    Thank you very much! Works like a charm. Also: if you set your 'ATC option 1' joystick keybind to ON RELEASE instead of ON PRESS, the ptt-button imitation feels even more realistic. And: You do not need to have the ATC window open for this to work.

      Nice! Yeah, I never used a PTT button on my yoke when using AI ATC, but awesome to know that's just one more step you can take to make that more realistic! Very cool!🤟

    Extremely informative. Thank you for spending the time to make the video.

    Spoiler, if you're looking to input your voice and ATC acknowledging what you are saying, this is NOT the video for you. You are only eliminating your AI read back so you're not hearing the same thing twice. Pilot2ATC is something you will be looking for.

    • @skytation
      @skytation  Рік тому

      Yep, as stated in the title, this is a "no add-on" method. Things like Pilot2ATC that take voice commands from you and actually interact (while buggy) are methods that take realistic ATC even one step further....but as an add-on product. This was just simply a way to help someone practice their ATC comms/read back in a simple method.

      @@skytation I was hoping there was a hidden feature I didn't know about that did voice recognization within the game, which would be a "no add-on."

    Im having an issue where sometimes the atc doesnt respond to anything. Ive heard its because i started in a certain parking space is that ever the case?

    • @skytation
      @skytation  10 місяців тому +1

      Hmm, I haven't heard of that one before. I don't play using in game ATC anymore so I'm not sure. Obviously the check on that would be try spawning again at the same spot, see if it happens twice in a row, and then change your spot and see if works. If so, I'd say yeah there's an issue with that spot. My guess is if that's happening it's probably because you're using a custom/addon scenery that maybe has spots the game has not mapped as parking spots in the in game ATC code.

    Question : while I'm close to arriveing Airport I don't know how to contact with ATC tower for information and landing.... even if I find frequency number in airport diagram and put in com 1 or 2 I don't get no respond back please if you have any tutorial video about that let me know. (default flying not vatsim) Thank you so much.

      Been a while since I've flown with the default ATC, but do you not get instruction from the previous (probably center or approach) ATC to contact them? Trying to remember, but I think for me the center/approach controller would tell me to contact tower, then I'd click the tower frequency in the ATC window and would contact them.

    It's awesome that modifications, very nice! I'm thinking if you use that trick with the program Voice Attack free version, and the configuration that says the youtuber Lazerbolt waoo the immersion will be too high. Can you try and let us know your comments? Thanks a lot!

      @@CarlosELugo Oh ok I see...yeah that's pretty cool! So he's basically just triggering the in game ATC using his voice. Only thing that was a bit weird about it was he would say something, then the sim pilot would essentially repeat it...that would be where you could technically merge these two techniques. Use my method to remove the sound of the sim pilot, and then his method of triggering the sim to know that an ATC response has been given. That might work...if you try it let me know how it goes!

    are you perhaps known as SirCrashALot (i made fun of your real nickname which started with Sir, but i forgot what the rest was. I only remember my joke name for it)?
    Mr SirCrashALot used to play of Hippy Happy Germany. FSX server in the good old days, like say some 15 years ago or so. I cant recall when exactly.
    Set up by mr Testili, and his companions like Jas69 and such.
    You sound like him. I never seen him, i just heard his voice over the mic and we flew a lot together in every kind of plane that was in FSX. From the realistic PMDG Addon planes to the generic bs crap addons.
    Anyways, thanks for this video sir, it does help a lot.
    Even if i may be mistaken and you are not SirCrashALot.
