The doll with the chewed fingers- it doesn't seem to be damaged too much, maybe you want to put the doll's hand in boiling water for a few minutes. This usually works for the plastic when it's just "dented" with teeth marks. Oh, but make sure you keep other parts out of the water and move the hand around without letting it touch the hot metal pot.
I simply collect the doll bodies that are still in ok condition and bundle them for a sale at a certain point because I have no use for them. I am not interested in older styled bodies. Therefore, I am happy to find used dolls with bad bodies or no bodies at all 🤣 But in case an item is still in good condition, I usually simply give it away. Nowadays, there are a lot of collectors who want to complete dolls. Not me... I like to mix old and new together and I love the fact that even older heads can be part of the new era of mobility for Barbie dolls^^
You can get rid of the glue in the doll's head. There is a spray called WD-40. You can find it at any hardware store. I don't know if it is sold in your country. But you spray the doll's hair and the inside of the head. Then you just shampoo the doll's hair and the glue is washed out.
WD-40 is available here, but the content is very different😅 Still a very good lubricant, though. I like to use it for guitar mechanisms. But the one you get here won't work for doll hair. But of course, thank you for the tip. You couldn't know that it is different here in Germany.
You're right. It is probably made around that time. For me, only mtm bodies are really interesting for collecting when it comes to Barbie. Therefore, I rehome everything that doesn't fit those bodies 😅
Hier gibt es auch keine Second Hand Läden mit Puppen, und auch nur selten Flohmärkte. Wenn dann wird dort hauptsächlich Kinderkleidung angeboten. Und der Großteil der Stände sind fliegende Händler. Berlin ist da wirklich gut aufgestellt, aber die Westfalen scheinen eher spaßbefreit zu sein. 🫣
Exakt das gleiche Spielchen hier! Wo lassen die Leute die Puppen? Vielleicht liegen diese einfach Jahre auf dem Speicher oder I'm Keller 😱... keinen Dunst. Ich komme aus NRW und man sollte meinen, bei der Masse an Menschen müssten die Geschäfte voll sein mit dem neusten Zeug... aber Pustekuchen! Bei den Trödelmärkten gibt es erschreckend viel Bekleidung (natürlich nicht für Puppen 🤣) und alles rund um Kleinkinder. Naja, eigentlich müsste es doch was von und für die Phase dazwischen geben 🤪

Da haben die Preise aber dann auch e-bay Standard. 🤔 Ich weiß das es gelegentlich solche Sammler Cons gibt, aber ich hab keine Ahnung wo so was angekündigt wird. Und wenn dann vermutlich nicht in NRW. 🤷♀️ Die Frage ist ob man hier genug Leute zusammen bekommt um so was selbst zu veranstalten.

Da wir in Deutschland nicht sonderlich modern sind heisst das bei Puppen wohl immer noch Sammlerbörse😉 Soweit ich weiß ist es reine Glücksache ob da mal ein Händler mit Barbs dabei ist oder nicht. Berlin ist natürlich eine ganz andere Welt 😆 Die Metropole hat mit dem Rest Deutschlands nicht viel gemeinsam, aber ich glaube das ist bei derartigen Großstädten normal 🙃 Ich wundere mich einfach warum es soviel mehr Angebote mit Cons und Co. für "boy toys" gibt. Vielleicht ist es bei uns immer noch verpöhnt Puppen zu sammeln... mit "spaßbefreit" hast du glaube ich schon generell den Nagel auf den Kopf getroffen 😅

The skirt looks like an 80s or 90s Barbie skirt. The waist is very small and made to fit the Barbie bodies of that time period.
