A satirical look at the state of the UK economy, and some of the measures being taken to combat the budget deficit, also a look at some of the more extreme measures this government would definitely take if they ever thought they could get away with it.
George Parr is a fictitious character often used in political satire, who tells it exactly as it is, rather than using political rhetoric to avoid the issues.
If only real politicians would do that.

When was this first published? It's fab - and still so current! The Tory govt still believe that shit and are even accelerating the process! No wonder they want us to manage it ourselves: they don't want the responsibility.
