"Wha...you?!" she exclaims, flipping her helmet off to make sure she's not seeing things. She examines her surroundings in confusion. Only a fight could have caused this much destruction in her office in the Access Ark. "What in the world...and why are we on the edge of space? Come on, Susie, think..." she muses to herself. "The last thing I remember was heading to Popstar, but as soon as we passed the moon..." As if in a moment of realization, she disembarks from the wreckage. "Come on, pinky," she gestures for Kirby, starting for another room. "You, me, and the tapes, we're all going to have a little talk." A few moments later, in the Access Ark's surveillance center, Susie rewinds the recordings to three weeks earlier and presses play, sitting back in the president's hoverchair with a bowl of ice cream in her hand, while Kirby sits on the floor inhaling the contents of the nearby ice cream dispenser. He turns to see once the sound turns on, though - the two study the second screen from the left on the top row. _Susie was at her desk typing up a script for a speech for once she landed on Popstar, quite undisturbed from her task, until the entrance to her office suddenly opened up and in appeared a giant caped man, humming a little tune to himself._ _"Why, hello there," he made his presence known, and Susie looked up from her screen to see him. "I thought I saw a familiar flying object passing by this way. You must be the new president of the Haltmann Works Company."_ _"...yes, that would be me," Susie replied respectfully._ _"Hope I'm not interrupting anything important," the nightmarish wizard returned that respect._ _"Not at all," the promoted secretary stood up and walked over to meet him face to face, a fraction of his height._ _From beneath the cape extends a bony hand, and Susie extends hers to shake it. "The previous president and I were great business partners for a time," he explained with a little chuckle, "working together on many occasions. I hope to keep that mutual agreement between NME and the HWC."_ _"Absolutely," Susie nodded, never one to turn down a business partner._ _"Anyway," the caped wizard went on with a grin. "As always, I'm only here to talk business. But I must say, it's a bit of a different kind of business this time..."_ _"How so?" she inquired._ _"Recently NME entered a new, promising...trade organization," he explained. "I'd like to extend an invite to you as well, if it would interest you. Should you accept, we'd particularly be honored to sponsor the Haltmann Works Company on a mission to summon a Galactic Nova."_ _"A Nova?" He had her interest up until that point. She has some bad experience with the clockwork stars... "...what exactly is this trade organization you speak of?"_ _"We call ourselves the Boss Raid. I have a sort of 'business card' here, if you will..."_ _The president of NME reached into his cape and brought forth a jeweled amulet, a deep navy blue centered with a violet jewel, lined with golden musical notes. The secretary's attention was immediately captivated by the precious, seemingly expensive item, and began to study it closer._ _Suddenly she looked up and around the office as if she'd seen a ghost. "Whoa...what is this?!" The wizard didn't reply, simply grinning and beginning to chuckle to himself._ _In a few more seconds time, Susie found herself beginning to step, spin, and dance, humming a little song. "It's beautiful..."_ Reviewing the recording now, she just buries her head in her hands in embarrassment. She can't believe KIRBY, of all beings, is watching her DANCE. But it becomes less embarrassing and more concerning when she remembers what exactly she was hearing there...the moment she gazed into the amulet, all around her suddenly appeared instruments of all shapes and sizes, playing the most beautiful song in harmony. Even the president before her, she could hear his voice singing...she had felt her body beginning to move on its own, energized and dancing as the music slowly took over. But then it got even stranger. She had begun to realize what was going on. _"Hold on...w-what's happening to me?!" she had begun to panic._ _"Why resist?" Nightmare replied. "How could anyone NOT want the power of the RMX Amplifier? You know how the song goes...just sing along!"_ _Susie found herself no longer able to speak, her voice preoccupied, vocalizing what she was hearing. It was a pleasant melody at first, but suddenly the music in her head began to distort and speed up, her movements becoming sudden and aggressive in the dance that no longer looked like a dance. A visible aura began to flare up from her body, spinning faster than should be possible and rising into the air, as a splitting headache came to be from the sharp, chaotic sounds now._ _"WAAAAGH!!" Susie screamed, before the aura dissipated and she fell onto the carpet unconscious._ "Hold on..." A new suspicion surfaced in the promoted secretary's heart, as she fast-forwarded the recording a couple minutes. _The Nightmare Wizard never left before she awoke and stood back up._ _"...wow..." Susie's hands went to the mechanical blades on her hood, as if they were headphones. The better part of the song was now stuck in her head on loop, and she subconsciously felt energized and stronger in her being. "What kind of team could have something like THIS as a 'business card'?" she asked, oblivious to the chaos in her head just minutes ago and not really expecting an answer to the question._ _"That's just the Boss Raid for you," the caped entrepreneur smirked. "Should I tell them you're in?"_ _"I don't see why not!" she shrugged, perfectly content with the idea of an alliance. "I'll get started on the agenda for the Nova right now, then."_ _"Excellent! Great remix! Each video, more and more lore is getting revealed! So... It's Nightmare who has the RMX Amplifier. I just can't wait to see how it affects Drawcia, Daroach, and Zero! Although, I am a little more hyped for Marx and Masked Dedede. Though, I can tell their gonna be amazing!
