    With the extra stone weight, the chance of it blowing away in a high wind is reduced. Here in sw Florida, I've seen trampolines, playhouses, outdoor furniture go flying in the neighbors yard!

    Always remove the painters tape while the paint is still wet. This prevents paint from leaching under the tape and also from pulling paint off when dry.

      @s731s 5 років тому +5

      @@kiliipower355 I think she mentioned that this was her first time doing a creative project 🤗 and just to add to the original persons comment; yes it's TRUE to take off tape when wet but take it from someone who used to take forever when first learning to spray paint, and growing in experience in diy projects, (or simply because I wasnt in a rush and enjoying the process) I quickly learned that you dont always get back to it in time to pull off tape, as paint dries faster than we realize. And if you were streaky and need a 2nd coat for touch ups or fuller coverage, its tricky to wait until 1st coat dries an hour, re spry, THEN quickly remove, by then the first coat is already stuck.
      Just remove carefully and with a scraper/ruler/something to help you along. Sorry for long rant if anyone is still here jesus loves you 😅

      @@ThriftDiving its the white glue. Not school glue. More like wood glue. You can buy it per galon or per 250g bottles. Pattex is a brand that has it. But dont know what you got there stateside.

      Nice!! You might want to lightly rough it up with sandpaper and then use a separate primer. I didn’t because it would have cost me more money out of pocket, but it will help with making sure it doesn’t chip, especially once kids get their hands on it. :) Hope you have fun!

      Thank you! Because that WAS a lot of plastic and tape! Lol. I also used some of the stones that I had bought from a salvage shop over a year ago! I was happy to finally find a use for them!
