Hey is that 1/8 tape u put down to mark on cuz of the finish of the rod? Just had an issues like that an that’s an awesome idea

new rod builder and everything I have read you have to use the thread from rod building, but you said you were using thread from walmart. do you have to do something to the thread so it does not bleed into the epoxy

yes. You must use a coat of color preserver first, let dry completely. after that you can use epoxy with no bleed. I have had rod wrapping thread bleed too. That is why I always use color preserver. THANKS FOR WATCHING.
