack another enjoyable video. Thanks, already looking forward to the next one.Side note-at the 10:42 mark give or take you have the I-57 symbol on the screen and at the same time you pass mile marker 29 on I-55.I'm guessing in either Ark or Mo.I just thought I would point this out.safe travels Dan in West Bloomfield,Mi
Mr. Jack, that's the second time I've noticed you raising or lowering the legs on the trailer and it sounds and looks like it's using a motor to do it. Is that the case? If not, they should design a trailer with an electric motor to raise and lower the legs!
I always start my day watching you're videos I love how u talk and drive. did you know that my dad(step dad ) drives trucks too. in geroriga. when I grow up I want to drive trucks and drive to different places.
I did the Movie Battle Los Angeles there for over 6 months 2009 and was at that pilot a lot it's really small, I was always curious how any of those trucks even got a spot there, because every time I was there it was full.
Nice to see I 57. I travel that road a lot in my motorhome. Just got back home to Aurora, IL after a trip to Mississippi. My parent's home. is in NE Mississippi. (Lost them both last year) Since I'm retired I spend a lot of time at there at Tishomingo State Park. I've stopped at that Pilot/Road Ranger before. On my way down I fill up the tank before I leave and travel Rt 47 to Forrest then east on Rt 24 to I 57. I stop at the pilot in Gilman and fill up again and if I don't encounter a heavy head wind I can make it to Boomland in Charleston Missouri where I spend the night. The RV park there isn't anything special but for $12 a night for full hookups you can't complain. I pull my Jeep Liberty behind 31 ft. Class C. It's hard to find I place I can get in and fuel up. I have a gas engine. I like watching your videos when you pull into a station. I try and see if I could get in and out. I've never had a reason to stop there in Ina IL but it looks like a go. Best of Luck.
Hey Jack, I delivered the Herald Examiner on my bike when I was a kid. I did my route in the afternoon during the week days and morning delivery on Saturday and Sunday. I hated Sunday because all the adds made the paper really thick. Those days are gone you won't see kids doing that anymore.
Why I keep a ton of glad hand runners in drivers door. Remember when idling all night set it to 1000 to 1100 rpms this will keep your engine temperature up and the dpf cleaner
Hey Jack Your Back ! :) Happy New Year ! Somebody said You were Dead :(:( Sure Miss Your Videos , couple other guys making them but there Hacks ! Plus they can't back up there Rigs and they GRIND there gears :( Please make MORE Videos We Love em !
Jack -- one point of contention in this video; as soon as your GPS said US 36, I knew that was Tuscola, not Champaign. There is a small truck stop at Exit 240 on the north side of Champaign; room for about 20 trucks at the most...
Hey Jack, the last video I watched you were having engine trouble. I never saw any news as to what happened to your engine and what had to be done to fix it. Can you give me an update? I love your videos..God Bless.
excuse my ignorance on trucks... but when you sleep in a cold environment like that is there some kind of heating you're able to keep on all night without using up all your gas?
+Trans Canada Phil Yes, some trucks have a bunk heater (still runs off diesel but uses way less than the engine would I believe) My truck has one but sometimes when it's really cold it's just best to run the truck to avoid some of the hoses and lines freezing up.
I have a question for you Jack is automatic better than stick. I have drivers that come into the scalehouse that have automatics they say they are not very good, what is your opinion.
Great Swedish food and cheap lodging with laundry facilities, clean Swedish owned just north of Schaumburg if you are ever up near Elgin, Rockford. Salmon potatoes fish pancakes lutefisk too
Yeah, hitchhiking, something we used to do back in the 60's in the midwest and east but learned not to do by the late 70's. Usually to avoid all the death kill death potential scenarios. Sorry about that thinking but a smart move.
2:35 huge fan

Great c-clamp idea Jack. You do the best truck video's on UA-cam, keep um coming and be safe out there.
I remember I-55 between I-10 and Memphis as one of the roughest riding roads anywhere. I hurt back even in my air seat. I hope your ride is a little smoother these days.

Great video. Great opening sequence. Your editing keeps getting better.
Great video and wonderful hints for the C clamps. I presently live in the New Orleans area and Zachary is not far from me.
Another great video, keep them coming.

hey trucker your the best trucker of the year
On in Savannah Georgia only holds 3 trucks and only has 4 lines to fill up, and you can’t move forward
Not nice having to backup from the fuel island there!
Nice to see I 57. I travel that road a lot in my motorhome. Just got back home to Aurora, IL after a trip to Mississippi. My parent's home. is in NE Mississippi. Jack, Did you get a chance to go to the Ikea store in Schaumburg. They have good Swedish lunches & dinners there.
I have been to other Ikea's and have had their Swedish food but not the one in Schaumburg.
Denam Springs looks to have just short of 50 truck spaces, and Minooka looks to have just over 80.
Minooka gets named packed at night well usually busy all day
Hey Jack, sounds like Red is running perfect. I try to avoid Illinois and their toll happy roads. Gotta take the loads where they are though, right?
Hey Jack, the last video I watched you were having engine trouble. I never saw any news as to what happened to your engine and what had to be done to fix it. Can you give me an update? I love your videos..God Bless.
Not sure if you said they were the two smallest or not? My vote would be the pilot in Denver CO on Steele street, now that's tiny..
you back up almost as good as those swift drivers :P
the pilot in Dubois PA is a really small truck stop. you have to exit from a dealership next door.
Great video, Thanks.
excuse my ignorance on trucks... but when you sleep in a cold environment like that is there some kind of heating you're able to keep on all night without using up all your gas?

Why do I see more Gray tractor SNI trucks pulling SNI trailers? I mean does the gray color mean something?
Just discovered you Sir ...
And subscribed of course !
Question : Where would you choose to live if not in California ? ?
love your videos! what kind of camera do you use to record the road?
I have a question for you Jack is automatic better than stick. I have drivers that come into the scalehouse that have automatics they say they are not very good, what is your opinion.
hey is there an volume transport down there???
Great Swedish food and cheap lodging with laundry facilities, clean Swedish owned just north of Schaumburg if you are ever up near Elgin, Rockford. Salmon potatoes fish pancakes lutefisk too

Yeah, hitchhiking, something we used to do back in the 60's in the midwest and east but learned not to do by the late 70's. Usually to avoid all the death kill death potential scenarios. Sorry about that thinking but a smart move.
