I don't have daughters but the Lord blessed us with three sons. Two have passed; one last year, and one 20 years ago. I have had such a close relationship with them and I miss then terribly. Mother's & sons do have a very special bond that even a loving wife acknowledges.

Lost my mom one year ago today. It's never gotten any easier. We were best friends. The oldest out of four and the only son. Maybe that's why we were so close. She was a good Christian woman and the only thing that gives me peace is I know she went on to be with our Lord and savior.

Yep this one got me good. Mybaby boy is now 19 and going to the army. Its killing me that he dosent just live down the hall now. I worry sick about him constantly, I pray for him daily, I miss him painfully and I love him immeasurably. I wish so bad that he could just be 3 years old again. I want to hold his little body and read him his favorite book snuggled up with his blankey and bunny blue..i want to watch him play leaf wars in the back yard through the bathroom window..im not ready to let go..dont think a mother ever really is. Ma’am, I recently joined the navy, so I think I should say how it feels the opposite way. My mother is my best friend and I wish so bad to go back home and just spend a minute with my mom, dad and wife. Even though none of us get that luxury right now it’s all I think about. Ma'am I was in the army, served for a year, got out, got a degree, a job, my own business, it's been a wild 10 years, but I do miss home... and I'm working on getting back home, near my parents.
I miss my parents being young and me being carefree. I fear that one day they won't be around anymore and I don't know how I'd ever handle that.

@@RisaLeexx The pregnancy was rough with a lot of complications, I almost didn't survive the birth, but my boy and I are okay now. He is definitely a mommy's boy. I didn't think I could love anyone as much as my daughter, but then my son came along and somehow my heart has stretched with plenty of room for both of them. He is such a sweet, smart, goofy baby and he's sooo chonky 💗 (love me some chonky babies lol)

Over a decade ago, I was waiting for a call to report for a private duty assignment in The Gulf.
(BTW - That call never came.)
Out of the blue my Mother looked at me and asked me; "Your gonna be careful, right?"
That took me by surprise. So, to break her worried tone, I chuckled and said sure Ma! What do you wanna do... write me a note?"
Soooo... the following visit to my then 92-year-old Ex Minister / Missionary Mother, she hands me a 3 X5 card, and tells me; "I wrote you a note, promise me, you'll always keep it on you!" Without hesitation I replied; "Sure Ma, I PROMISE, I'll always will keep it on me."

I've been looking for the perfect song for my son and I to dance at his wedding for our mother and son dance. I just found it! This is it! The wedding is Sept 16 2022. It's been difficult. My mom passed away and my future daughter in law lost her grandmother. They both lost their Grandmother's within a couple months. We're still devastated. They will be there in heart.
