This is the first time I watched anime on big screen and I am glad it was Studio Ghibli film. It was totally worth it even though the story was something I struggled to piece together. My theater was luckily very quite and the sound design when there was no background sound ( walking, stairs etc) felt very soothing. The visuals were stunning too. All in all, a complete getaway from real life, while teaching us lessons for real life in a studio ghibli way.

I just watched this movie yesterday in theater and y first Ghibli movie experience was mesmerizing. Movie was so beautiful and even in I one I watch I almost remember every single screen of movie so animation was that beautiful.

@@shivamgusain5185 well he didn't like the western depiction/story telling on good vs evil ( LOTR), where good guys fight and defeat the bad guys ( who are just bad ). Miyazaki and studio ghibli movies generally don't portray anyone as outright evil. Miyazaki says no individual, no human being, no race is pure evil and shouldn't be shown like that, pointing towards the ORC race and Sauron in LOTR. Evil shouldn't be individualised according to Miyazaki, as every human or sentient being is morally grey. It's Miyazaki's opinion btw not mine

@@shivamgusain5185 well, James Cameron is also the best director when it comes to vfx, but avatar 2 did not have a good storyline and despite having outstanding visuals, whereas princess mononoke had handled the themes and philosophy in a much better way than avatar 2 did. I love LOTR. But I understand Miyazaki's thoughts on this.

Code Geass. Anime is good not Masterpiece, but the MC Lelouch is the greatest Anime Character and Most Popular(by like not well known) ever. Even character like Luffy, Light, L are not able to defeat Lelouch for most popular MC in MyAnimeList.

@@dagpag Bro to be very honest I have seen various studio ghibli films and for me it's a second flim of Hayao Miyazaki which I amwatching after Kiki's delivery service. Without spoiling, This flim is a an autobiography of Hayao Miyazaki in a folk lore form and I feel that this flim is very deep and it requires multiple watch to understand this flim. Definatly a theater watch for sure but since you said that you are preparing for JEE, so as a final year engineering student, I would recommend skip this flim and prepare for JEE first as this flim will come in digital in a month. Try to get a good college. All the best for exams 👍.
The boy and the heron is not a movie for everyone to understand,the spiritual messages it conveys,the living world, dead world and the middle world where the great granduncle existed.Kimi's family knowledge, the great granduncle's world creation to restore the force, the reference of heron becoz herons are meant to transfer souls from the living to the dead. It has a deep meaning many will find it boring,bt deeper you go for the synopsis, the more you realise how miyazaki is more than just the heatwarming knowledge and possess some secrer knowledge which is tryna bestow upon the world.
No please don't recommend it because it is trash except season 1 but manga is a masterpiece and wait until any famous studio announce to animate the manga again to anime.

@@dagpag Bro to be very honest I have seen various studio ghibli films and for me it's a second flim of Hayao Miyazaki which I amwatching after Kiki's delivery service. Without spoiling, This flim is a an autobiography of Hayao Miyazaki in a folk lore form and I feel that this flim is very deep and it requires multiple watch to understand this flim. Definatly a theater watch for sure but since you said that you are preparing for JEE, so as a final year engineering student, I would recommend skip this flim and prepare for JEE first as this flim will come in digital in a month. Try to get a good college. All the best for exams 👍.

The boy and the heron is not a movie for everyone to understand,the spiritual messages it conveys,the living world, dead world and the middle world where the great granduncle existed.Kimi's family knowledge, the great granduncle's world creation to restore the force, the reference of heron becoz herons are meant to transfer souls from the living to the dead. It has a deep meaning many will find it boring,bt deeper you go for the synopsis, the more you realise how miyazaki is more than just the heatwarming knowledge and possess some secrer knowledge which is tryna bestow upon the world.
